YAY…..I stamped!
Happy Monday everyone……
Is it just me or did that weekend just whizz by super fast? I really don’t know what happens to the hours of the day, but it surely seems like there are less hours each week. I just know it won’t get any better either with Christmas only 13.5 weeks away! hmmmm I will have to start thinking of some Christmas projects won’t I.
I have had a few people say to me of late…” I see you are slowing down, by the looks of your blog”, and well I suppose you have all seen it too. I don’t want to appear to be making excuses, because the reality is that I just have had to put time to other things other than stamping, and blogging, and you know what? It feels really good. I have a house that is spotless, and a happy foster boy staying with us, I am far less stressed, and things are going well. Whilst I LOVE stamping, and sharing what I make, I have really come to see that a balanced life is far more beneficial for myself and the family. So whilst I would LOVE to be doing weekly tutorials, scrap pages and the like, I intend to take a little step back from those things for the time being. I hope this way I will feel re inspired, as I have had zero Mojo of late, and I can’t remember the last time I just made something just because I felt like it. Too often I am stamping to create projects for a class, workshop, or things for the blog. I am really hoping that if i get time to just stamp for me, I will rejuvenate that creative side of me, as well as have fun and exciting things to share!
I had a little taste of that on the weekend, when I stamped with some dear friends of mine. I created a couple of cards, which I have finally photographed.
Here is a card I made using the Swiss Pixie stamp from All that Scraps that I have coloured with my Copic markers:
and of close of this wee gorgeous gal…
Then i was lucky enough to borrow Julie’s new Owl stamp, which is just adorable. I put it together with the Parisian breeze DSP once I had finished colouring the images:
So there you have a couple of fun little creations I have made. I hope you likes

Good for you!! So glad things are going well, and your 2 cards are beautiful - you’ve become quite the Copic master haven’t you!!
xx
Keesh!!!! These are just BEAUTIFUL!!!!
I’m PROUD of YOU!!! How nice is it to sit and stamp for YOU??? I hope you get to do it more often.
I think you’re awesome.
xx Sar
Great cards Keesh! I have that owl stamp too, and it is just the cutest! I also adore that little Pixie stamp … I may have to add that one to my wishlist! LOL
I am glad to see that you are doing some ‘fun’ stamping, and I hope it helps restore your mojo!
oooooh these are soooo cute. That owl card is delish, those cheeky owls and that little caterpillar on the branch are so sweet. I am so inspired by your use of your copics Keesh. I am totally loving mine, they are such a joy to work with aren’t they? It’s strange for me to have 144 colours to choose from and can blend and shade all I want and never get bored. They are slightly addictive aren’t they though, but they are fun!! lol lol Glad you took time out to stamp for yourself, ‘that’s a good thing’!! Sally
Hey there my gorgeous friend!!
I’m standing up giving you a standing ovation…………..I’m so proud of you for taking a step back and enjoying the things that matter the most!!!
Luv ya!

Gorgeous little cards Keesh. Good to hear you are slowing down a little and working out your priorities. No wonder you’ve had a bit of a mojo-meltdown - you had a lot going on….and still do no doubt. Enjoy stepping back and finding the joy in stamping/creating again. I’m sure it will come in time:-) xL
Gorgeous cards, Keesh! I absolutely love your colouring. Glad to hear your newest addition is settling in so well, it must be the hugest blessing for him and his usual carer. I might have to CASE those card layouts too
Have a fab week!
Glad you’re taking some time to smell the roses Keesh! Good for you
Your blog and your stamps won’t shrivel up while you take some you time - trust me, mine never did!
Big hugs to you,

I’m trying to find a good balance in my own life too. Good on you for taking some time to find out what that looks like for you and yours……. I must follow your example
We’re off to Sydney tomorrow but I’ll be in touch about the 8th Oct when we get home.

It is so important to get that life balance, good for you doing something about it! I just recently resigned from my regular 9 to 5 job due to high stress and blood pressures levels that were being strongly influenced by the work environment. Since making this drastic decision (as it appeared to many!) I have been required to deal with other family situations that would not have been easy to manage should I have been still working. I have also now had to take on a full-time carer role for my mother-in-law and again this would not have been possible while I was working. The effort I put into my blog and workshops also added to my pressures and so I have tried to balance these out more as well. I believe we need to enjoy life and all that it has to offer us, whether it is of our direct choosing or an obligation we need to fulfill but still keeping a healthy and happy balance! Does this make sense to you as I just wanted to know that your situation is completely understood and you should be supported in whatever steps you need to take to keep this balance.
Sorry for the lengthy comment!
You would not be alone in this at all - there is only so much time in the day! A huge Congratulations to you!
I love these cards especially the Owl stamp and those Copic markers are just great!
Can’t believe Christmas is so close, thanks for the reminder. Glad your foster boy is settling in. I bet he is just loving having 4 other kids to play with. Love the glitter wings on your pixie stamp and the sentiment done on a semi circle, a lovely idea and those owls are too cute. Love their big dinner plate eyes, lol. Take care
Oh Keesh I loooove your honesty!! *hugs* You’ve no idea how much I appreciate this particular post … timely *hugs again!* And of course, love LOVE your cards and those stamps are SO gorgeous!!

Keesh it is sooo good to see you are taking care of yourself. Family is so important and should be your number 1 prioity. Kids grow up so fast and before you know it the are moving out of home. Enjoy them while you can. Love the cards! XOXO
Keesh,
I’m glad your slowing down a bit and enjoying the things you want to do. It must be something many of us are reassessing at the moment:) Life is too short, enjoy the special things in life. Take care of yourself. It had to take an injured foot to slow you up though!!
Love Jenny.
I love your cards keesh they are so cute. I think taking a step back is a great idea, life does become a bit hectic with the stamping, classes and workshops, and I totally agree that it is nice to stop and stamp something you want to do for a change. Take care and enjoy your precious family time. Susannah xo

These are too cute Keesh !
Hi Keesh,
it sounds like you really enjoyed the chance to stamp so your Mojo can’t be too far away - the cards are really lovely, stylish layouts and I love the rich bright colours. I could never figure out how you managed to do all that did before anyway, regardless, what ever you do do I will enjoy seeing and getting inspiration from.
Love Kim
Keesh - congrats on making the tough decision to step back a little. We only get the one chance at this life, and we need to take time for us to de-stress. The most important person in your children’s life is you (and their dad) - so you need to look after you. Relax and enjoy!! And gorgeous cards, Love Jo
Love your cards and acknowledge your post of honesty.
May your life continue to be blessed at a slower rate and may in time if it works and be your wish to pick up the pieces of a hobby you love:) take Keesh and hope your pains are slowing and your ankle/foor healing. Hope you can stamp at your leisure without the pressure. May your family life continue to blossom:) xx
oops you may have gathered i meant ‘take care’
Hi Keesh!
These are too cute! And I’m glad to hear that you’re feeling a little better after a rest. Balance is the key!! I’m right there with you….trying to catch up from being away last week, and getting ready to go away again. Stamping is being squeezed in the middle LOL! I hope your foot is continuing to heal. I’m thinking about you & can’t wait to talk with you again….maybe after the 23rd??
Take care!!
Kim
Well you already know how I feel about all of this from our lovely chat. I’m really proud of you. Sometimes it’s harder to slow down than just keep going. Amazing what happens when you peel back the layers to the things that really matter most. Go you
