New Design Team member required…….could that be you?

Published by Makeesha under Inkspirations Design Team

Hi again!

Well it is all happening today! We have the new challenge up, and wow the wonderful creations I have seen lately, it is all so exciting. You guys are really the best, and i am always amazed at how you all love to play along with the challenges each week.

The past few months we have had the addition of a Design Team for the Inkspirations Challenges. I think it has been a wonderful addition, and I LOVE seeing what each member puts together for us each week.

Being a part of a DT is quite an honour, but it is also work too. To be organized, and prepared ahead of time, takes commitment. Sometimes life however can just get that bit too busy, or people need to direct attention to other things in their life. This is what has happened to our wonderful DT member Karen Thomas.

Karen has been a WONDERFUL contributor to our DT and by the comments she always recieves, you all love her too! Karen has asked to stand down off the Design Team for some time, so that she can focus on other things in her life and whilst I am very sad to see her go, I totally respect her wishes, and want all the best for her first and foremost! So whilst we will miss your dearly Karen, we really wish you all the very best with your new endeavours, and hope you are truly successful!

So with Karen leaving the DT, it provides an opening for a new member……could that be you?

If you think you have what it takes to be an Inkspirations Challenges DT member, please send me your application via email to rmbyl@optusnetm.com.au with a short bio and two samples of your top work.

Please send your application in by the 18th of August. I won’t be personally replying to each applicant, but will be annoucing the new team member on the 1st of September.

Thanks again Karen, and good luck to all the applicants!

I look forward to hearing from you!

Inkspirations Colour Challenge # 11….

Published by Makeesha under Scrapbooking

Hey there!

It has been so great to see so many of you play along with the challenge again this week! I have loved what I have seen so far, and by the looks of it you all enjoyed this sketch too! I am finalizing the round up, and will annouce the winner shortly, but it is now time for the new challenge!

This week we are having a colour challenge. I love these colours together, and hope you do too!

Here is my sample:

Here I have used that stamp set Inspired by Nature that is fast becoming one of my favourites! I coloured up the flower with my markers, and stamped them onto vanilla cardstock. I have added a little bit of glitter for bling as well as some DSP, ribbon, paper piercing, and the greeting which is from the Three little wishes stamp set.

Now be sure to check out the Design Teams creations, because they will be nothing short of amazing!

Karen

Debbie - Guest designer

Want to play along? - here are some guidelines.

If you would like to play along, all you need to do is follow the directions:

1. Make your creation following the challenge ie, sketch, colour, or inspiration image.

2. Load your creation up onto your blog or a public viewing forum like Splitcoast Stampers, with a direct link back to the post on this website, so that others viewing the post will know where the challenge has come from, and it is courtesy to do so.

3. Then come back to this post so that you can add your name and link in the Mr. Linky!

You have until the Thursday the 13th August midnight to get your entries linked.

I will be annoucing the winner and honourable mention on Friday the 14th August.

I will attempt Mr Linky AGAIN, but if he still decides to stay on vacation, please just add your links in the comments section!

Most of all have fun!

Inkspirations Challenges August Guest Designer….

 Hey!

It is hard to believe that it is the month of August! This year sure is flying by super dooper fast!

So it is time to introduce our new Guest Designer for the month! I really hate seeing the past months’ designers go, but I also love introducing the next one!

This month we have the absolute pleasure of having the very lovely and talented Debbie Pamment as our Guest Designer for August. Here is a little bit about Debbie,

My name is Debbie Pamment and I have loved craft all my life. I have made quilts, teddy bears, wedding cakes, dolls and clothes. I have also done folk art and a variety of embroidering - but I have NEVER been able to knit or crochet - LOL. Last year I discovered paper crafts with a friend of mine - and later in the year I was booking a Stampin’ Up demonstration. Within a month I was signed up and wondering what I was doing - I didn’t know HOW to stamp! My wonderful husband of 25 years and my 2 amazing kids have been very supportive of my SU journey - and I’ve met some of the most amazing people along the way - and learnt to stamp too - LOL.

I have personally met the gorgeous Debbie at the Stampin’Up Convention in May, and she is a real sweetie. You can view Debbies website HERE. Be sure to pop past her blog, and give her a warm welcome!

Have a goodie,

Love Keesh

Stamp-a-thon 09 - part 2…

Hey there!

