I hope you are well and looking forward to the weekend. What a week it has been! First I had our 12 year wedding anniversary, then my birthday, and also Book week for the kids. Not to mention all the prep for the Stamp-a-thon as well. Not long now till I leave for Perth…. Sunday actually! I am very much looking forward to seeing my family and friends again. Elijah is having some kidney surgery on Tuesday as well, so hopefully that all goes well…..I tell ya it feels like the world is whizzing by at the moment. I am looking forward to being able to stop and smell the roses again (translated to stamping again!)

Well that turned out to be quite the week for me! I have just spent the past 3 days on Elijah’s School Camp. We were camping up at Cape Tribulation in the Daintree Rainforest. At first I was really sceptical about the whole event, I mean I had to drive 2.5 hours with 7 boys in my car, and they didn’t provide ear plugs!!! Not to mention Camping is not really in my resume either.

So how did it go? ….it was a blast! I actually really enjoyed it. We had a tight schedule with so many places to visit and things to do, it was exhausting, but very very enjoyable. I was all set to have this post up last night, but came home with a nasty headache so went off to bed early. Feeling much better now which is good.

Since we arrived home from our big trip to Canada etc… I feel like I have been chasing my tail constantly. First all the unpacking and what not, then being terribly sick for 10 days, followed by the Stamp-a-thon prepartaions, and now camp! It has been great but I do really look forward to the days where I can be on top of everything, and also have some stamping time too! I am sure you are looking forward to seeing some creative work too one of these days! Well I promise peeps, it will come, I just have the Stamp-a-thon, my birthday and wedding anniversary along with my trip to Perth to get through, and I promise the creative days will be back!

So onto much more interesting info, the newest challenge for you all! This week we have a colour challenge, and these colours are beautiful together! I hope you love them as much as I did…

Well I am back with another challenge for you all this week. I really hope you feel inspired by this one and enjoy getting creative with this sketch. I know I did. MAN OH MAN, was it hard getting out the stamps and making this card, my very first in two months!!! I feel so rusty and completely uncoordinated!!!! Just picking the dsp was really hard, and took me nearly an hour! Hopefully this coming week I get to stamp some more and I won’t be so freaked out by it all! lol!

WOW it is hard to believe it is Friday again! After being away for 6 weeks, and then sick for a week, I have been sooooo far behind on everything. Thankfully this week i have been catching up, and getting things for the Stamp-a-thon organised. Not long now people, so be sure to get your registration in! Places are filling really fast which we are really happy about. If you were thinking of coming along please register as I hate to turn people away! But with all that I have had no time to stamp, actually I am a bit afraid of starting again!

So it seems that either this was a TERRIBLE colour combo, or you just have been so super busy that you didn’t get to play along,…… I am thinking maybe the first reason was it because it ran for two weeks! Never mind, those that did manage to play along certainly did make some beauties for sure!

The Inkspirations winner was this gorgeous card by Iwona Palamountain. I adore the colouring in this one!

Then the Honourable Mention is the darling creation by Natasha Murray. I love the weaved background she created, very neat!

I hope you have had a great start to the week! I had a power day today and managed to get so much done all before lunch too! I love it when that happens.

I have had something to show you for two weeks, and am finally getting the chance to post about it. Recently I was asked to participate in a Stamper’s Showcase for the Australian Stamping and Papercraft magazine. I was sent a stamp from Motivet and had to create two cards using it.

Here is what I came up with…..

The front mag cover and my two cards…..

This first card I made using Chocolate chip cardstock and different shades of the Good morning Sunshine dsp from Stampin’Up. The image I have coloured with my Copic markers on some X-press it blending card. I added the kiwi kiss satin ribbon attached to a mini paperclip, some paper piercing and the spiral edge punch for embellishment.

This next card I created on a base of Basic grey cardstock, layered with some Urban garden dsp from Stampin’Up. I have stamped the same image and have watercoloured it with my stamp pads and aquapainter. The greeting is from the Really retro stamp set from SU. I added some pewter brads, and the basic grey taffeta ribbon as embellishments

Well I am sure some of you are wondering where in the world I have been this past week, and especially on Friday for the Inkspiration Challenge and what not…..well life just got in the way this week! I still spent the week picking myself up from this nasty bout of Tonsillitis! I can’t remember feeling this sick and exhausted for some time…… so decided to just give myself the time I needed to get back to 100% again. It certainly seems to be the season for it! My parents were both really unwell this week and so was a couple of the Design Team! We all made the executive decision to have a week off to get back to being in full creative swing again!

So the current colour challenge will run until this week Thursday…… so hopefully some more of you will play too! It seems that this colour combo has scared a few of you off as not many have played at all! So give it a go people, I am sure you will be surprised by what you come up with!

I will endeavour to get creative this week and share. I really have lost all my creative abilities, I swear! I sat down a couple of times this week to work on some projects for the Stamp-a-thon and came up with zilch! It is so very frustrating, but I suppose when you don’t stamp for 8 weeks you are bound to have some creative blocking ey?

I am beyond excited to share with you today our plans to host the Stamp-a-thon to raise more for the National Breast Cancer Foundation! This will be the fourth event with each one getting bigger and better…..

As the event has always been hosted in Perth WA, I will be travelling back to have this wonderful event put together by myself and the fabulous Charmaine, and Louise.

Once again places are strictly limited and so you best get your friends, and your registrations to me asap! I am very excited about seeing some of my stamping friends once again and of course sharing your excitement over a brand new Stampin’Up catalog!!!

Well I have to say it is so good to be back here at my crafty desk, on Maisie Mac viewing all your fabulous entries to this past weeks Sketch challenge!

I had a big reality check the past couple of days as I have been struck down with a nasty case of Tonsillitis! On wednesday I was starting to get through all that washing, and unpacking when I came down with a nasty migraine! I then got the chills and the sore throat. I took myself off to the doctors and yep it was tonsillitis again! I only had this just before we went on our trip and then to get it three days after being home was a real shock. Anyway I am slowly on the mend, I have pretty much slept for two full days, and still have quite the woosy head, but hopefully the antibiotics kick in and I recover quickly etc…….just when I am dying to get in and start stamping with my new booty ey?

Thanks for all the comments on my new embarrassingly huge stash of crafty goodness too….. I can really see that it is what excites you all, and yes I too can’t wait to see what I can do with it all! just gotta get better first!

Okay so it is back to me picking the challenge winners each week seeing as I am home again! It was interesting to read the DT girls posts on who won each week…..AND to read that they all found it really hard to pick winners! I struggle with this week in, week out as you guys are all so talented! This week was no different either!
