Inkspirations Colour Challenge # 15…..
Hey Peeps,
Challenge time again! YAY! Like the title mentions there is a colour challenge this week. It is time to get down and rustic with this weeks colours!
I have made a card, which is one of those cards you really never want to make, a sympathy card ![]()
I had a very sad phone call on Wednesday from my dear friend Melanie. Mel and I grew up living next door to each other for 15 years before we both got married. Mels brother who is about to turn 24 died in his sleep on Tuesday night. It is sooooo tragic. At this stage they don’t know the cause of death and are awaiting results etc….. It is so sad to lose a loved one, especially when they are so young. Having grown up with Mark, it feels terrible to see him go. Please pray for Mel, and her family as they are going through a really hard time.
Anyway I have used this weeks colour combo to make the sympathy card that i needed. Here are your colours:
Here is my creation:
Now I also have some news about the Design Team. Sadly Amy Fleming has stepped down from the DT. Amy has been an amazing member and has dazzled us each week with her beautiful creations. Amy however has decided to resign from Stampin’Up, and shut her blog. Life had guided her to put her time and energy into different things for now. She will be sadly missed.
Because I have been so busy this week, I haven’t even thought of a replacement, nor a Guest Designer for the month, but I promise to get that sorted by next week friday.
Be sure to go and check out the Design Team members creations and give them some comment love!
Want to play along? - here are some guidelines.
If you would like to play along, all you need to do is follow the directions:
1. Make your creation following the challenge ie, sketch, colour, or inspiration image.
2. Load your creation up onto your blog or a public viewing forum like Splitcoast Stampers, with a direct link back to the post on this website, so that others viewing the post will know where the challenge has come from, and it is courtesy to do so.
3. Then come back to this post so that you can add your name and link in the Mr. Linky!
You have until the Thursday the 12th November midnight to get your entries linked.
I will be announcing the winner and honourable mention on Friday the 13th November in the afternoon.
Have fun with this one, and I can’t wait to see what you all come up with!

Keesh,
I am very sorry to hear about Mark. Will lift Mel & her family up in prayer. It is even harder when it is someone young and their death so sudden & unexpected. I’m sure the love of friends will get them through. Your card will be appreciated I’m sure.

What a shock to lose someone in his sleep at 24!! Gosh… Your friend must be very upset by this news. I’m sure the thought you put in the card will warm her heart.
The card turned out just perfect. Sympathy cards are hard to do, but you hit just the right note and the colors were perfect.

This is a very lovely card but such a sad reason to make it. Amidst all of this, a big thankyou for providing the challenges each week. I got to ink up two stamps I hadn’t used and make my hubby a card for our upcoming wedding anniversary.
Hugs to you all at this sad time Keesh.
