New Inkspirations Design Team members…..

Published by Makeesha under Inkspirations Design Team

 Hey everyone,

It feels so great and exciting to be able to share with you the new Design Team members…yes you read members! I tried to pick just one, to replace the gorgeous Karen, but that is just too hard to do! LOL! So we have two new members, and I just know you will LOVE their work, and contribution to the Design Team.

First off we have the very talented and gorgeous Chantelle Huizenga. I know many of you have seen Chantelle work and amazing Scrapbooking pages, on her website HERE,  so it is no suprise she is on the team! Here is her photo and bio:

My name is Chantelle and I’m a SAHM to four beautiful boys.  I have a wonderful husband who supports me in everything I do.  We live in Busselton, a beautiful seaside town, in the picturesque South West of Western Australia.  I LOVE all things to do with paper craft, especially scrapbooking and stamping.  I joined the Stampin’Up group, nearly three years ago, and enjoy their products very much. I’ve also met some wonderful friends thru Stampin’Up which has made the journey so much fun. Thru my craft, I enjoy sharing the many wonderful things you can create with Stampin’Up; cards, scrapbooking and 3D items.  Photography is another hobby I really love and share thru my scrapbooking and blog.
I’m so excited to be a part of Makeesha’s design team and look forward to inspiring you all and also viewing all the fabulous creations out there.  I’m always amazed by the many talented people, so feel greatly honoured to be here.

The next new Design Team member is the sweet Sarah-Jane Kale. Sarah LOVEs to play with challenges, and her work is just beautiful! You can see all her gorgeous creations on her blog Janeybell. Here is Sarah-Jane’s photo and Bio:

My name is Sarah-Jane Kale’. I have been married to my wonderful husband for 7yrs and we have two BEAUTIFUL daughters, Jorja (2) and Ella 10mths. I have been stamping for about 3 years now and love sitting down to create something and also share this wonderful hobby of mine with others. Seeing peoples faces light up when they realise that they CAN do this just makes my day.

I hope that I can help inspire people as much as becoming a SU! demo and meeting such an amazing and wonderfully talented group of ladies has inspired me.

So there you have the two new additions to the DT! I can’t wait to see what they come up with each week. Please help me to welcome them to the team but visting their blogs and giving them some comment love!

Now who is ready for a new challenge?…….I certainly am!

A stamp class….

Published by Makeesha under Cards

Hi all!

I am amazed that it is Thursday already! Is your week going as fast as mine? It really is going to be Christmas before we know it! Whilst that is a bit scary, i think the warmer weather will definitely wonderful. By the end of August, we are all starting to look for some sunshine to brighten our mood.

So I am sure you are wanting to know how I went at the Orthopedic Surgeon on Tuesday. Good news, I don’t need surgery, which I am sooooo relieved about! Apparently most ligaments in your ankle will heal on their own, even if they are ripped off the bone (only 5% don’t) and for the fractures, I have been fitted with a knee high “moon boot” which is just like the one Bella wears at the end of the movie Twilight (for all you twilight fans! LOL!) It is pretty uncomfortable and has been hurting the past 2 days because it is forcing my foot into a 90 degree angle which feels very uncomfortable. So I have to lug the boot around for 6 weeks, and start having Physio in 4 weeks time when it isn’t so tender to touch etc…. I apparently need lots of patience, as these types of injuries  usually take about 12 weeks to heal the doc tells me. So easy for him to say, not easy to do I am afraid. I can however go back to the gym next week and start doing upper body etc… so I don’t lose all my fitness, which I am really happy about. I feel myself getting irritable because I can burn off any energy. I will have to get Rod to take a photo of me with my sexy boot, climbing the stairs on my hands and knees to my craft room ~ Now that will be entertaining viewing…. LOL!

Earlier in the year the School the kids attend had a fun day, which included an auction to raise funds for the school. I donated a stamping class for 6 people. We finally set a date for the event, and the purchaser (Joyce :) ) requested the Embrace life stamp set with the Urban Garden DSP. SO I had fun putting together 4 creations to suit the request.

On the cards I made I have used the Colour combo, Basic grey, Baja breeze, Kraft, and Kiwi kiss with a little whisper white.

This card I have also used the Sanded background and paper pieced the flowers onto some Baja DSP.

The base card here is Kraft, and I have coloured the stems with a blender pen and the ink pads.

For this card I have used the DSP, and then watercoloured the flower image with watercolour paper.

Then again I have used the Sanded background stamp, and coloured the stem with a blender and Kiwi kiss ink pad and some paper piercing.

The ladies loved these creations and we had a lovely night stamping and chatting, which is the best part!

Tomorrow I will be back with the new Challenge for this week, along with new Design Team members, I can’t wait tell you all about!

Have a great nite!

Love Keesh
