Make it Monday # 12 - Gift Wrapped Choc Boxes

Hey everyone,

Where does the week go???I tell ya i feel as if these Make it Mondays come around sooooo fast! It really goes so quickly, but I think that may have to do with me being a little unorganized this week! I usually like to pre-prep things, well at least know what I am going to show you, but this week, I just couldn’t get it together. I think it has something to do with the school holidays! Life is just bliss at the moment. So great to take each day slowly…..I’m lovin the sleepins!!!!!

Okay so onto the Make it Monday for this week. It is a real easy one, and you will all be thinking I am a slacker! Well that is okay cuz I kinda am. I was sitting at my desk today contemplating what to make for the MIM, and looked up to my shelf to find this little box, hmmmm an empty Ferrero Rocher chocolate box…you know those yummo choccies. Well they come in these great clear, hard plastic containers. I saved it from a while ago, thinking it would be great to decorate. Now the fabulous thing about this weeks MIM, is that you need the box. So I have given you the PERFECT excuse to get yourself a box, and scoff the lot of chocolates! Well I suppose you could keep the chocolates in there and just decorate it, but really I think eating them is the better option for sure!

Right so here is what i have done with the said box…….

Materials required

Step 2:

Add a strip of DS paper into the middle just in from the edges, ( the strip will be 2 3/4 inches wide) of your cardstock

Step 3:

Run your hands up and down that strip of cardstock to soften it which will make it easier to bend over your box. It will start to curl like in the picture……this is good!

Step 4:

Add two strips of tape onto one end of the strip

Step 5:

Now wrap your strip around the centre of your box and stick it onto the tape. It will jsut overlap each other.

Step 7:

Add some decoration to the side of your box. Here I have used my scallop, and circle punches and a punch out of DS paper and a brad.

Step 8:

Add your wide ribbon around the middle and tie a nice big bow at the top

Step 9:

Add your tag to the ribbon tied off with some cord or twine

Final product:

Cute hey! Now it is ready to fill with anything you like. It could be baking, candy, soaps, stationary or the like. I think fudge or truffles would go good, but I didn;t make any because then I would eat them, and I am trying to behave myself!

For this one I have used the Summer Picnic paper pack, and the Die-cut blooms from the Stampin’Up’s Spring mini catalogue.

And here is a more manly one. I have used the Spring break paper pack from Stampin’Up, and used some of the paper to punch out that cute hibicus flower. I then again used Stampin’Up’s Taggers Dozen stamp set to make the tag. The ribbon is Old olive wide grosgrain ribbon.

Alrighty there you have this weeks! I hope you like them, even though they are easy! AND remember about my special at the moment! i don’t want you to miss out!

Take care,
