Inkspirations Colour Challenge # 11 WINNER!…

 Hey everyone!

I hope you are all having a wonderful weekend so far! It is so wet and stormy here at the moment, and certainly not nice weather at all. But nice if you are just sitting on the couch like I am :)

I have seen all your amazing creations for the latest colour challenge, and they are all adorable! Viewing them is the fun part but picking each weeks winner is always difficult!

This week I have chosen this amazing card by Melissa Barkwith. I love all that paper piercing and the adorable way she has used the Forest friends stamp set, which has me totally stumped!

Then for this weeks Honourable Mention I picked this adorable creation by Genelle Little. I Love how she has layered up the flowers along the bottom, as well as created the cute tag slide in message! Just adorable Genelle!

I am always amazed that with each challenge you get so many diverse creations! It is really quite suprising to see what each person comes up with a certain set of colours or sketch etc….

Here is a slide show of all the amazing creations from last week! ENJOY!

Inkspirations Inspiration Challenge # 11….

Hello everyone,

WOW, it feels strange to be back on the computer, after 4 full days on the couch! I certainly am feeling like a couch potato! I keep reminding myself that it is good to rest and the best thing, but I do confess to feeling a little stir crazy at times. But I don’t have any other choice as i can’t get around or go places. It is a good thing there is absolutely not an ounce of chocolate in the house, let alone anything yummy to eat, or I would be tucking into that just to keep amused!

I also want to say a very BIG thank you for all your lovely comments about my ankle…..40 get well comments really makes a gal feel loved! So thank you so much, it has been very very encouraging.

Now I have the newest Inkspiration Challenge for you all. I haven’t done a sample yet, because I just haven’t been able to get into my stamp nook, to stamp. Too much pain, and not enough energy to stamp at this stage. I would think that I would be hanging out to sit and stamp, but alas no I haven’t. I better get that mojo soon though as i have 35 swaps to make for the Incentive Trip next week!

Okay sorry to get off track then, back to the new challenge!

This week we have an Inspiration challenge, and I hope you don’t get scared off by this one! Here is the image for you:

See, a little different, but definitely fun all the same!

Now be sure to check out the Design Teams creations, because they will be nothing short of amazing!

Plenty of excitement around here……

Published by Makeesha under Chitchat with Keesh

Hi peeps,

Do i have a story to tell you tonight or what! Life is never dull around, here, but i am sure you all know that, by all the stories I am regularly telling.

So Tuesday morning rolls around, and well that means I have to be up bright and early for PT (personal training) from 6-7am. I got through the warm-up, and started on the circuit we were doing that morning……la la la, I am starting to work up a sweat, and WHAM I hit the deck, totally rip my ankle over in the one direction and hear a nice clear rip! Oh the pain just ripped through my foot and up my leg, as I am sitting there on the floor, grasping my ankle.

Pauline my fabulous PT wrapped it in ice straight away, and kept the group working. I went into a bit of shock, and got the shakes. I called Rod to come and pick me up and he got the kids sorted and dropped off at my friend and neighbour Sharon, who very kindly took them to school and took care of Janaya, whilst Rod took me to the Emergency room.

4 hours it took of waiting to see the doctor, and have an X-ray. I was convinced it was fractured, as i was in so much pain, and heard that rip sound. But thankfully it wasn’t broken, but I have torn the ligaments in my ankle. So it of course is swollen and bruised all over. I am not to walk on it for at least 4 days, not that i think i could, and keep it strapped and elevated. Talk about painful~ :( I hope it heals pretty fast as we have the Incentive Trip next week, and I don’t really want to take crutches along as my hand luggage! LOL!

It is very foreign to me, to be sitting around all day……certainly something I have to get used to, but a good thing I bought those books last week! I will be getting a good dose of reading in.

Rod has been fabulous, and a great Mr.Mum for us all. He has taken the two days off work to help me, and the kids.

So whilst I would love to be stamping, my craft desk is upstairs, and well it is rather difficult to get to. I managed to get up there last night, crawling on my hands and knees, but I don’t want to be doing that all day. I do have some other projects I have made recently to show you, but i will try to do that tomorrow.

Anyway I just thought I would touch base, and let you know that I am still here, but now a little disabled! LOL!

Have a good night,

I am a PROUD aunty again!….

Published by Makeesha under Family

Hi ya,

I think I mentioned the other day that my bestie had her baby on Friday…. a sweet little daughter. It is hard to believe that Lee has just had her third child now! I have had the pleasure of being Lee’s labour support person, and it just seems like the other day, she was having her first, and I was 39 weeks pregnant and in the labour ward supporting her whist she had Sarah, and then in 2007 with her son Kade. Now they have three adorable munchkins!

I got to go back to the hospital last night for another cuddle of the latest addition, the beautiful baby girl

Isabella Lee Pelosi

7lb, 4oz

Isn’t she the sweetest cherub you have ever seen?

A very proud Aunty…

What a wonderful blessing, and I am sure she will bring lots of joy to their family…..

Inkspirations Sketch Challenge # 11 WINNER….

Happy Monday peeps,

Those Mondays really roll around so fast don’t they??!! I love getting the house back in order on Mondays and planning what needs to be done, baking, washing, cleaning and the like. I hope to take things a little slower this week, as I really need to chill out a little. Poor Rod has really had to cope with me being a total Stress head, and I am sure it isn’t pleasant at times. :)

So I have had a look at all your wondeful creations from the Sketch challenge…..lots of beauties in there! I didn’t get to comment on them all, but I did see them all!!!

Here is my pick for this week, a fabulous creation by the gorgeous Lee-Anne Barry! I Love how she has paper toled the blossoms on the stem, and created the double background…..very vintage!

Then for this weeks Honourable Mention, I have picked this gorgeous Scrap page by the lovely Jean McKenzie. I love the colours Jean chose, and of course the paper piercing and brads around the circle! Love it Jean!

Of course there were plenty of other wonderful creations! Here is the Slide show of all the other entries!

Thanks for playing everyone!
