A triple heart….

Published by Makeesha under Scrapbooking

Hey again,

Well my second attempt stamping went a whole lot better than my first! Maybe because I was doing similar things was good, and made it a whole lot easier to accomplish :)

Here is a sneek at the triple heart cards I created:

I have made three different cards using the same materials, colours and stamps. They look rather cute when you have them all up against each other:

Here they are individually:

First an upright card….

Followed by a rectangle….

Then lastly a square….

The list of all the products I have used will be listed below. I like how these simple designs turned out, and rather easy to whip up a few at a time!

I am having trouble with photos at the moment! They are either too large and go over the perimeters on the text section, or if I size them to medium they come out small like this….hmm going to have to do some more research on that one!

Take care! I am off to actually do some stamping before I head to a piano lesson…….something I have wanted to pick up again for a long time! I started to learn a few years back and LOVED it. With having Janaya it just got all too hard, but now we have moved and she is grown, we bought a new piano and Tiarne is learning along with me, so that is nice! Something we can share together.

Have a goodie…

Love Keesh

off to the land of mountains and maple syrup…..

Published by Makeesha under Chitchat with Keesh, Family

Do you recognize this flag? This is where we are all off to come 16th June for 5 1/2 weeks!!!

Rod’s brother Ivan and his Canadian fiance Jolene are getting married in July in the town of Winnipeg (right smack bang in the middle of the prairies) and we are going to be there! Actually half of us are in the bridal party so we better be there hey :) Rod is best man, I am a bridesmaid, and Janaya is a flower girl……exciting huh?

It has taken so much work to get all our flights planned and booked,(but even more scary paying for them….yikes!!!!), and we have a monster trip planned! First off we land in Vancouver which we will stay for a few days, then visit friends in the Fraser valley. Then we pick up a motor home which will then become our abode for the next 4.5 weeks! We hope to do the Rockies, Jasper, Banff, Calgary, and then up to Edmonton, through Saskatoon, and then onto Winnipeg.

After all the wedding festivities, we hope to high tail it to Toronto, and then visit Niagra falls, and head south to Baltimore, Maryland USA to visit Kate (my brother’s fiance) and spend some time with her and her family. Then last of all we will travel up to New York for a few days, and then fly home.

Travelling with 4 young kids is going to be quite an adventure I am sure!!! No doubt it will have it’s trying times, like on the 16 hour flight home!!! But with the hard times there is going to be so many exciting times too.

So you gorgeous Canadians out there, please let me know what you think is your top picks to visit. We are driving pretty much straight across the country so if you have any tips I would really appreciate to hear them!! Also any travelling tips for taking kids along, that doesn’t always involve drugging them with sedatives??? LOL!

I have all these stampers I want to visit, and of course the Stampingbella store in Toronto, I just have to get Rod to come to the party, as he assures me we are not on a stamping adventure holiday! It is going to be so great to meet the Canadian Design team girls, and hopefully some in the US too!

I am sure the trip will be here before we know it, so it definitely will be fun planning all our adventures, and I need to keep reminding myself that I don’t need more stamps, and have to save my $$$ for the trip :) Then I can buy it all over there and bring it home with me! :)

Anyway I am super excited to share with you our fun news, and look forward to hearing all your travelling do’s and dont’s!

Oh and I have stamping to share too, so be back in a mo with that for you too!

Have a fabulous weekend peeps,

Love Keesh

Inkspirations Inspiration Challenge # 18….

YAY!

I have this computer working,….I tell ya I am doing a very big happy dance in my swivel chair, which actually does amazing slides across the tiled floor as I have some great tunes from Florence and the machine (a band) cranking on my iPod!!!! Sooooo very excited that I have this blogging all sorted now…..hope you can visualize it :)

Anyhooooo, even though most of you have seen this post on the wonderful (and I really mean WONDERFUL, DT crew’s blogs this past week) Heck you prolly had your creations made days ago and have been waiting (very patiently) for me to post the Mr Linky! If you are, well your wait is over cuz here it is for ya!

