Hey there peeps!

Published by Makeesha under 3-D Items

 Hi ya everyone!

Heres hoping you are having a bonza week. We have started school holidays this week, and what a relief it is not to have to drive the school run, on the downside, it is so much harder to keep the house in tip-top shape! LOL! But we have had some relaxing days, and even had a picnic on the back lawn today, in which I then proceeded to fall asleep in the sunshine~ :)

I had the really bright idea the other day that it would be a really really good idea for me to do a Detox…… I don’t know where that bright idea sprung from, but right about now, Detox is a dirty word! I haven’t had one ounce of sugar, wheat, caffeine, chocolate, or any of those other nasties we all become addicted to for 2 days! Did I mention I haven’t had chocolate for 2 days??? What a rude shock to the system that is! But considering I am feeling oh so terrible, it means that there are obviously lots of nasty toxins making their way out of my system, so I just have to hang in there to get the good feeling back. My headache has been the headache and the head spins have been the worse……BUT I am determined to get through the 10 days!! Hey if I can survive 2 days without chocolate, I am sure I can survive longer, and it will get easier, I am sure (well lets hope so!)

I have tried oh about 6 times to sit down and stamp in the last week and come up with zilch! I am having the worst missing mojo at the moment, and oh i am starting to get really worried it isn’t going to come back!!! Believe me I have tried several creations and each of them have ended up in the bin! Certainly not something I am used to, and i am a bit panicked that it won’t come back either!!! I will have to sit and try something really simple first just to get my confidence back :)

But I still have something up my sleeve to show you all……

As you know i am the Design Team member for Australia on Ustamp. Ustamp is an on-line stamping class that runs every 2-3 months. The Design team all share a bunch of fabulous things they have made and you get all the tutorials for them! Anyway I haven’t shared with you some of my projects that I have made for some time, and thought you would be interested.

Okay so here is something I called the Triple treat basket…..

This basket has an insert in the inside that has three circles cut out so that is nice holds the candles into it firmly. You could do the same and put jars of lollies into the circles as well.

Then the other thing I made was a gift basket:

Then all you have to do is add your goodies to it….

Here I have loaded it with some Stampin’Up goodies, ready to give to a friend.

I hope you have enjoyed seeing something different, and I promise I will still keep attempting to make something creative to share!!!

Have a goodie….!

Inkspirations Sketch Challenge # 13 WINNER!

Hey there everyone,

Well we are officially on School holidays again as of, oh about 1 hour ago! Boy does that feel good! 3rd term is always the one where everyone is tired and cranky by the end of it. Winter is at its final days, and well we are hanging out for the sunshine. I am really looking forward to spending some fun times with the kids, as well as having a sleep in or two (or make that three!!!) We had the sports carnival today, and thankfully the weather was lovely.

I really can’t believe that next week it is going to be October, as well as it is only 13 weeks today till Christmas!!! How fast this year has flown.

Now again the entries for this weeks Sketch Challenge were totally phenom!!! I can see that the new Great friend stamp set from Stampin’Up is being well loved, as there was lots of those creations!

This weeks fabulous Inkspirations winner that I chose is a card created by Sharyn Corsi.I loved the colour combination as well as how the flowers pop right off the page. Just beautiful Sharyn.

Then this weeks Honourable Mention is a creation by Lianne Carper. I love this colour combinations as well as the detail with the button, and do you see the twine in the centre of the butterflies.

Be sure to stay and view all the fabulous entries to the Sketch Challenge in the slide show….

ENJOY!

YAY…..I stamped!

Published by Makeesha under Cards

Happy Monday everyone……

Is it just me or did that weekend just whizz by super fast? I really don’t know what happens to the hours of the day, but it surely seems like there are less hours each week. I just know it won’t get any better either with Christmas only 13.5 weeks away! hmmmm I will have to start thinking of some Christmas projects won’t I.

I have had a few people say to me of late…” I see you are slowing down, by the looks of your blog”, and well I suppose you have all seen it too. I don’t want to appear to be making excuses, because the reality is that I just have had to put time to other things other than stamping, and blogging, and you know what? It feels really good. I have a house that is spotless, and a happy foster boy staying with us, I am far less stressed, and things are going well. Whilst I LOVE stamping, and sharing what I make, I have really come to see that a balanced life is far more beneficial for myself and the family. So whilst I would LOVE to be doing weekly tutorials, scrap pages and the like, I intend to take a little step back from those things for the time being. I hope this way I will feel re inspired, as I have had zero Mojo of late, and I can’t remember the last time I just made something just because I felt like it. Too often I am stamping to create projects for a class, workshop, or things for the blog. I am really hoping that if i get time to just stamp for me, I will rejuvenate that creative side of me, as well as have fun and exciting things to share!

I had a little taste of that on the weekend, when I stamped with some dear friends of mine. I created a couple of cards, which I have finally photographed.

Here is a card I made using the Swiss Pixie stamp from All that Scraps that I have coloured with my Copic markers:

and of close of this wee gorgeous gal…

Then i was lucky enough to borrow Julie’s new Owl stamp, which is just adorable. I put it together with the Parisian breeze DSP once I had finished colouring the images:

So there you have a couple of fun little creations I have made. I hope you likes :)
