Inkspirations Sketch Challenge # 9 WINNER!

Published by Makeesha at 2:42 pm under Inspiration Challenge, Sketch Challenges

 Hello my dear friends,

Thanks for all your encouraging comments and words of advice about the tooth situation. It was really good feedback, as I really wasn’t too sure what to do!

Well yesterday I had my appointment back at the dentist, and asked them to pull the tooth out. I was quite nervous, and didn’t know what to expect as i haven’t had to do this before. I have to say it was a really awful experience, and I am still in shock and trying to recover. The dentist was great, but I seemed to have a bit of a reaction to all the anesthetic because i was shaking so badly afterwards, and ended up in tears that I just couldn’t stop (much to my complete embarrassment!) I think I just went into complete shock afterwards. It is still quite painful, and I have to take pain killers every 4 hours but they definitely do help.  But the tooth is gone, and once it heals up I am sure it won’t give me any more trouble. I am really looking forward to feeling my old self again though!

Today I have seen all the Challenge entries for last weeks sketch, and wow it was really hard to pick a winner this week! In the end though I have picked the beautiful creations by Kylie Maher. I love how Kylie has stamped the flowers underneath and then used the Vellum overlay for her greeting…..very elegant!

Then for this weeks Honourable Mention, I have chosen this gorgeous creation from Sue. I love Sue’s choice of colours and the extra details with the ribbon, tag, and tearing! Fabulous job Sue!

Thanks to everyone who has played along and a very BIG THANK YOU to Kim Badelt for being out guest designer for June! I am sure you will agree Kim, did such a superb job at being on the DT and had us inspired each week.

Next week will be one of the Design Team girls turn to pick the Inkspirations winner, and Honourable mention. AND we get to introduce the new Guest Designer for July……I know you won’t be disappointed, as i am really excited about this new guest DT member!

Here are all the other entries for the Sketch Challenge…..

Love Keesh

Gorgeous cards, Makeesha, I enjoyed viewing all of them.

I had a similar reaction to novocaine at the dentist’s office, and we determined that I am allergic to it!! So maybe you are too. I hope you feel better soon!

Makeesha.. I so know what you mean as I had my first ever tooth out last month - it’s not very nice at all is it? Keep up with the pain killers as long as you need to. The thing I have found the most annoying is that it’s taken me a while to get used to the gap… Im just starting to notice it less now. (It’s been about 5 weeks or so) But food keeps getting stuck there - not sure I like that bit. Euuwwww.

Hope you are feeling better really soon.

I am glad that for the most of it that ur dental ordeal is done and dusted Keesh. The shakes may have been a combo to the dental drugs and the pain killers that u were taking. U don’t appear to be a sturdy lass…therefore the drugs may have a longer 1/2 life in your system….just a theory. The challenge cards were all awesome. Sending you all the good feelin’ vibes I can your way darl. ooxx

    Hi Keesh
    Awesome winner and runner up!
I had a tooth pulled not so long ago - it took 1 1/2 hours - afterwards I was in shock also - I was shaking and crying - very normal reaction! But like you have said - once its all healed - you will not have anymore problems! I did have little shards of teeth for a couple of weeks - so just be weary about that. Keep up the pain relief! It took me about 2 weeks to recover. I didnt do any exercise over that time - so not sure how you will go with your PT!
    Lots of love!
    Lisa :)

Sorry to hear about your tooth problem, Keesh! I can only imagine the pain you went through. Isn’t amazing how a tiny cracked tooth can cause so much pain? I feel for you. I hope all that is behind you now. Sending you a hug from California!

Hope you feel better really soon Keesh. I second that it’s a shocking experience, but it does get better eventually. Hang in there :)

    Hi Makeesha,
I hope you are feeling allot better, I have just finished off the Root Canal process and it wasn’t pleasant, so I am glad that you got the tooth pulled. I just want to say a very big thank-you for picking my card as your winner, all entries were stunning and it would have been extremely hard to narrow it down. I look forward to all of your future challenges and just love the work that you do.
    Stay well,
    Kylie Maher.
