Inkspirations Sketch Challenge #59

Published by Makeesha under Cards, Sketch Challenges

Hey there peeps,

Another week, another challenge. These weeks sure are zipping by. It will be Easter before we know it.

So this week we have a Sketch challenge for you all. Not a hard one, and the possibilities are endless.

Here is the sketch…

Here is my sketch inspired creation…

I had fun colouring another Mo Manning image for this creation. Isn’t she cute? I used my Copic markers to colour her up and added some dazzling diamonds to her balloons. I have used Chocolate chip cardstock for the base, and the dsp is from My mind’s eye and the buttons from PTI.

Be sure to pop past the Inkspirations Challenges website to see all the inspiring creations from the DT and to link up your own creation too!

Have a wonderful weekend everyone!

and three more…..

Hey people,

Well I can’t believe that it is Thursday already! Is your week going as fast as mine? It has been pouring with rain here for almost 24 hours and there is water everywhere. The kids school oval is now a complete swamp…certainly something to see.

So like I promised I have three more cards for you today. This first one is using the Sweet Sunday Sketch challegne as well as Stampingbella’s blog challenge for this week which was to ink up a stamp that you haven’t used before. I LOVE Mo Manning images and this one is adorable. I had a blast colouring it in….

Isn’t this image adorable??!! I have coloured once again withe my delightful Copic markers. The greeting is from the Really retro stamp set from SU. The DSP is Kaiser craft called Hippy girl collection. I added some dazzling diamonds to her skirt for extra bling too.

Next creation is using this weeks Card Patterns sketch. It was a pretty hard sketch (in my opinion) but still I am happy with what I created in the end….

The sketch has these extra little circles that go with the large circles, so I added buttons instead. THe stamped images are from the jumbo roller from Stampin’Up called Baby tees. I coloured them with my Copic markers and cut them out popping them up with dimensionals.

Then last of all I used this weeks Colour Curtain Call challenge. Now this was using primary colours or what you call bold brights. If you have been reading my blog for a while you will know that I am definitely NOT a bold brights kinda gal. So to be honest this combo was a stretch for me, but I did it which is the whole point of a challenge right? I kept it rather simple seeing as the colours are so bold.

Another little boys card which can go in my stash until the boys have a birthday party to attend to. I have stamped the little Lollipop stamp and coloured with my Copic markers. The greeting is from the same set and you can buy it at Stampingbella. I added the Wonderfully worn background stamp to the Tangerine colour. The stars are using my SU star punches.

So there you have it. Now to just find some time to stamp some more, as I really enjoyed putting the last lot of creations together.

Okay people enjoy the rest of your week and I will be back tomorrow with my Inkspirations Challenge creation.

Take care!

3 challenges….

Hello again,

I have to say it is so good to be blogging again! I just seriously hope i can keep it up :)

So today I have three more cards I made for different challenges. I am soooo thankful to these challenge sites, for inspiring me and getting me stamping again! THANK YOU!

So first up I have a challenge card using this weeks sketch from Just Add Ink, along with that I used the colours in the Wplus9 colour challenge as well. Love these colours together, and it is definitely one I will use again as they are so pretty together.

Okay so here is my sketch and colour inspired creation….

Here I have used my PTI stamps and cardstock. The stamp sets I used are the Polka dot basics II which I stamped with Versamark for the background in the kraft cardstock. Next up the lil bug is from the Baby button bits stamp set, and lastly the greeting is from the Signature greetings stamp set. The colours are Hawaiian shores and Plum pudding both from PTI. The ribbon and button are both Plum pudding as well.

Okay next up I have a very SIMPLE card for you. I love the idea of clean and simple stamping, but actually doing that is very hard for me. I keep staring at this card just wanting to add more and more, but am  trying really hard to leave it, because that is the whole purpose hey! This week’s sketch from the Clean and Simple Stamping website, is sweet and very easy to use. This is what I came up with:

See what I mean…. clean and simple! I have used Plum pudding, whisper white and New leaf cardstock, all from PTI. The stamped image is from the Blooming button bits and the greeting is from the same set. I really like this colour combo too, rather bold, but it works.

Then last of all I have a coloured image and using this weeks Card positioning systems sketch. I switched it around slightly, and added some ribbon and stitching… turned around rather cute.

Here i have used Chocolate cardstock for the base and then added some DSP which is from the Sassafras ‘Sunshine Lollipops’ paper pad. I added some Regal rose cardstock and stitched around it with my sewing machine. The image is a Gillian Roberts stamp from Stampavie…cute huh? I coloured her with my Copic markers. The greeting is from one of my PTI stamp sets. The ribbon is Pumpkin pie from Stampin’Up and the button was a random in my collection.

So there you are peeps, 3 more creations, I hope you have enjoyed. Stay tuned as there is more to come tomorrow!

Have a goodie!

