Inkspirations Inspiration Challenge Winner….

Published by Makeesha under Inspiration Challenge

Hey there!

Well it has been a funny week for this challenge……..with Mr.Linky disappearing, I am sure I am missing lots of entries which I am sure you are sad about, along with myself!!! Thanks to everyone who did manage to get your link into the comments section, i really appreciate it.

So I have still picked a winner, from the ones I have seen, and again they were all beautiful!!!

My mouth literall dropped open when I viewed the creation made by Debbie Pamment……and going by the 33 comments she had on it, I am sure you all did too! Here is Debbie’s AMAZING creation!

Isn’t that just beautiful! Thank you Debbie for this amazing piece of inspiration!

Next I have chosen this amazing card by Lynn Weiss. I think it is a beautiful resemblence of the Inspiration image, and the love the fun fresh feel that it has!

I love how Lynn has used the vine from the Cheery chat stamp set for the floral stems!

Thanks again to everyone that played along, and the Design team girls who had amazing contributions to this weeks challenge.

I won’t be doing a slide of the cards this week, as I feel I will miss too many :( Here’s hoping Mr Linky does come back for the next challenge!

Take care!

Okay time for another fun question…..a fun one this time.

    Q. What is your stamping strong and weak points and what would you love to learn?

So the Project parade today sort of is all about nature, flowers, trees etc….. enjoy!

    Number 1:

For this card I have used the Sanded background stamp, the Le Jardin Botanique, and Circle of Friendship stamp sets from Stampin’Up. I have also used Basic grey, Kiwi kiss, Baja breeze and Watercolour paper for the cardstock. The ribbon is from the Ribbon original pack called Valet from Stampin’Up. I have triple stamped the tree in the three different colours.

    Number 2:

Okay so for this card I have used the Live like you mean it Hostess stamp set, with Pretty in pink, Regal rose, and Whisper white cardstock. I have also used a strip of DSP from the Tea party paper pack from Stampin’Up. I added paper piercing, and the wide Regal rose grosgrain ribbon for embellishment.

    Number 3:

Here I have used the Sanded background stamp, Pocket silhouettes, and the Occasional greetings stamp sets with Old olive, So saffron, and Tangerine tango cardstock with some Whisper white. I added a strip of the Haiku DSP with some Tangerine striped ribbon. I used my scallop and circle punches for the main image and lastly added some paper piercing.

    Number 4:

For this card I have used the Inspired by Nature stamp set, which has been stamped onto the Basic grey cardstock background to create a shadow effect. I added some paper from the Urban Oasis DSP pack from Stampin’Up, along with some basic grey taffeta ribbon, and paper piercing

    Number 5:

This card didn’t photograph too well, but the colours are So saffron, Almost amethyst, and Elegant eggplant. I have used some DSP from the Afternoon tea paper pack from Stampin’Up. The stamp sets used are Playful petals and Wonderful Favourites, and I used some purple rhinestone brads, with some Vanilla wide grosgrain ribbon.

    Number 6:

Then last of all this card which uses the Sanded background stamp, and the Echoes of Kindness hostess stamp set. I have used Watercolour paper for the floral image that I stamped with Stazon and watercoloured with my aquapainters. I have added two pretty in pink brads, and the wide stitched Baja breeze ribbon.

Phew there you have 6 more creations! I hope you are all being inspired!

I look forward to hearing all about your stamping skills…….!

    Have a great night!

HELP…..Mr Linky seems to have taken a vacation!

    Published by Makeesha under Scrapbooking

    Hey everyone,

BOO HOO, Mr Linky has disappeared and doesn’t seem to want to come back! I have had that in the past buy usually he just disappears for a pee break and then comes back again, but not this time, he seems to have gone for good! I have emailed Mr Linky’s creators, and waiting to hear back from them, but since I don’t know if it can be restored etc, i need to ask a favour.

If you had already linked your Inspiration challenge entry through Mr linky, can you please come back and leave a link in the comments section, so that I can check out the entries? I think this will be the only way I will actually be able to see them!

Thanks in advance for your help!

    Have a goodie…..

    Convention Project Parade Day 3!

    Published by Makeesha under Cards

WOW Day 3 already! I am having fun, are you?

Thanks for answering my colour combo question, and I am amazed at all the different ones you all mentioned…. WOW, you could really make some gorgeous creations with the suggestions given, so i am going to write a few of them down for sure!

