This week I had two very special parcels heading into the post for my sister in law Kate. Firstly it was her 30th Birthday, and then a Baby shower gift for her little jellybean, that is due in two weeks! The very BIG downside to living on the opposite side of the country to family is that you miss out on the wonderful celebrations that milestone birthdays and new babies bring. I was very sad to miss both of these events Hopefully I can scoot over soon for a sweet snuggle of that new baby niece or nephew!
So with parcels comes packaging. I have been making a bit of my own packaging of late and I thought I would share it with you. A simple way to be creative, and make a give personal at the same time.
So here is the parcel I sent for Kate’s 30th birthday, with her matching birthday card….

Here is the wrapped parcel….
The Birthday card…..
The parcel is wrapped with your standard brown paper, and then a band of 4 inch wide lace, followed by 1 inch grosgrain ribbon. The tag is made in the coordinating cardstock and tied off with linen thread.
Next up is the wrapped Babyshower gift. Again I have gone with the brown paper, decorated with ribbon and coordinating tag…

Seeing as I haven’t stamped or been crafty for awhile, I really really enjoyed myself. My studies are taking up so much of my time of late, but I am happy to say that I have made these items and sewn two bags this week, so that has felt great! I will be sure to show them to you this week too!
Have a wonderful blessed weekend everyone!