WOWZA……I am totally sure that there are less minutes to every hour this past 2 weeks!!! I feel like I am a cat chasing her tail, and just can get to the top of the pile. I have had a few events this week, like babysitting for friends, keeping Kate company, my besties birthday and the birth of her gorgeous daughter yesterday, cooking for the School, Stamp classes, the website crashing etc… the list goes on. Whilst I love my business, I am finding family and friends have quite a lot of needs at the moment, and I definitely want to be sure that they remain my priority. SO whilst I am wanting to stamp, blog, and keep everything running smoothly, it certainly is far from that at the moment. Anyway, hopefully after i get a few important things crossed off the list, I will be back to regular speed…..(we can hope anyway!)

First off though it is back to the Stamp-a-thon news…… ( I can’t believe that this is a week ago already!!!)

Well this is the fun part….. seeing the projects we made on the day at the Stamp-a-thon. This year I had the wonderful help from Louise Ryan, and Charmaine Black. I truly don’t think I could have done the Stamp-a-thon without their help. The past two years I have done the Stamp-a-thon all by myself, now that I think about it, I am not too sure how I managed it. This year of course we had more people, but that was really only possible with Char, and Lou joining forces with me. It was great to meet some of their clients and have them involved on the day as well.

So again the projects we did on the day are a combination of all our work, not just mine. I have them all photographed, and I have added my watermark on them, but I haven’t necessarily made them all, so look out for the name of the person who has :)

The front of the card….

Which opens up like this….

Louise designed this cute fun folded card with the new Tree trimming stamp set. Also used was the new Ski slope DSP from the new Mini catty. I wasn’t too keen on this stamp set, but now seeing Lou’s card, I just have to have it now!

A Criss Cross card…..

This inside card……

Louise also made this cute Criss Cross card. It is made using the new Great friend stamp set, and the Walk in the park DSP….I LOVE this set!

Corner book marks….

These cute corner bookmarks that go on the top corner of your page were also made by Louise! Cute hey. We used the Wanted stamp set for the masculine one and Circle circus for the girly one. I love these!

Front cover of the Mini scrapbook album…..

The mini album opened up….

Charmaine is the clever cookie who designed this little mini album, showing the new Forest Friends stamp set from the new Mini catty. Also used is the Walk in the park DSP from the Mini catty.

A cute nugget box….

The fun contents inside the box….. a thong soap!

I designed this cute nugget box, with the Just Beachy stamp set from the new mini, with some Walk in the park DSP. A friend of Charmaine’s made 100 thong soaps for us to give the guests. They are so cute :)

A spring card…..

Char again designed this cute spring card, with the Just Beachy stamp set. I love the truck in this set!

A decorated gift bag….

These are so fun and simple to do. Char and I worked on this one together, and we have used the new Parisian breeze DSP and the Ovals all stamp set both from the new mini.

A flower pot card….

When you pull the flowers up you have the message on a strip inside…

I had made this cut pot a little while ago, and we thought it would be a great project to do at the Stamp-a-thon.

So there you have our mixture of projects made at the Stamp-a-thon. From the feedback we recieved they were all loved by the guests. Some of these I hope to make up as my Make it Mondays in the coming weeks, so you will all learn how to make them as well.

Thank you to everyone who has left me encouraging and supportive comments about the Stamp-a-thon. I would love to reply personally to each of you, but with no time available, I just want you to know that I really appreciate your lovely words, and it has been my pleasure to put together the Stamp-a-thon for the National Breast Cancer Foundation!

Have a lovely weekend….

when it rains, it pours…..

Published by Makeesha under Chitchat with Keesh

Yes we are having wet weather at the moment here, but i am really talking about another thing. You know that saying,

“When it rains it pours” ?

Well that is kinda what is going on here at the moment! This week has been completely haywire, with no reprieve whatsoever! I am trying to get so many things sorted and done all at once, and do you think it would go smoothly……of course not :(

So rather go into all the details and turn this post into a whinge fest, I am just going to let you know that I am alive, and doing my upmost to keep thing going without dropping the ball etc..

My Wordpress won’t let me upload photos at the moment, so i have my hands tied as to what i can post, or not post!  It is after midnight and I am tired of playing with it, so have given in.

SO on a bad note, I don’t know when I will get the new challenge up! I obviously can’t do it with no images!!!

I will have to keep you posted on that one, and well hopefully it will be resolved really really soon!

Thanks for your patience!

Love Keesh

Ps…hopefully we do boxing at PT in the morning, so I can let off some steam! :)
