Inkspirations Colour Challenge #16…..

Hey there……

Now it is time for some fun bright summery colours……well it is summer here in the land Down Under right? Strangely enough though, I am actually wearing a jacket, and long pants today! Yet two days ago, it was over 35 degrees! The weather at the moment really has no idea what it wants to do :)

Anyway this week, we do have some fun summery colours, and whilst it is a bit “out there”, the colours look really good together! So here is you colour palette for this challenge…..

Inkspirations Sketch Challenge #16…WINNER!

Hey there!

How are you all? Friday already…….and only 4 weeks today till Christmas too! Not long at all :) I really have no idea where this year has gone, but it certainly has zipped by very fast!

I have had a blast just now going through all the Challenge entries for this week, and wow you guys really had fun with this one! There are so many fun, and cute creations!

I am sure you will agree with me that this creation is a sure winner! It is sooooo darn cute, and really really clever too. It is made by the talented Bronwyn Eastley, and I love all the finishing touches Bronwyn has made on her card.

Then for this weeks honourable mention, I really loved this creation by Carole’Anne. These snowmen are so cute, and look fabulous paper pieced. And all that bling looks wonderful too!

Be sure to see all the other fabulous creations in the Slide show! Thanks again everyone for playing along, your creations were delightful and I hope you are inspired by the other creations that were made too!

3 Sketch Challenges…..

Published by Makeesha under Cards, Sketch Challenges

Hey everyone!

What a week it has been. I know I keep hoping for things to slow down and little, but they just seem to be going ahead will full force! My poor brain is in overdrive, and well it is driving me a little crazy. It is a good thing that I am going off for a little get away tomorrow for one night…..Yep, I am off to visit Chantelle, who lives 2.5 hours away. Also coming along is my dear friend Renae, who also happens to be Chantelle’s sister-in-law, so we are all looking forward to some fun girly time together…… Not sure what we will get up to, but I am sure it will involve some form of indulgence! :) Can’t wait!

So this week, I managed to play along with a couple of sketch challenges. I did find all three of these sketches challenging for different reasons, so I am not 100% of the results, but I thought I would share them anyway!

First off I worked on Beate’s sketch Challenge from last weekend. It was a real different one this week, and I was at first lost for what I was going to use…….then I finally managed to decide on Holiday line-up.

Then next sketch I worked on was this weeks Mojo Monday! I tell ya, i haven’t done one of these for a couple of months! I love the Mojo sketches, so it was great to play along again for a change. For this card I have used the Bella Bleau DSP, and the Inspired by Nature stamp set that I have embossed with white embossing powder. The greeting is from the Friendly words jumbo roller from Stampin’Up.

Then last of all I worked on the Sketch Challenge from Stampingbella, with my brand new Prismacolour premiere pencils! Emily has some of the best artists in her Design team, and Paula, and Linda are the most amazing artist with these pencils. SO anyway it certainly was interesting and I am not too sure of them yet….they jury is still out on that one. I do LURVE to colour, so I thought I would try myself some of these pencils, however I think they are going to take some time to get the real hang of them! LOL!……what do you think?

So there was some sketchy fun for you! I would love to know what you think! Okay I better head to bed, if I am going to have a happy face for Chantelle tomorrow! Be back soon!

Ciao!

a little bit of this……and that!

Published by Makeesha under Cards

Hey everyone,

I hope you have had a great weekend and start to the new week! It surely has just flown by, and I know it will be the weekend before we know it! There is so many activities going on at the moment, with it being the end of the school year for the kids. Which is a good reminder that I better get onto those Teacher gifts!

On Saturday afternoon I had the opportunity to just sit down and stamp! Oh it was such a fabulous feeling, as I haven’t had that opportunity for some weeks. I just sat down and made whatever I felt like and I had a blast. Of course the next step of photographing them, editing, adding watermarks, and typing up a post has taken 3 days to do! It is amazing how you have the intention each day, but time is like water running through your hands, and you just don’t quite get there!

So anyway, there is a little bit of this and that, first I made a Christmas card…….Not my favourite type of card (as you know) but still it was nice to get out the glitter and ribbon and make this one….

For this creation I have used the Ski slope designer paper from Stampin’Up, and the Season of Joy, and Occasional greetings stamp set, with ribbon and glitter, and some rhinestone brads.

Then coloured up a new Stampingbella stamp that I got in the post the other week, and have been dying to colour in! I have used fun bright colours for this one too!

I have used my Copic markers to colour in the V-Dub, and then the greeting stamp is from Paper trey ink. The ribbon is white taffeta ribbon that I coloured with my Copic markers as well, and I have used the gel circle stickers from the Build a brad kit to go over the headlights to make them look a little real :)

Then last of all I actually stamped a card using Taylored Expressions Sketch Challenge for this week, and also using their stamps as well! I just got these in the post too the other week, and I have to tell you they are of really good quality, and lovely to stamp with!

I have used one of the greetings in the stamp set to stamp over the Whisper white cardstock and great a background. The stamped image I have coloured in with my Copic markers, and then cut out with my nestabilities die cutters. The ribbon, cardstock and DSP are all from Stampin’Up.

So there you have my this and that stamped creations. I am so hoping to get back to my desk this week for some more stamping time!

Have a great night everyone!
