Scrapbook Saturday # 15

Hi again,

I just remembered that I need to show you the Scrapped page of Elijah for Scrapbook Saturday!

So here is my handsome young man that is growing up way too fast, for you:

Okay so for this page I have used Basic grey for the base cardstock and mounted the photo with some Baja breeze spotty DSP, and the stripes of Riding hood red DSP. I used the greeting stamp from the Best yet stamp set from Stampin’Up, and added some paper piercing, and 3 jumbo antique brass brads for embellishment. I love the clean crisp look of this page.

Hope you likes :)

Scrap it Saturday # 13

Well I am getting this in on Saturday by the skin of my teeth! It is 11:47pm, and WOW, what a day I have just had……can you believe I managed to fit in 3 different events today……. ! I won’t go into it all, but I am so pleased it all came together nicely, as it truly had the potential to be a big flop today!

Anyway, it is late and I am knackered, so going to nice and brief for you all….

Here is the completed page I scrapped of Malakai for you :)

The colours I have used are Baja breeze, Basic grey, Tangerine tango and Whisper white. The stamps I used are Inspired by nature, and Life definitions.

My little Mali has actually had a hair cut……Yep I finally had to let go of my wee little man, and let him be a boy, and have a Big Boy’s haircut as he called, it. I will have to capture that on a photo to share with you. It was hard to do, but since he will be 6 next month, I really had to let go……funny how you don’t want them to grow up, but you do? weird….okay I can tell I am waffling so I must be very tired! Off to bed now!

 Ciao!

Scrap it Saturday # 12

Published by Makeesha under Scrap it Saturday

 Hello my friends!

What a fabulous Saturday it is in Perth. The weather is glorious today! I have been working in the Fruit shed today, and whilst it isn’t my favourite place to be, i thorougly enjoyed myself grading, packing, and stickering the trays of Sweet Persimmons. I will try to take a pic one of these days and share it with you. I suppose I do need to enjoy it because it is going to be the last time (hopefully) that we will be running the Fruit season here!

Anyway time to share with you the page I have Scrapped of Janaya for this weeks Scrap it Saturday!

Using my all time Favourite Colour combo for the moment, and the Sweet always DSP from Stampin’Up, I have scrapped this page of Janaya. I also dressed it up with the Scallop border punch, Regal rose grosgrain ribbon and the Always stamp set Birdie and gretting. I am pleased with how this turned out in the end.

My sweet monkey…….ALWAYS!

I will be be back to chat about the next round of MYSTERY Blog Candy! woo hoo!

Hope you are all having a great Saturday~!!!

Scrap it Saturday…..#7, 10 & 11

 Hey there!

I hope you are all having a great weekend! I have, except I have now come down with Tonsillitis! I have had the sorest throat for 2 days, which isn’t fun, but bearable all the same. Anyway it is good to be taking it a bit easy today.

So I am pretty excited to have these Scrap it Saturday photos all scrapped for you, and my Photo journal album up to date! It is growing slowly, and whilst it is work, I just know I will love looking through it at the end of the year!

Okay so I have to scoot back a few weeks, and show you that photo from when we went to The Great Barrier Reef! I had totally forgotten about that one, and when I was going through a stack of photos and came  it, and I was like DOH! I have forgotten this one!

Well here is the page scrapped :

I thought I would go with the whole Reef / Ocean / Fish theme. I have used Taken with teal cardstock for the base which I stamped with the little dots from the Itty Bitty backgrounds stamp set with Versamark. Next I cut all the long thin strips with my Creative Memories cutters, to appear like seaweed. (I am not too sure about it, but Rod thinks it is ingenious….. what a sweetheart!) I have just layered them up, and then mounted our photo onto black cardstock. Next I have Stamped up the fish and seahorse from the Ocean Commotion stamp set and blinged them up with some glitter, and then placed them in amongst the seaweed.

Next scrap page is from Elijah’s birthday last week :

Here is my little man……I love this colour combo, with the new Baja breeze! I have used Chocolate chip cardstock for the base, which I added a strip of the wide chocolate stitched ribbon to. I mounted my photo with Baja breeze cardstock and also added some photo corners. I have stamped up the cupcake from the Big bold birthday stamp set, which I mounted onto two cut out circles. Lastly I added the word Birthday which I have stamped up with the Outline alphabet stamp set, and cut out, layering it around the circle.

Then last of all the picture of my two Brothers-in-law, David and Ivan

These two guys love to surf, so I had to somehow work with the Surfs up stamp set. I have used a different colour combo, which kinda just came together, because I have limited DSP whilst I am awaiting delivery of my new big box of goodies from SU! I have used some DSP from the Good Morning Sunshine DSP pack onto Kraft cardstock, and a small strip of Riding hood red. I created a tag with my tag punch, and tied it off onto the chocolate ribbon. Then I used the Wonderful favourites stamp set to add the greeting, and last of all an arrow, with a red brad.

Oh it feels really good to be up to date with these, and hopefully I can stay on track!

Have a good night!

Scrap it Saturday # 9

Howdy!

I hope you have had a great Saturday! I have had a fabulous day today…..relaxing, taking it easy, and yep I will let you in on a little secret…..(im still in my jammies at 5pm)! Terrible i know, but they have just been so super comfy, and Rod keeps trying to teach me to chill out, so he is rather amused by it all. Good thing no one has randomly “popped in” today! I have worked really hard this week to do all sorts of things off my list, so it feels reallly rewarding to be taking the day very casually.

Okay enough waffle, here is my Scap it Saturday page for you!

Here is that little man of mine! I have used Basic Grey cardstock and then all the trimmings from the Crew Kids Boys Scrapping Kit from Stampin’Up! Oh how I have loved this kit this year. the colours are fabulous, and the die-cut adhesives are SOOOPER DOOOOPER easy to use. Wham Bam and you have yourself a page or a card. I have just used some of the wide double stitched Bashful blue ribbon to tuck in under the photo.

So there you have this weeks Scrap it Saturday!

Ciao!