Now the fun part…….the BLOG CANDY! - this one is a pack of cardstock in all your fave colour combo!

    Okay here are the results:

    Here are your random numbers:

    22

Okay so checking out all the comments, it is this one by Jo, that WINS!

  • Jo

What a question, Keesh - do love the cards you make with fifth avenue. For colour combos, I am happier when I go monochromatic ( I love what others manage with all sorts of combos, but never seem to be happy with mine - I have the colour coach on my wish list!). I do love the colours in the bella bleu range - very vanilla, kraft and not quite navy, but for something new and bright for me, would love to try tempting turquoise, summer sun, cameo coral & glorious green. Thanks for the fun questions , Jo

  • So Jo wins a pack of Very vanilla, Kraft, and Not quite Navy cardstock for Blog Candy! Please email me Jo, so that I have your details to get this to you!

Well time for another question!!! Don’t be shy, you are welcome to comment each and everyday for your chance to win!!!

    Q. What is your Favourite embellishment?

Okay well I am going to call this project parade, Animalia…. Because it is all animal creations!

    Number 1:

Here is the very cute new stamp set from Stampin’Up called Hoppy for you! I love this set!!! So much fun. I have combined it with Basic grey, Kiwi kiss and Whisper white cardstock, with some DSP from the Urban garden paper pack. I also added paper piercing and silver brads.

    Number 2:

Tweet tweet….. :) I love this bird from the Good friend stamp set. I thought it was ugly to start with, but now I can’t get enough of it! I have used Certainly celery, Regal rose, and Apricot appeal with some whisper white for the carstock colours. The birdie is stamped in Regal rose ink, and the legs with Apricot appeal. I have added some Pretty in pink taffeta ribbon, and brads, with paper piercing for embellishment.

    Number 3:

And here he is…..This is STAN, the monkey man! Well you know I was never a fan of this guy, but Karen made me do it……YEP, she made me buy him to replace the BOUF! He has the cutest face, but that body,….oh my! But I have to admit I don’t have the body to to die for either, so he has found a very welcome spot amongst my stamp stash…..more on him to come, I promise!

Now for the card, I have used Riding hood red,  Chocolate chip, So saffron, and Bashful blue with Very vanilla for the cardstock. Oh and Stan’s body is stamped onto Kraft and Close to cocoa cardstock as well. I used the Riding hood red striped ribbon and Bashful blue brads for embellishment. He has been a naughty monkey eating all those bananas by himself! tutt tutt!

    Number 4:

I LOVE this stamp set, and I can’t wait to play with it more! It is called Build-a-roo, and don’t you think it is super cute? I have used Real red, Regal rose, and So saffron with Whisper white for the cardstock, and DSP. I coloured the Kangaroo with my stamp pads, and aquapainter. Lastly I added some white faux stitching with my white gel pen.

    Number 5:

Then the next one is the gorgeous Cheep Talk stamp set…..so cute! I have used the Washington Apple DSP paper for the strips mounted onto some Riding hood red cardstock. The main image is stamped onto Whisper white, double mounted onto some Bashful blue cardstock. I added some Bashful blue grosgrain ribbon and the silver brads for embellishment.

    Number 6:

And here are 3 little love notes that I made using the new Pun Fun stamp set. I have stamped each of the wee animals with Stazon ink, and watercoloured them with my aquapainter, using different cardstock to mount them etc….

Well I hope you loved all the zoo creations…… and I look forward to reading your answers to the question!

    Have a good night!

    Ustamp project 2….

Published by Makeesha under 3-D Items

    Hey there!

Well the second project for Ustamp this time round was, a Tunnel card in a wedding theme. I had so much fun putting this together…..in my Favourite colour scheme, which of course is a big topic at the moment!
So Chocolate chip, Pumpkin pie, Regal rose, and Whisper white!….DELISH!

I used the Always stamp set, with the Sweet always DSP both from Stampin’Up, with some Regal rose grosgrain ribbon, and some half pearls, and of course some paper piercing too!

Here is the front of the Tunnel card:

So this is the front and it is tied up at the side:

When you open the card up it will look like this

you can see the heart inside the window

And this is how it folds up

This is certainly a different style of card, but fun all the same, and great for one of those “Special” occasion cards like a wedding.

Hmm, makes me want to go and create when I see those colours together! But now I am off to see who Random.org picks for the next Blog Candy!

    Be back in a mo!

    Love Keesh
