Inkspirations Sketch Challenge #34….

Published by Makeesha under Scrapbooking

Hi ho peoples,

Well I am back with another challenge for you all this week. I really hope you feel inspired by this one and enjoy getting creative with this sketch. I know I did. MAN OH MAN, was it hard getting out the stamps and making this card, my very first in two months!!! I feel so rusty and completely uncoordinated!!!! Just picking the dsp was really hard, and took me nearly an hour! Hopefully this coming week I get to stamp some more and I won’t be so freaked out by it all! lol!

Okay so the sketch this week is as follows:

Here is my sample for you…..

I don’t have a video for you this week, as getting the card made was enough challenge at this stage…..fingers crossed for next week!

This is Helen Heil, our wonderful Guest Designers creation for you too…..

Don’t forget our fabulous Design Team’s creations too….

A lovely couple….

Published by Makeesha under Scrapbooking

hey everyone,

Well this is the last of my pre-scheduled posts…..we are currently somewhere between New York, Hong Kong, and Brisbane!

I am so looking forward to being home, and in my stamping room, especially with all the booty I have picked up along the way! I can’t wait to share that all with you.

So last of all, I have a Scrap page of my dear brother and his Fiance Kate. This photo was taken when I took them to Cape Tribulation when they were here in May. I love this photo of them, and have it on my fridge. I smile each time I see it.

I have combined Not quite navy cardstock and October afternoon dsp with some nestabilities labels to do the journalling. Aren’t they are handsome couple??!!

Okay peeps, I look forward to being home and into a regular schedule! Looking forward to blogging from the other side from now on……

Love to all!

Sister of the heart…..

Published by Makeesha under Scrapbooking

Hey there!

The weekend already? Where is this year going?

Today I have a scrap page to share of a photo of Kate and I from when they visited us in Cairns recently. Oh i love this girl! I was always sad I wasn’t blessed with a sister but I have been so blessed to have Kate (my brother’s fiance) come along. She is the sweetest gal, and I really can call here a sister of the heart!

We will be meeting up with this gorgeous gal this next weekend on her side of the world. We are all really looking forward to seeing Kate home, and meeting more of her wonderful family. I will be sure to keep you posted!

Ciao!

Cuppa and Couch….. the perfect combo!

Published by Makeesha under Scrapbooking

Hey there everyone!

Today I have two cards that combine two of my most favourite things…….tea and the couch, and it is even better if it is shared with a friend too! I love to sit cozy on the couch chatting to a dear friend!

First off the tea…..

Here is a get well card I made for a friend, using the Tea for Two stamp set from PTI along with some My mind’s eye dsp. I love paper piecing that teapot, and am really happy with the vintage look of this card. The perfect get well card…..

Now for the couch:

Another fun creation using those couches from the On my couch stamp set from PTI. I love this spotty couch stamped in Eggplant! I have used the polkadot background stamp, along with some strips of dsp and my netstabilities…….a very simple and easy creation!

So there, I hope that has made you feel like popping the kettle on, and making yourself a nice cuppa to be enjoyed on the couch……go on you deserve it!

Enjoy!

Off to a Picnic…..

Published by Makeesha under Scrapbooking

Not a teddy bears picnic…….

But I wouldn’t mind taking this sweet basket along! I am sure you have seen these amazing Paper Picnic baskets around, but I finally got to make one the other day, and what fun that was! I love this basket created by Lauren Meader, and it is nice and deep that you can put lots of gifts or goodies inside too!

Here is my Picnic basket:

The outside of the picnic basket….

Side angle….

And lastly the top tied of with some yummy wide ribbon!

I can’t wait to fill this with goodies to give away to someone…totally cute, and you can even make a mini one too!

Thanks for looking!
