A bevy of sketches…….

Published by Makeesha under Cards, Sketch Challenges

How’s your week going peeps? Hope your having a good one!

Once again the week is zooming by, buy I got some stamping in WOOT WOOT! I had a blast with these creations, and i hope you enjoy perusing them too.

I have worked on 5 different sketch challenges……yup 5 of them! These are the sketches I like to work with each week, but often due to lack of time I don’t quite make it, actually I rarely make all of them! But this week my new schedule is working, and I worked hard to make some precious spare time to stamp.

First off I we have a sketch challenge from Jen Del Muro on her website, I Heart to stamp. I have used the cute turtletots from Stampingbella.

CHEERS!

Next up I worked with Taylor’s Sketch from Taylored Expressions. I have used the Sweet always paper from SU, and the Cupcake stamp from My Favourite things…..

YUM YUM!

Then I made this wee little creation for the Stampingbella Friday Frenzy challenge for this week. I have used a Hugabug stamp from Stampingbella, and the dsp is from My Mind’s eye, called ‘Be loved’, and the greeting is SU.

Next up I made a creation for this weeks Sweet Sunday sketch from Karen Giron. This is my fave out of all the cards i made today. I have used a My Favourite things stamp, along with My Minds eye dsp. I have also paper pieced the stamped image with some of the dsp.

Then last of all a Mojo Monday creation! I haven’t played Mojolicious for oh so long I forget how long it has been. This sketch was a little complicated but in the end I was happy with the rustic result of my card. I have used the Friends 24/7 stamp set from SU and the dsp is also SU.

I have been pretty brief with my product descriptions, so if there is something you are unsure of, please don’t hesitate to email me :)

Hope you likes!

Easter Basket Tutorial…

Published by Makeesha under 3-D Items

Hey peeps,

I hope you have all had a wonderful weekend! We had a busy one as usual. We actually went to a Home show on Saturday which was pretty good. Our house plans are almost complete all ready for approvals. It is all a bit excited, but very nerve wracking at the same time. It is hard to say, “Yep that is just how we like it”! I am worried I am going to forget something, or make a wrong decision, but hopefully we don’t. One thing for sure is, it is definitely going to be an adventure building our very own home!

So I have been seeing some of my Easter baskets pop up on different blogs, which is a bit exciting! I then realised that I didn’t even put it up on here as a post. A few weeks back I wrote a tutorial for Splitcoast Stampers on how to make a cute little Easter Basket. So with Easter upon us, I thought I would share it with you and link you back to the tutorial, if you think it is something you would like to make:

Easter Basket:

You can view the tutorial HERE:

If you have made an Easter Basket, feel free to link your creation in the comments section so everyone can check it out (including me) and then we can also see all the different varieties too!

I hope to stamp tonight, as I have worked hard today….yup all the cleaning, washing, ironing, meal planning, baking, and paying of bills all got completed today, so I can have some me time! woo hoo!

Have a great night and I hope to be back tomorrow to show you what i managed to whip up!

Inkspirations Sketch Challenge #20….

Hey Peeps,

Here goes another sketch for you all! I know you guys love these so here’s hoping you get to play along this week! Also seeing it is Easter next week, how bout some nice Easter creations, or soft pastel colours! I will be rewarding the sweetest creations with a surprise Easter gift, so you will want to play along!!!!

Here is the sketch to work with this week:

This is my sample for this week:

I am really really struggling with taking photos of my creations lately! I don’t have any spot that I can set up that has great light. Also with the rain that is here and all the cloud around the mountains it is rarely bright and sunny. It is sooooo frustrating, so I am sorry the photo isn’t really the best. This card is quite sweet in real life, but I don’t feel as I have captured it all too well :( Ah well, I will just have to practice and work out the best lighting in this house somehow.

Now be sure to check out the Design Teams fabulous creations and give them lots of comment love too!

Want to play along? - here are some guidelines.

If you would like to play along, all you need to do is follow the directions:

1. Make your creation following the challenge ie, sketch, colour, or inspiration image.

2. Load your creation up onto your blog or a public viewing forum like Splitcoast Stampers, with a direct link back to the post on this website, so that others viewing the post will know where the challenge has come from, and it is courtesy to do so.

3. Then come back to this post so that you can add your name and link in the Mr. Linky!

You have until the Thursday the 1st April midnight to get your entries linked.

I will be announcing the winner and honourable mention on Friday the 2nd April in the afternoon.

Inkspirations Inspiration Challenge #19 WINNER!…..

Hey again,

I hope you have all had a fabulous week! It is absolutely pouring here at the moment and hasn’t stopped in the past 24 hours……..I am starting to understand what they call the wet season in Tropical Queensland. As I drove the kids to school this morning, the bike path the i rode on only 24 hours ago is now 1/2 metre deep with water. Then the kids school oval, was turned into a lake and completely covered with water. The kids had a School Fun Run booked for today, but of course it was cancelled till next week. We have had lover 140ml of water in the past day. Earlier this week Perth had 40ml in 8 hours and there was complete chaos, and hospitals closed down etc…… Obviously Queensland is used to the rain and flooding etc…. because 140ml is a LOT of water!

So I thoroughly enjoyed looking at everyone’s creations this week, and wow you have all done so well with the challenges! I find it interesting that the Inspiration challenges are the ones that are least played, and yet when you guys play out comes your best work! So give them a go guys, they really aren’t that scary! LOL!

Anyway I better announce that winner and honourable mention hey. This week I have picked a gorgeous creation, by my very talented stamper, and who actually happens to be my bestie too! Lee Pelosi has only been playing for a wee while and each week I am blown away by her beautiful creations. I am sure you will agree that this card is a real stunner!

Then for this weeks honourable mention I chose another beauty by Bec Gomez. I loved the combination of panels, hodgepodge, and ribbon and how the flowers sit too. Just beautiful Bec!

Of course it is so hard to pick each week! I loved them all, but these two are the ones that made my jaw drop the second I saw them pop up on my puter screen. Well done ladies.

Stick around and view the Slide show, and see everyone’s amazing creations!

RIghty-o I will be back in a sec with some exciting news for you all…

Love Keesh