Some stamping at last…..

Published by Makeesha under Cards

Hey there people,

Well I don’t want to shock the pants of you, but I might just do that! I have actually sat down and stamped and stamped I did…yup 10 cards in total! Even I am shocked! I really thought that I had lost the whole ability to  stamp and many a time i contemplated giving all my gear away as it sadly collected dust in my stamp room. Well I really didn’t know where to start, and always sat at my desk in a daze, and was often thinking, ” how did i stamp before, as this is way too hard!”

A big thanks to all those challenge sites out there, for getting this stamper back in the saddle! I printed off quite a few over the weekend and slowly did the first…..yep very slowly, then as I went along that right side of my brain kicked in and whammo, I picked up a Copic marker, and felt like I had just come home again :) Big smiles, and a BIG relief to know that I still have some creative ability left with the preganancy brain and all.

So what to show you first? Well I can’t just wham them all in front of you, I have to share them over several days, because when it comes to this blog it is either feast of famine! LOL! So anyway over the coming week I will share with you what I have made, and fingers crossed I keep this crafting ball in the air… I certainly hope so!

Okay peeps, I will start with sharing this weeks Colour “Q” challenge creation. At first I wasn’t too sure about these colours, but once I started putting them together, i LOVED them. I have a thing about not too many colours all at once, 3 is usually my limit, but these colours work fabulously together! They were, Baja, Not quite navy, Tangerine, Cherry cobbler, and white (5) colours in total! I have also used the Sketches for you to try sketch from Jen DelMuro for this creation.

Here is what I came up with….

I made this for a friends little boy who turns 6 this week. Happy Birthday Ethan! Love that wee lil robot which is a Stampingbella stamp. I have used all SU cardstock with some Cosmic Cricket DSP and coloured the robot with my Copic markers. The greeting is the ‘Say it with style’ stamp set from PTI that i have had for like forever and never inked up yet.

Okay next stamping goodness for you is a ‘Colour Throwdown’ creation. Again I wasn’t too sure about these colours, but a challenge isn’t a challenge until you work with it right? So here is what I came up with for the colours, light green, ballet blue, and dark green…….wat ya think?

Miss you! Oh I could send this card to a bevy of people right now! I have used SU Marina mist cardstock for the blue, and New leaf and Ripe avocado cardstocks from PTI. The stamp (isn’t it delicious?) is from PTI as well and is called In bloom which I coloured up with my Copic markers. The ribbon is also New leaf from PTI which I dressed up with a blue button. The greeting is from the Mega mixed messages set from PTI…

Then last but not least another creation, this time for the My Favorite Things Wednesday sketch challenge. Hubby loved this one the most out of the ten, so maybe that is saying something?? who knows…

Another missing you card….. I tell ya again, i could send this to quite a few people. I have been SOOOO very homesick of late. Certainly not a nice feeling, and it is taking all my will power each day not to just go and buy a ticket and board that plane and head for home. Having always been surrounded by my loved ones, it has been quite an adjustment picking up and moving to the other side of the country. Whilst it has been so great in so many ways it is often the people around you that make you who you are and I am MISSING MY PEOPLE! Anyway sorry to be all blah on you, but if any of you out there, have been through this and have any kind words of wisdom for me, please share!

Okay onto card deets. I have used some groovy new dsp I picked up in the US last year that hasn’t been loved yet. It is called ‘Claire’ by S.E.I. It has this beautiful copper foil through it. Anyway I have used the My Favorite Things, Pure innocence stamp and coloured it with my Copic markers. The greeting is from the same stamp set called ‘My balloon’. Love these gorgeous little girls and they are so easy to colour too.

So there you go…..I hope you enjoyed that stamping eye candy and I promise to be back tomorrow with some more for you all….

Have a wonderful day and thanks for stopping by!

MWAH!

Inkspirations Colour Challenge #58…..

Published by Makeesha under Cards, Colour Challenges

Hello lovelies,

How was your week? I have had a very interesting week here in Cairns. It was the Orientation week for University this week. I got to meet my lecturers and find my way around the campus and meet some lovely people too. I am just hoping to do two units, one in Communication for Nursing and the other is Physiology and Anatomy, which is the one I REALLY love. All that intricate stuff about the body fascinates me so I have already been pouring over the study texts…LOL! I will just see how I go this semester being so pregnant and all. I feel so good when I am using my brain, and I love to study so something I am really looking forward to.

Okay onto stamping! We have a great colour combo for you all this week…..again masculine or feminine! I used my favourite PTI stamp set of all time and it felt good to actually make a card!

Here are the colours for you….

Here is my coloured inspired creation….

I think these colours look lovely together. If you don’t have the exact SU colours, not to worry, just use something that is similar! Be sure to pop past the Inkspirations Challenges Website to see all the fabulous creations and the DT line up!

Have a wonderful weekend peeps!