Oh and I have a wee little creation to share too! I have to tell ya though, my stamping was soooooo rusty after not stamping for, oh about 6 weeks! I made SO many mistakes on this card it was not funny! Good thing you can pretty much hide all sorts of boo-boo’s when it comes to stamping!! Not all, but most. Anyhoo, here is the said card full of boo boo’s.

I don’t know if you can spot them, but I sure can! LOL! This is a gorgeous Magnolia stamp that I coloured in with my Copic markers. I used some Basic grey dsp, and the ribbon and greeting along with button are all from Stampin’Up.

I took my inspiration from the following image, which you need to use as your inspiration piece for the challenge:

Gorgeous girly bedroom….

So for those of you who haven’t seen the DT’s creations yet, you can view them all here along with the instructions on how to play along!

1. Make your creation following the challenge ie, sketch, colour, or inspiration image.

2. Load your creation up onto your blog or a public viewing forum like Splitcoast Stampers, with a direct link back to the post on this website, so that others viewing the post will know where the challenge has come from, and it is courtesy to do so.

3. Then come back to this post so that you can add your name and link in the Mr. Linky!

You have until the Thursday the 4th March midnight to get your entries linked.

Inkspirations Colour Challenge #18 WINNER!!!!

Published by Makeesha under Cards, Colour Challenges

Hey all,

Well at last I have this post up for you! I tell ya I never knew being an Apple Mac virgin would be so hard, but I am slowly getting there……slowly being the operative word! A very BIG thanks to my gorgeous sister in law Claire who has happily taken my phone calls of distress and walked me through all the steps. It all seems quite easy now, and I actually have managed to learn quite a few commands. So fingers crossed that is an end to the stress, and I can look forward to getting right in there from now on!

Thanks again for your patience…..(starting to feel like a stuck record now!) but i do truly appreciate it! Hopefully now that my craft room is set up, and I have this computer reasonably sorted, I can be right back in there with bells on! Phew!

Okay so I have had a lovely look-see at all your colour creations from the other week, and wow you guys really did that colour challenge justice…..love, love, LOVED your creations!!!

So for this weeks Inkspiration winner I chose this adorable card by Natasha Murray! I love this cute little critter that she created with some punches and think it is the perfect little guys card! Fabulous creation Natasha!!!

Then this weeks honourable mention goes to Fiona Harrison for this beautiful creation. I love how Fiona has added the lacy trim to the frame of the stamped image, and the wee little paperclip and ribbon for embellishment!

Of course there was lots of other fabulous creations, so be sure to check them out on the slide show. There were a couple of links that just didn’t work so if you don’t see your creation there, be sure to check you links after you have uploaded them :)

Thanks again to everyone who played along, and I look forward to seeing you newest creations!

AAARRRGGGHHHH!!!!

Published by Makeesha under Chitchat with Keesh

Oh boy I am certainly pushing the bounds of friendship right now aren’t I!!!!

I have had nothing but trouble with the new computer today! On Friday my old laptop was taken into the Apple store to have all my data transferred over to my new MacBook, but they couldn’t get it done in a day as there was so much info to be transferred!!! Much to my dismay I had to wait till Monday to pick it up.

Today I have done that, only to now have lost all my emails that have been in my inbox awaiting replies, and none of my photos are ordered, and well I can’t seem to get anything sorted. I am just about ripping my hair out, no actually I am ripping my hair out!!!! I am heading right back to that store first thing tomorrow, so that I can get them to fix it, or show me the right direction! I tell ya it all looks so easy in the store when they are showing you all the swanky things it can do!

So anyway please be patient with me, and hopefully I will have this computer all sorted by tomorrow~! Seeing as I am having such difficulty I am going to extend this weeks challenge by a week, so you can take your time playing along, and then of course can link your creation as soon as I can get that post up for you all!

Right I am off to have a beer, and talk myself down off the ledge!

Talk soon, and I love ya for being patient…. *wink*

Love Keesh
