Inkspirations Sketch Challenge #17…..
Hi again!
Well it is that time of the week again when we have the new Challenge for the week! This challenge will be rounding off the Challenges for 2009! I really am amazed at how fast this year has gone, but I am even more amazed at how much peoples stamping skills have increased in a year! Viewing your creations each week provides so much inspiration not only for me, but for so many others as well! Of course wehace the introduction of the Design Team this year, and I think it has been a most fabulous addition, having them inspire us each week! SO a very BIG thank you to them as well
So for the very LAST challenge for 2009, we have a sketch, which is actually the most popular of all the challenges. I am hoping that you will be able to squeeze this one in sometime during this busy week ahead! Christmas functions, shopping, end of school events, certainly makes for a busy week, but hey, remember stamping is a good stress reliever too!
Here is the sketch to work with:
This week I have made two samples for the challenge, one rectangle and one square..
Here they are:
Here’s a masculine card for you! I have used Baja breeze for the base which I stamped with the scratched background stamp from Stampin’Up with Chocolate chip ink. The DSP is from the Good morning sunshine DSP pack. I stamped the large shell from the Seaside stamp set, from Stampin’Up onto watercolour paper with Stazon ink, and then watercoloured with my stamp pads, and aquapainters. The greeting is from the Inspired by nature stamp set, and the ribbon is Kraft taffeta, both from Stampin’Up.
Then here is my square card:
Finally got to use my cute Kangaroo again! This card is using a Chocolate chip base, and the Bella rose DSP from Stampin’Up. I have stamped the Kanga, from the Build a roo stamp set, and coloured it with my Copic markers. The greeting is from the Sweet little sentiments stamp set (hostess set) and then I have embellished with Riding hood red taffeta ribbon, and ruby red brads, with some paper piercing.
Be sure to go and check out the Design Team members creations and give them some comment love!

Want to play along? - here are some guidelines.
If you would like to play along, all you need to do is follow the directions:
1. Make your creation following the challenge ie, sketch, colour, or inspiration image.
2. Load your creation up onto your blog or a public viewing forum like Splitcoast Stampers, with a direct link back to the post on this website, so that others viewing the post will know where the challenge has come from, and it is courtesy to do so.
3. Then come back to this post so that you can add your name and link in the Mr. Linky!
You have until the Thursday the 17th December midnight to get your entries linked.
I will be announcing the winner and honourable mention on Friday the 18th December in the afternoon.
I hope you have lots of fun with this one, and I look forward to seeing your creations!!!

Gorgeous Keesh! Well I will say we didn’t use the same stamp set , but I did two cards as well! LOL! Love them both by the way!

Awesome cards and FUN sketch!! I love that SU seaside set and love seeing cards made with those *sketchy* images. The kangaroo card is so fun…LOVE that Bella Rose paper!
Fabulous masculine card! I’m jealous that you have some of that dsp! LOL! I LOVED that pack!!! I used it for everything! haha!
Your second card is so cute! WONDERFUL colouring!
Thanks for inviting me to play along with you and the girls each week! I look forward to the new challenges in 2010!!!
Your mojo is back full force! Two challenge cards this week - you’re on fire! They are both super cute, and show really well how one sketch can look totally different depending on which direction you’re taking. Love the sentiment you paired with the kangaroo, it’s perfect!
I was totally psyched after our phone call as well. I came in the office the next day and was like, “You’ll never guess where I received a call from yesterday…” Totally surreal! You’re such a sweetheart, I really enjoyed our chat!
I hope you’re enjoying some sunny weather. Winter came down on us Wednesday with the mother of all snowstorms…. Winter’s going to be fun! *insert sarcastic tone here* That’s okay - it’ll just make me enjoy the Phoenix Leadership that much more!!
Have a lovely weekend!

My first ever card challenge. I only recently got into the Stampin’ Up phenomenon so my collection is rather limited at this stage. I apologise for not linking my card back to the site and for not leaving comments - I’m unsure on how to do this so any help to fix it would be appreciated. I love looking at the cards on this site!

Hmmm
They moved my card to:
