Challenge time again! yeah baby!

This week we all have a colour challenge for you! A bright one too. I struggle with Bold brights and whilst these aren’t quite bold bright colours they are not usual colours that i would use. At first I was stumped as to what to do with them, but I am so happy with my end result.

This card is going to my gorgeous Sister in law Kate who just fond out she got into an accelerated Nursing program at a University in Philadelpha. We are so happy for her. Oh and I am sooooo super excited because she along with my brother are coming over for a visit and arrive at the wee hours of 4am on Tuesday morning…….but it is totally worth it to spend 10 luxurious days with them. I can’t wait!

Okay so for this card I have used some Red grosgrain ribbon that I have ruffled and stampled. The flower is the Die-cut blooms from Stampin’Up. I have dressed it up with a large red button and embroidery thread. I also added some score lines into the Whisper white cardstock that I did with my Scorepal. The greeting is from the Organic outlines stamp set from which i stamped with Real red ink.

I have just had a ball checking out all your beautiful creations! Love, love, love them! Everyone seems to love the sketch challenges more than anything else which is interesting! So glad you enjoyed the sketch this week.

Okay so who won? Well once again it was a very hard decision to make, but I absolutely LOVED this creation by Genelle Little. Such a fabulous idea framing the gorgeous cocktail glass into the silver tag! And well how can she go wrong with that fabulous colour combo…..my all time fave! LOL!

Sorry that this post is late. I had a terrible day yesterday, which you just DON”T WANT to ask about! I will share about that another day when I have processed it a little more The day I had planned just turned to mush so now I am playing catch up. I am not going to do a winning round up for the last challenge this week. I am sure you still can enjoy visiting everyone’s fabulous blogs and viewing their creations.

So here is the newest sketch for you this week!

Now this card I have made is using a brand new stamp set! It actually was a special gift from a very special lady that i received in the mail this week. Here is what I received from the gorgeous Dawn McVey!!!! It had beautiful Dawn hand stamped original, and her beautiful Delightful Dahlia stamp set. What a sweetie I know I am going to really enjoy this stamp, as it kinda reminds me of the BOUF! lol..

Here is my sample for you all:

Such a pretty flower! I have stamped the large flower three times and coloured, cut, and layered them. I have added the glitter and the pearl for extra bling.The greeting is also from Papertrey Ink, the Mega mixed messages set. I have added Chocolate chip satin ribbon, paper piercing, and the Chocolate brads (SU) to dress it up as well.

I am really really struggling with taking photos of my creations lately! I don’t have any spot that I can set up that has great light. Also with the rain that is here and all the cloud around the mountains it is rarely bright and sunny. It is sooooo frustrating, so I am sorry the photo isn’t really the best. This card is quite sweet in real life, but I don’t feel as I have captured it all too well Ah well, I will just have to practice and work out the best lighting in this house somehow.

I hope you have all had a fabulous week! It is absolutely pouring here at the moment and hasn’t stopped in the past 24 hours……..I am starting to understand what they call the wet season in Tropical Queensland. As I drove the kids to school this morning, the bike path the i rode on only 24 hours ago is now 1/2 metre deep with water. Then the kids school oval, was turned into a lake and completely covered with water. The kids had a School Fun Run booked for today, but of course it was cancelled till next week. We have had lover 140ml of water in the past day. Earlier this week Perth had 40ml in 8 hours and there was complete chaos, and hospitals closed down etc…… Obviously Queensland is used to the rain and flooding etc…. because 140ml is a LOT of water!

So I thoroughly enjoyed looking at everyone’s creations this week, and wow you have all done so well with the challenges! I find it interesting that the Inspiration challenges are the ones that are least played, and yet when you guys play out comes your best work! So give them a go guys, they really aren’t that scary! LOL!

Anyway I better announce that winner and honourable mention hey. This week I have picked a gorgeous creation, by my very talented stamper, and who actually happens to be my bestie too! Lee Pelosi has only been playing for a wee while and each week I am blown away by her beautiful creations. I am sure you will agree that this card is a real stunner!

Then for this weeks honourable mention I chose another beauty by Bec Gomez. I loved the combination of panels, hodgepodge, and ribbon and how the flowers sit too. Just beautiful Bec!

Of course it is so hard to pick each week! I loved them all, but these two are the ones that made my jaw drop the second I saw them pop up on my puter screen. Well done ladies.
