Inkspirations Colour Challenge #28…..

Hey there,

Friday Challenge time already! Another week has zoomed by fast! This week we have a colour challenge for you, and they are great set colours…..well I enjoyed working with them!

Here are the colours for you this week:

Here is my sample for you:

For this creation I have used the challenge colours and combined them with the On my couch stamp set from PTI. The video I created was showing you how to do backgrounds with your Copic markers, and Nestabilities. When I filmed this video it was the last one of eight! I have been busy with pre-stamping prep before we went away, and well I do sound a little scatterbrained when I did it, because I was so tired! Anyway you get the drift, and hopefully it is something that you learn by! So enjoy!

Here is our wonderful Guest Designer for this week, Sally Little:

Here is my video for you:

Here is the inspiration from the Design Team! Be sure to give them some comment LOVE too!

Inkspirations Challenges!!!

hey challenge hungry peoples!

We have fun and exciting announcements today about the Inkspirations Challenges. I have had you all hanging since last week, but today is the day peeps…… changes are happening.

Okay so I am just going to give you the changes in bullet point……

  • Inspiration challenges are now gone……yes it seemed the people were finding these a bit hard and were not too inspired to play along. So we thought we would drop them and stick with what we all do best, the Sketch and Colour challenges.
  • The challenge numbers will be going up numerically so it is far less confusing for everyone
  • We will now be using inlinkz rather than Mr Linky, as it is more reliable, and you also get to see the front image of each persons creation. Also that way since you can view them that way, I won’t be doing the slide show each week….one less job to stress about on Fridays :)
  • Now this is the fun part. Each week when a Inkspiration winner is picked, by myself or one of the DT the winner will have the opportunity (if they wish) to be the following weeks Guest Designer. So if you win and want to play along you will be given the sketch or colours ahead of time and then have your sample, posted below mine when we do the new challenge announcement post the following week. That way you all get to be stars and get rewarded for playing and winning. I love this idea, and am really looking forward to seeing lots of people being creative stars amongst the Inkspirations DT each week!
  • The last challenge for each month is going to be hosted by one of the DT girls over on their blogs. So you can pop on over there, and link your creation, but that is not all!!! Each time one of the DT girls hosts a challenge, they are going to mix it up a little by adding their own challenge ‘EXTRA”! . So you may have to work with buttons, tearing, vintage…..who knows, only the hosting DT knows, and will announce the winner on their blog the following week… and wait there is more. If you win this DT challenge you get to receive that DT persons card design sent to you right to your mail box. Now who doesn’t like to receive happy mail ey?
  • Another new change is that I hope to post a video each week with some tip, or stamping technique, etc… with my challenge sample each week. I am hoping this won’t be too hard to do, so am giving it a go. Should be lots of fun, and great for the visual learner too!
The DT and I are very excited about the new changes and we hope that you will be too!
So what is the challenge for this week? We are starting off with a Sketch #25…..This is a great sketch and i hope you have fun with it!
Sketch Challenge #25
Now exciting stuff, i have put together video for you all too, which teaches you how to do skin tones when using your Copic markers. I hope you enjoy it!

Here is the inspiration from the Design Team! Be sure to give them some comment LOVE too!

ETA: If you have come to link up your creation and notice the InLinkz has shut down, please just add your link in the comments section and I can check it out from there. Sorry everyone, I am not too sure why it shut down on the 1st rather than the 3rd! Thanks!

Holiday Blitz Tutorial for Splitcoast Stampers….

Hey Peeps,

Finally got the chance to get back to you all! My dear little Mali has Gastro, the poor lil’ poppett. Now we are just waiting for it to hit the rest of us….meaning me!  If there is gastro going around I get it without fail, but I am popping my pro-biotics and praying that I don’t get it!

Now onto something far more flavoursome that gastro, my exciting news that I was going to share yesterday!

I had a pleasant surprise, recently when I was asked to write another tutorial for Splitcoast Stampers, this time for their Holiday Blitz in preparations for Christmas! The catch was that I also needed to do a You Tube video of the tutorial……ummm sure that would be fine  (gives me the opportunity to work out the whole You Tube experience!)

Well let me tell you, that was QUITE the experience! Not one I would rather repeat, as I had the worst time trying to work out Photoshop Premiere Elements….that thing is written for Einstein’s!!! I wouldn’t like to call myself stubborn but boy oh boy, persistence certainly was the key to getting this project off the ground. Poor Beate had to put up with my panicked emails, and phone calls to her ( it was rather wonderful chatting to her personally though!)

But in the end perseverance won out, and I got that video uploaded and ready to watch……so you want to watch it? - I do confess to cringing everytime I hear my voice and intro on the video, but I suppose the whole purpose was to actually teach you how to make the Scrapbook Wallet I designed, and that is what I achieved in the end.

So for you out of country viewers, have a good ol laugh at this Aussie’s accent! LOL!

If you want to view the step by step photos, you can check them out at the following link:

http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/resources/tutorials/scrapbookwallet

Please tell me what you think, and hey if you want to see more videos on here too! Since I now know how to do them, it might be a great way to share my tutorials :)

Hope you are having a great week!
