Inkspirations Inspiration Challenge #8 WINNER!

Published by Makeesha under Cards, Inspiration Challenge

 Hello everyone…..

friday again, and that means announcing the winner of this weeks challenge. I am impressed with everyone that gave it a go this week…..I could see the potential for no one to play so it was great to view your amazingly creative projects!

Now I truly loved this card made by Robbyn! Her use of stamps, and the bleaching along with the two squares, really wowed me. Great job Robbyn!

Then i loved this card by Sue, it is a different layout, which I really like, and will try to have a play with some time.

gorgeous hey!

Thanks again to everyone that has played along this week. You can see all the amazing creations here in the slide show!

Okay off to upload the new challenge for this week!

Stampingbella splendour…..

Published by Makeesha under Cards, Sketch Challenges

Howdy folks…..

now, i don’t want to go on and on and about those Copic markers…..BUT I can’t help myself!!
They are ROOOOOOLLLEEEYYYYYY, ROOOOOOOLLLLLLEEEEEEYYYYY delish to work with! And well I just had to play with them again!

I have recieved several emails asking about where I purchased my Copic markers from, and about the stamps I was colouring in….

So I thought I would share some details with you:

I bought the Copics at a website in the USA, called iCopics and here is their web address: www.icopics.com

I did a lot of research about buying them in a set, or buying them individually etc. In the end I could buy the 72 box set for a whole $100 cheaper from the States that I could at the Copics store in Australia…..go firgure? And they arrived in a week! the Aussie one is called Sudiocopics, but they don’t have all the colours, and they don’t have the big sets in stock, they have to be ordered in, so I wasn’t too impressed there.

There are several on-line stamp companies that are selling them too, but they are quite pricey, in comparison, to iCopics. So yeah that is where I would go again to purchase more….(sooner rather than later!)

Now the other thing is that with Copics you need a particular ink to stamp your images before you colour with the Copic markers. I have bought a Momento Tuxedo black stamp pad, which you can get at different on-line stores ( i bought mine at www.bizzybecs.com) and it was about $14.

As for the stamps that I have coloured so far, theyare all from stampingbella…….oh so LOVE their stamps!!! you can find a huge variety on their website www.stampingbella.com . They are great for fun loving cards, that you need to just make now and then.

So I hope that info has helped a little :) and again don’t go down the Copic road, if you don’t have lots of Moolah because wow, they are addictive, but in a good way! :)

Right back to business…… I did create a card for the Stampingbella sketch challenge this week,…..and yes using my Copics, and my Stampingbella stamps! LOL!

Here is the sketch for this week:

and this wee cute guy:

isn’t that the cutest turtle you have ever seen?

here is a close up of that adorable face…

Cutie pops!

Okay here are the Copic markers that I used on this card:

Have a goodie!

Mojolicious # 91

Published by Makeesha under Cards, Sketch Challenges

Hey everyone!

I hope you are keeping well! I have had a great day today, catching up with friends, and planning something exciting…….can’t tell you yet, but you will have to come back tomorrow to find out what I talking about!

Anyway it was a good one :) - I hope yours was too!

Well finally got to work on this weeks Mojo Monday sketch. I was trying to make something masculine for a change. It is a great sketch to work with, and I will definitely use this one again!

Here is the sketch:

And my masculine creation:

Here I have used Chocolate chip cardstock with the Windsor knot DSP with some watercolour paper. I inked the tree up with my markers, and then spritzed it so that the coloures would blend. The stamp set I used is the Le Jardin Botanique stamp set from Stampin’Up. I have also used Pewter brads and some striped Saffron ribbon with my distresser.

here is a close up of the tree:

Thanks for looking :)
