A little sketch, and a little colour…..

Published by Makeesha under Cards

Hey all!

Mid week already! My dear little pumpkins went back to school today so that is the end of the School holidays! 3 full weeks of fun and relaxation and special times together. It won’t be long and we will be on holidays again……only 8 weeks today till we head off on our mammoth trip to Canada and the US! It is going to fly by!

So i have been at it again……stamping up a storm. I finally feel like I have my mojo back after the big hiatus from stamping with the big move and all. So what have I been up to…..well, a whole bevy of different things!

Tonight however I am going to show you a quick card I have done using this week’s Just add ink’s colour challenge. The colours were Chocolate chip, Barely banana, and Kiwi kiss.

Here is my creation:

I have used the Embrace life stamp set, which is a long-time fave of mine, even though I haven’t used it for a little while. The flowers I have watercoloured and then dressed up with some glitter and a pearl. The greeting is from SU, and I have also added some Kiwi kiss satin ribbon, along with the leaf die.

Thanks Just add ink for a great challenge!

Next up is a sweet little sketch from the Clean & Simple stamping website. Their objective is to challenge us to do things simply when we create. This is certainly something I need improvement on for sure. I like to add, add, and usually add some more! I had fun giving this one a go.

Here is my simple creation:

aaahhhh, my all time fave colour combo. I have used the cupcakes from Taylored Expressions stamp set called, “For the love of cupcakes” which I coloured with my Copic markers, and dressed up with some glitter. The DSP I have used is called Sweet Always from SU, along with the greeting which is the Sweet little sentiments stamp set also from SU.

Thanks Clear and Simple Stamping for a great challenge!

Ciao x

Scrapped love…

Published by Makeesha under Scrapbooking

Hey peeps,

Happy Monday! Sometimes I love Mondays and sometimes I don’t. I love it when I bounce out of bed, and get all that cleaning, washing, baking, groceries and what not all done in a jiffy, and I hate the Mondays were I am dragging my feet all day, usually because we have had a super busy weekend and I am tired.

Today I am dragging my feet because I was awake all night with a migraine. It has lifted now thanks to some whizz bang medication. Let’s hope it goes for good, cuz i don’t want it back again! Anyway I wanted to take a quick break and share a quick post.

So the other week I snagged a photo of my sister-in-law-to-be, from her Facebook account, of her and Rod’s brother Ivan. I don’t have a nice pic of them, so I have had it developed and scrapped it. This is the couple that we are going to Canada in June/July for their wedding and are in their Bridal party etc…. Ivan & Jolene.

I have kept the page pretty clean and simple as I want the photo to dominate. I used some strips of dsp from Stampin’Up’s Urban garden pack. The journaling is on some cardstock that I have cut out with my nestabilities, and the hearts are from the I Heart hearts stamp set which I dressed with the corduroy button.

I now have it hanging in my craft room, so I can be reminded of them. The kids and us really miss them, and look forward to when they too will move to Cairns next year after some more time in Canada and touring Africa.

Okay better get back to it if I want to get any thing done today! Have a goodie everyone!

Here is the sketch from the lovely, talented Jen:

Here is my wee creation this week:

For this card I have used red cardstock stamped with the Polka dot background stamp. I added some dsp from My mind’s eye, and some kraft cardstock.. The stamp is a brand newie, Turtletot from Stampingbella which I have coloured with my Copic markers. The greeting is from SU, and I have added the buttons, paper piercing, and faux stitching with my white gel pen. It is a simple yet sweet card.

An Organic triple set….

Published by Makeesha under Cards

Hello again,

I hope your weekend is cruising along nicely!

The other day I pulled out my Organic Outlines stamp set. This is one of those sets that when you first see it you think…..”oh i don’t know about that one!!” Well that is what happened to me until I started to see my dear friend Monnie use it all the time. So I caved in and bought it. I haven’t really worked with it all that much though, and I thought it was time to change that!

I made a triple set of cards, that are all different layouts, but using the same colours and embellishments and what not. Here is the sneek peek and each card follows:

First up I have this anniversary card:

I have worked with the new colour from Stapin’Up called Rich Razzleberry along with some Kraft and Old olive.

As you can see I have used the same colours and products, I just have different greetings

Last of all I have a circular image.

The list of products will be below. I hope these have inspired you too. If you ever though that Organic outlines was just ugly seaweed the first time you saw it, well be prepared to be as suprised as I was that they are actually rather funky!

Enjoy your weekend peeps!

Love Keesh

Inkspirations Sketch Challenge #21…..

Hey folks,

Sorry that this post is late. I had a terrible day yesterday, which you just DON”T WANT to ask about! I will share about that another day when I have processed it a little more :) The day I had planned just turned to mush so now I am playing catch up. I am not going to do a winning round up for the last challenge this week. I am sure you still can enjoy visiting everyone’s fabulous blogs and viewing their creations.

So here is the newest sketch for you this week!

Now this card I have made is using a brand new stamp set! It actually was a special gift from a very special lady that i received in the mail this week. Here is what I received from the gorgeous Dawn McVey!!!! It had beautiful Dawn hand stamped original, and her beautiful Delightful Dahlia stamp set. What a sweetie :) I know I am going to really enjoy this stamp, as it kinda reminds me of the BOUF! lol..

Here is my sample for you all:

Such a pretty flower! I have stamped the large flower three times and coloured, cut, and layered them. I have added the glitter and the pearl for extra bling. The greeting is also from Papertrey Ink, the Mega mixed messages set. I have added Chocolate chip satin ribbon, paper piercing, and the Chocolate brads (SU) to dress it up as well.

Here is the inspiration from the Design Team!
