Inkspirations Colour Challenge #44…..

Hello again!

Well it is that time of week again and I hope you are all excited to play along with another challenge! This week we have a Colour Challenge which includes a couple of new colours, so should be rather inspiring!

Here are your colours to play with:

Here is my colour inspired sample for you…

Digging out one of my new SU stamps, this is actually a jumbo roller that I removed from the roller and cut the onesie’s out of the rubber, and attached to Easy-mount so I can use my acrylic block to stamp them with….

Next up we have our fabulous Guest Designer Lee-Anne Barry with her amazing creation this week! - Thank you Lee-Anne!

Just Beautiful Lee-Anne!

And last but not least, we have a ‘IN-HOUSE Guest Designer this week as well. Yes the gorgeous Lee Pelosi, my bff and I had fun putting our challenge cards together squished into my craft room was so much fun….

Isn’t her creation just gorgeous! Sadly I have to take her to the airport shortly so she can return to her family. We have had such a lovely time together, and it this morning had a lovely brekkie at Palm Cove….I managed to snag this lovely photo of her…

Now that is what you  call a BIG breakfast!

Here are the inspiration from the Design team…. as you can see there are only a few of us at the moment….. I recieved so many applications for the DT, that it has taken me quite a bit of time to go through them all. I am narrowing it down slowly. SO if you haven’t heard back from me yet, don’t panic just yet, because no one has been contacted just yet…. a perfect job for tomorrow. You will all know shortly!

Okay so be sure to pop past the DT girls blogs and see what they have made, no doubt it will be inspirational!

Inkspirations Sketch Challenge #43….

Hello again!

Okay straight to business today, as I have to race out the door to go to the kids school. I am a helper for their school end of year production, and get this they have me sewing, on a sewing machine none the less! I haven’t done this since high school, (i was an avid sewer back then) but now having to make costumes is a little daunting to say the least!

So here is this weeks Sketch challenge for you. Nothing too difficult with this one, so dive on in people and play along!

Here is my sample for you:

This weeks fabulous Guest Designer is Rachel Jackson and here is her gorgeous creation:

Love those stacked coffee cups!

Okay so be sure to pop past the DT girls blogs and see what they have made, no doubt it will be inspirational!

Inkspirations Colour Challenge #42…

Hey peoples,

I hope you have all had a great week! My week once again has been pretty eventful…. This week Elijah had surgery to have his adenoids out and some corrective surgery on his nose. So I am hoping that is the very last of surgeries for this family for some time to come! Last night was the first full night sleep I have had in 9 days which was so nice! He is doing pretty well though and even Janaya has picked up. She started to eat again yesterday and finally had some colour back in here cheeks again :)

Also this week I was lucky enough to receive this fun blog award from the fabulous Helen Heil… what a sweetie! For this award I need to share 3 things about myself and then pass it onto 5 other blogs….

Three things about me:

1. I am highly allergic to coffee….(sometimes I wish it was chocolate, it would be better for my waitline!)

2. My middle name is Gale - after my great Grandmother

3. I have a fear of snakes, sharks, and the ocean, but spiders don’t faze me at all

Okay how to narrow this down to only 5 top blogs?! Here goes….

Karen Thomas

Jodene Tripp

Claire Daly

Lee-Anne Barry

Susan Joyce

A BIG thank you to Kirsty for hosting last weeks challenge! There were some amazing watercolouring in the challenge entries - well done people!

This week we have a colour combo for you. Now I just know you will look at it and go, “Keesh, what are you thinking??!” But trust me it does work. Also remember you can use say one or two of the colours and then just highlight with some ribbon or something small… Also I have Kiwi kiss on there, as I had these swatches made up ahead of time, before the colours were all gone etc….. So if you don’t have any Kiwi kiss left- no worries, just use Olive, or Simply chartreuse from Papertrey ink etc…

Here is the colour panel for you all:

here is my sample for you:

I have used that new fun stamp set from SU, called Long fellows..I love stamped turtles, they always have cheeky faces. Super simple this week, but sometimes that is so refreshing too!

Here is our fabulous Guest Designer this week, the talented Louise Layton and her gorgeous creation:

Okay so be sure to pop past the DT girls blogs and see what they have made, no doubt it will be inspirational!

Inkspirations Sketch Challenge # 41!

Hey peeps,

Well it is the lovely Kirsty Brown’s turn to host the challenge this week! Be sure to pop on over to her BLOG HERE to see the newest sketch along with the twist she has added, and all the inspiration from the DT!

My creation was fun to make, and I enjoyed using some of the newest SU colours as well. I have to say I am getting so used to using my Copic markers now, that having to dig out my aquapainter was certainly a change! Good for me though.

So here is my wee little creation:

And here is our lovely guest designer for this week’s beautiful creation……Thank you SHARNEE TORRENTS!

Now don’t forget to be inspired by our design team!

Wonderful Chantelle and the lovely Sarah-Jane have both this week stepped down from the Design team…. They both have had a wonderful time on the DT, and we have absolutely have loved having both of them and seeing their amazing creations each week! Both have wanted to take a break and work on other things, and spend more time with family. I don’t blame them. Being commited to create each week can be tiring, but they have always been committed and done a fabulous job, we are sad to see them go, but wish them all the best, and hope they will play along with the challenges now and then :)

You would have seen my Design Team call yesterday…..yes we have several places to fill so please start sending your applications in peoples!

Have a great night peoples!

Inkspirations Sketch Challenge #39 WINNER…

Hey there peeps,

Well the challenge has been rounded up and I have picked the winners……It was sooooooo super excited to see so many people play this week. I have seen the challenges reallly dwindle of late and was even contemplating stopping them if no one was really interested anymore. As you know there are so many challenge blogs out there now. But you have all inspired me to keep going and hopefully we will have more inspiration each week….may b that new SU catty has something to do with it. There is nothing more inspiring that new rubbah! :)

Man it was really hard to pick a winner this week, as I am sure you can all tell! But this week I was really stunned by this adorable hand made paper flower by Sharnee Torrents, and not to mention her colour combo as well….. a wonderful combination.

This weeks honourable mention is another adorable card, this time by Shirley McAvoy. I loved Shirley’s clever use of the dsp to get the flowers in the background and then the folded paper flowers is adorable as well…. Well done Shirley!

Thanks again everyone for all your amazing creative entries, they sure were amazing! Hope you all have a wonderful day :)
