An AmyR sketch…..

Published by Makeesha at 3:08 pm under Cards, Sketch Challenges

Hi everyone!

I hope you are keeping well. It is raining here right now, and hasn’t stopped for a while. Rod is busy in the packing shed getting the last load of Persimmons loaded to head to the Market in the early hours of tomorrow morning……*sigh* it is the end of an era for us. Having planted the orchard back in 1994 and watching the trees grow up, and now bare fruit for some time, has been a big part of our lives. Now having the property up for sale, we realize it is probably (hopefully) the last fruit season we will ever do! That is certainly a big change for us, and quite a milestone. I wonder whether we will miss it, or always be glad to have it behind us? I know for sure we will be thankful for the spare time we have as a family, but the fun times in the shed (yes there were a few) will be missed I am sure.

Now onto something far more interesting! This week the sketch for AmyR’s Friday Sketches was a little different, but great all the same. I have to confess to having another shipment of Copic markers arrive yesterday……..oh la la, I have lots and lots of BEW-DI-FUL  colours to play with!!! You seriously have to check out www.icopics.com as they have amazing price, service, packaging….the whole kit and caboodle, FANTABULOUS! they even sent me a gift voucher for being such a good customer (I won’t tell you how many I own now! LOL!) and giving them a plug! How cool is that! yep $75 US……now that is quite a few Copic markers for free! Thank you iCopics!!!

Here is the sketch for this week:

My sketch piece….

Isn’t this wee little gal adorable??!! Her name is Gretel from the Swiss pixies range made by CC Designs. You can buy her at www.allthatscraps.com

Okay so for this card I have started with a So saffron base card which I stamped with the fluffy floral stamp out of the Good friend stamp set from Stampin’Up. I added a wide strip of floral paper from the Good morning Sunshine DSP from Stampin’Up which I added the scalloped edge to the left hand side of Pacific point cardstock. The strips are some dsp from the same pack, and some of the Pacific point striped ribbon from Stampin’Up. Lastly I added the Old olive brads, and the image which I have stamped and coloured with my Copic markers. The colours I used are here below:

These colours I used on her face and boy, as well as her hair, and the shadowing for the ground

Then these colours for her dress, shirt, boots and wings.

That was great fun, so THANK YOU Amy for the great sketch!

Love Keesh
