Inkspirations Sketch Challenge #67….

Published by Makeesha under Cards, Sketch Challenges

Hello my lovelies,

How was your very short week? It is hard to believe that it is Friday already, especially with all those extra days off, AND here in Queensland we get this coming Monday off for a Public Holiday as well, so definitely nice to have another short week next week. Only down side is that it cuts into your to-do list, but I am trying hard to not let that rule me etc….

Anyway back to the Inkspirations challenges this week, and it is a sketch we all have for you. I hope you enjoy this one, i sure did :)

Here is the sketch to work with:

Here is my sketch inspired sample:

I Love this lil cupcake from my Baby button bits stamp set from Papertrey ink, and of course this colour combo too! Be sure to pop past the Inkspirations Challenges Website to see all the other amazing inspiration from the DT and to link up your very own sketch inspired creation.

Have a wonderful weekend,

Happy Days…

Published by Makeesha under Cards

Hey there everyone!

I hope your Easter has gotten off to a lovely start! We have been enjoying ourselves and I am really enjoying having Rod around for 5 days straight, as he is a wonderful help :) We got up bright and early this morning to head down to the Esplanade in Cairns, and who would you think i would bump into? Well it was Mr Wayne Swan, Australia’s acting Prime Minister! I greeted him with a big ‘Good Morning’! I think this is my only brush with fame for all of .025 second….hehehe. We enjoyed a lovely time with the kids and a beautiful breakfast together at one of the restaurants along the boardwalk…now I am thinking that is a great start to the Easter weekend!

So if you have read the Inkspirations Challenges website, you will notice that we have decided to all have the week off, so no challenge creation from me today…but I do still have a creation for you to share. I am actually getting in early this year with my Mother’s Day card which is a surprise even for me :)

This is what I created…..

Here i have again used that LLUUURRRVVVLLLYYY teapot stamp from Papertrey Ink which I paper pieced onto some new Stella & Rose DSP from My mind’s eye. The greeting is also from PTI and i used the Aqua mist satin ribbon from PTI which I dressed with a button.

Here’s hoping I get some stamping time in this holiday weekend….

Take care peeps!

Inkspirations Colour Challenge #66…..

Published by Makeesha under Cards, Colour Challenges

Hello peeps,

Long time no chat! You are probably wondering where in the world i ended up huh? well….I really do have a reason! I have just been back to Perth for a super quick visit before this belly pops. Also my Grandfather isn’t doing too well health wise so it was important to see him, as well as my mum who is just back from studying in the UK, whom I also haven’t seen for almost a year. It was a fly by visit, but it was so lovely to see them both. Since coming home we have been super busy and it is also school holidays with 4 kids it sure keeps me busy in the day.

Anyway apart from all that….life has been good, busy but good.

So this weeks challenge over on the Challenge website is up and here at last is my sample for you all…..

The colours are:

Here is my colour inspired sample:

I love these colours together!

Here I have used the Sahara sand for my base cardstock which i stamped with the Dot basics II from Papertrey Ink. The image and greeting is from my ‘On my couch’ stamp set also from PTI. Super simple yet super cute :)

You can see all the other samples from the DT and link up your creation over on the Inkspirations Challenges website….

Anyway seeing as I am finally caught up on lots (apart from all the Business paperwork) which I hope to attack this afternoon, I am hoping to get some stamping time soon!

Hope you are all having a fabulous week!

A beautiful new niece….

Published by Makeesha under Cards, Family

Hello peeps,

I hope you are all having a fabulous weekend! We have been blessed with a brand new niece this past Friday. Rod’s brother Matthew and his wife Claire were blessed with a teeny tiny daughter whom they named “Teleah Jasmyn” a brand new sister for their two older girls Shakira and Aliesha. Of course we couldn’t wait to get into the hospital to have a cuddle of this wee little bundle….5pd 2oz!

Here is a wee pic of the gorgeous the little vegemite….

Teleah Jasmyn….

Here is Aunty Keesh getting in a first cuddle….

Here is the card i made for this little bundle of gorgeous-ness….

Love all that PINK! I used my PTI outline alphabet stamp set to do up her name and personalise the card… The butterfly is from my Baby button bits stamp set from PTI. I added the glitter, stitching and buttons for embellishments…

Here is how I decorated the inside of the card too….

It is always such a blessing to have a beautiful addition to our family and I am sure Teleah will be showered with loads of love from all her cousins! Hard to believe that this will be us in 7 or so weeks!

Inkspirations Sketch Challenge #65…..

Published by Makeesha under Scrapbooking

Hello people!

Well, well finally back here this week. I really can’t believe a whole week has gone by without a peep from me! Sorry about that! It sure has been a jam packed week and finding that time to blog, just hasn’t happened for me, even when i have stuff to share with you…now that is sad huh?

I got hubby to take some bump photos of me this week, but they most certainly weren’t BLOG WORTHY! The lighting was off, and well I just couldn’t show them to ya in that state. So we will be back for another photo shoot this weekend, i promise!

So this weeks challenge over on the Inkspirations Challenge Blog is a fun sketch. I had so many ideas for this one and will maybe even re-visit over the coming week….so many options!!!

Here is the sketch for you…..

And here is my sketch inspired sample for you all….

I love these pink and lime colours together…. I have used Basic black cardstock for the base, along with some spotty Simply Chatreuse dsp from Papertrey Ink. The floral and leaf stamps are from the Delightful Dahlia stamp set also from PTI. I have stamped them in my Versamark stamp pad and then embossed them with white embossing powder. The greeting is from the same stamp set, and i added some black satin ribbon along with the Raspberry fizz stitched ribbon from PTI, and some wee lil rhinestones for added bling….

I hope you have a blast with this sketch this week. Be sure to pop on over to the Inkspirations Challenges Website to see what other stamping goodness the DT have come up with and to link up your creation….

Have a fabulous weekend!

Love Keesh
