Phone woes…..

Published by Makeesha under Chitchat with Keesh

Hey everyone!

I hope you are having a great week! I am apart from more drama with our phone line! It has crashed again and we are patiently awaiting the Phone company to come out and fix it! I have snuck over to the neighbours to quickly let you all know!

Hubby and I are going away for two days as of tomorrow and will be back on Saturday, so my plans of pre-setting the new challenge post to appear on Friday afternoon can’t happen now that I have no phone connection.

The DT however will still upload their creations so feel free to visit their blogs, to get the new challenge, so you can work with it.

I will be back as soon as I can, and thanks for your patience!

Have a great rest of the week!

The details for this card are at the bottom of the post :)

Okay so who is ready to have fun with this one? Here are all the deets for you!

Want to play along? - here are some guidelines.

If you would like to play along, all you need to do is follow the directions:

1. Make your creation following the challenge ie, sketch, colour, or inspiration image.

2. Load your creation up onto your blog or a public viewing forum like Splitcoast Stampers, with a direct link back to the post on this website, so that others viewing the post will know where the challenge has come from, and it is courtesy to do so.

You have until the Thursday the 29th October midnight to get your entries linked.

 Hey everyone!

Oh La La, there are some beautiful and stunning not to mention pretty creations this week with these colours! Just gorgeous!

Now did you see this card from the very talented Renee Van Stralen who is one of the Inkspirations Design Team? I just about fell off my chair and my jaw dropped when I saw this creation. You may have seen it already, but I really wanted to show you how beautiful it is!!!

Just Beautiful!

Okay so now onto the winning picks for this week! As usual it was a hard choice, but I really loved this creation by Jodene! I wouldn’t think to use these colours for Christmas, but wow it looks so fabulous with the snowflakes! Fabulous creation Jodene!!!

Then for this weeks Honourable Mention is a creation by Rachel Jackson. I love this layout from Karen Giron and how Rachel has used the butterflies to give a 3-D effect…. so cute!

Be sure to see all the beautiful creations in the Slide show! Thanks again to everyone who played along and I will be back with the new challenge in just a mo….

Dreaming of HOLIDAYS!…….

Published by Makeesha under Cards

Hey there!

I hope you are all having a wonderful week. I know I say it each Friday when I upload the new challenges…..is it really Friday already? I am saying it today…..is it Thursday already! I truly can’t believe that the kids have done two weeks of school already! That is 2 down and 8 to go till they are finished their school year! Amazing! So much happens at that time of year, and well with the end of school, Christmas, School holidays…..not to mention it being summer too! Such a beautiful time of year.

Myself and Elijah have really been suffering with Hayfever this past 10 days. The medication just isn’t cutting it either. We are both walking around rubbing our noses, with puffy, blotchy red eyes and sneezes galore. It is just one of the bad sides of Spring and living in a Rural area with lots of trees, and native plants does not help one little bit!

Anyway I do have a wee little creation for you. I made this one on Sunday night, and whilst I would have loved to be stamping these past few days, I have been very busy on a totally different project which I can’t share with you just yet!

So onto this creation. It actually is last weeks colour AND sketch challenge from Splitcoast stampers. I had fun putting it together, and it really makes me think of the fun days ahead:

Don’t those cocktail glasses remind you of Hawaii! They do to me, although I think I drank more ‘BIG GULPS’ of Diet Coke than cocktails in Hawaii, when i went for my Honeymoon…..oh say 11 years ago! LOL!

Okay so the colour combination was Chocolate chip, Apricot appeal, Bermuda bay(tempting turquoise) and whisper white. At first I thought, you have got to be kidding me, that is a weird combination, but boy oh boy was I surprised! I kinda like how they look together!

I have also used the Cheers to you stamp set from Stampin’Up, as well as my crystal effects to make them look glossy. I have coloured them with my Stampin’ write markers as well. Adding some wide Chocolate ribbon, and the greeting at the top along with some paper piercing, and the card was done.

Have a great night / day and I look forward to being back tomorrow with the new Challenge and winners!

A little bit of Creative Humour…..

Published by Makeesha under Cards

Hey everyone!

I hope all is well with you all! Life is still good here. I have been having some fun stamping time, and by fun, i also mean funny :)

My Favorite things has a competition going at the moment called, “So you think you can stamp” which is based of different forms of dancing. The first week it was Swing and this past week it was Disco / Retro. Now where does a girl start with that? I thought I would run with old fashioned retro, and well here is the creation I came up with:

Do you like my Retro wall paper in the background? LOL! For this creation I have used the MFT stamp called Call me. I have pretty much paper pieced the whole picture apart from the girls shirt, and the telephone which I coloured with my Copic markers. I have used Basic black cardstock with Kiwi kiss DSP, and Ochid oppulance and Baja breeze cardstock as well. I have embellished with a little library clip and black gingham ribbon.

Oh to be able to get away with a purple shirt and green houndstooth pants again and not to mention an afro too!

The next creation I made was using Stampin’Up’s Holiday line-up stamp set. I have wanted (needed) this stamp set for a little while now, and with the festive season just around the corner, I thought it was time I made this little stamp set a home amongst the others I have :)

So here is the cute Reindeers in that stamp set:

Aren’t they adorable!!!

I have used the Real red cardstock along with Baja blue and some Ski slope DSP from Stampin’Up. I have coloured my reindeers in with my Copic markers, and then added some striped red ribbon and the greeting is from the Short and Sweet stamp set, which I have punched out with my oval punches. I added the paper piercing and rhinestone brads for embellishments.

I hope you have a little smile appear when you view these cards! I certainly have had fun making them!

Have a great night!

Love Keesh
