Inkspirations Colour Challenge #42…
Hey peoples,
I hope you have all had a great week! My week once again has been pretty eventful…. This week Elijah had surgery to have his adenoids out and some corrective surgery on his nose. So I am hoping that is the very last of surgeries for this family for some time to come! Last night was the first full night sleep I have had in 9 days which was so nice! He is doing pretty well though and even Janaya has picked up. She started to eat again yesterday and finally had some colour back in here cheeks again
Also this week I was lucky enough to receive this fun blog award from the fabulous Helen Heil… what a sweetie! For this award I need to share 3 things about myself and then pass it onto 5 other blogs….
Three things about me:
1. I am highly allergic to coffee….(sometimes I wish it was chocolate, it would be better for my waitline!)
2. My middle name is Gale - after my great Grandmother
3. I have a fear of snakes, sharks, and the ocean, but spiders don’t faze me at all
Okay how to narrow this down to only 5 top blogs?! Here goes….
A BIG thank you to Kirsty for hosting last weeks challenge! There were some amazing watercolouring in the challenge entries - well done people!
This week we have a colour combo for you. Now I just know you will look at it and go, “Keesh, what are you thinking??!” But trust me it does work. Also remember you can use say one or two of the colours and then just highlight with some ribbon or something small… Also I have Kiwi kiss on there, as I had these swatches made up ahead of time, before the colours were all gone etc….. So if you don’t have any Kiwi kiss left- no worries, just use Olive, or Simply chartreuse from Papertrey ink etc…
Here is the colour panel for you all:
I have used that new fun stamp set from SU, called Long fellows..I love stamped turtles, they always have cheeky faces. Super simple this week, but sometimes that is so refreshing too!
Here is our fabulous Guest Designer this week, the talented Louise Layton and her gorgeous creation:
Okay so be sure to pop past the DT girls blogs and see what they have made, no doubt it will be inspirational!
If you would like to play along, all you need to do is follow the directions:
1. Make your creation following the challenge ie, sketch, colour, or inspiration image.
2. Load your creation up onto your blog or a public viewing forum like Splitcoast Stampers, with a direct link back to the post on this website, so that others viewing the post will know where the challenge has come from, and it is courtesy to do so.
3. Then come back to this post so that you can add your name and link in the InLinkz below.
You have until the Thursday the 7th October midnight to get your entries linked.
I will be announcing the winner and honourable mention on Friday the 8th October in the afternoon.
I hope you all have a blessed weekend! I will be back tomorrow with some exciting news to share! OH and don’t forget to get your DT applications in asap, it closes on Monday!!!

Keesh,
Are you scheduling week-about surgeries for those kids. Poor you, I hope that will be the end of it and that you can all be happy and healthy now.
Bet its been fab having Lee over to visit, can’t wait til Convention so I can meet her. Think you should come as a guest next year too, was so bummed to miss meeting you.
Cheers, Fi x
This is gorgeous, Keesh! Fabulous use of the colours!!! I hope your kiddoes get well quickly!
Hi Keesh
So glad the kiddies are on the mend….I hope for your sake too it is the last of the surgeries for a while, that’s enough to wear anybody out.
I hope you’re enjoying the holidays with the kids, I love school holidays, I really love not having to be out the door by 8 every morning.
Thanks so much for the blog award, how special….a lovely surprise in the midst of my difficult week.
I love your inspiration card, such a great design and you’re right - the colours do work well together. I’ve been loving all of the work you’ve recently popped on your blog, and am so glad you are finding time to stamp. I love seeing you using so many gorgeous, different products.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend Keesh, hope to chat soon.
Love Lee-Anne

I can’t play this week but I am enjoying seeing all the samples. I love how you used the horizontal stripes to echo your loooong turtle - very clever. Hope you boyo gets better soon - you’ve really had a string of surgeries!
