Greetings from Canada!

Published by Makeesha under Chitchat with Keesh, Family

Hey Peeps!

Oh how I miss you guys! I sat up till 2am on Sunday night/morning, doing a fabulous post full of photos and giving you all the goss of what we have been up to so far on our travels…….I pressed published….It came up with an error…….the post was GONE! I was devastated and rather than spend the next 2 hours re-typing it all, I decided to head to bed as I had to be up in about 4 hours time.

So hence I haven’t been able to be in touch :( We headed off from Vancouver bright and early on Monday morning and have been travelling the past 4 days through the Rocky Mountains. The sights we have seen have been so majestic and beyond what I could imagine! The only thing is that it is totally remote out here……no Wi-Fi to be seen, let alone power at the camping spots! Rod is in his element, and me well to be honest it is definitely stretching myself, being a total mod-con type of gal!

Anyway we have just arrived in Jasper and I have loaded the washing into a Laundromat! Certainly another thing new for me….hehe and then I am now next door at the icecream store paying $2 per 10minutes to use their internet!

So whilst I am desperate to tell all my funny goofy stories about what we have all been up to, I will have to wait until at least Saturday when I will be in Edson visiting my gorgeous DT member Renee and her family! I can’t wait to meet them all. Anyway hopefully I can get a post done then for you all.

I also have to publish my challenge post right now, so whilst it will be up a little early for the Aussie crew, at least it is posted rather than not at all! (That post will follow just after this one)

So anyway my dears, I hope you are all fabulously well, and I can’t wait to hear from you all.

Okay so one very quick photo of us, here in Canada for ya, with a promise of lots more to come!

Here we are in Stanley Park, Vancouver……notice the jackets? Yeah it has been super cold…..maybe worse for us because we come from the Tropics!

Talk soon peeps!

PS, if you have emailed me, I am sorry I haven’t gotten back to you! I promise i will asap!

Hey Chickadee……

Published by Makeesha under Scrapbooking

Chickadee chicken your so fine, you blow my mind………

Does anyone remember that song jingle from some chicken advert in the 80’s??? I know, I know, your wondering if all this fresh Canadian air is doing something to my brain! LOL! no that is not the case, but it is something about that word Chickadee, that makes me always think of that jingle! hehe

Why all the talk of Chickadee? Well because it is on my card I created, along with a gorgeous wee chickadee, if I say so myself!

Here is my wee chickadee for ya’all….(gotta get that Canadian drawl happening….!)

This card I created for a dear friend who’s birthday it is this week. I was so proud of myself that I got it made and into the post before we left home!

I have used the fun stamp set from PTI called Everyday button bits, to create this wee cute chickadee. The base cardstock is Kraft which I layered with Hawaiian shores, and lemon tart cardstock also from PTI. The buttons, ribbon, and greeting are all PTI too…..so much fun!

Hope you all have some special Chickadee’s in your life!

Love to all……

Organic Thanks….

Published by Makeesha under Cards

Hello my wonderful blog readers!

Today I have a card to share with you that is fun and bright. Whilst we are visiting friends on this beautiful land, I had several Thank you cards to make before we left home. This card is just one of those!

I like the vibrancy of the red on this card, and yet whilst very simple, I liked the final outcome……I hope the recipient likes it just as much :)

I don’t often use red, but when I do, I always am chuffed with the brightness it brings. For this card I have used the Organic Outlines stamp set, from Stampin’Up….soooo love this stamp set! I stamped the bold flower image with Versamark, and then embossed it with white embossing powder onto Kraft cardstock. All product from SU, apart from the greeting which is the Signature greetings stamp set from Paper Trey Ink.

Thanks for looking peeps!

Two little gift boxes….

Published by Makeesha under 3-D Items

Hey there,

I hope you are well and enjoying your weekend! I have a wee little post for you today, showing you two little gift boxes I made a few weeks back. They are so super easy and fun to whip up, and I filled mine with Fererro Rocher chocolates to give away.

The template is from PTI, and I have used the Melon mambo and Rich razzleberry cardstock from SU along with some of their matching DSP and ribbons. I used the slot punch to create that slit for the ribbon to tie through :)

Easy peasy lemon squeezy…

Have a goodie!
