Convention Project Parade Day 5!
WOW WEE, it is Day 5 for the parade, and well this is it everyone, the last projects that I made for Convention! This is actually a bit of a hodgepodge of things that I had made.
I had a great time reading all your comments today! It really seems that you all have the Colour combo, and layouts as your strengths, but sooooo many of you said watercolouring is NOT your strong point! hmmmm, it seems I may have to do a few tutorials on that one, which is great feedback!
But first off the Blog Candy for Day 4! YAY the fun part
So Random. org has picked number 3!
Here are your random numbers:
3
So that would mean that the winning comments is this one by Kathryn Mangelsdorf…..Congrats Kathryn, you have won a set of Aquapainters, and pack of watercolouring paper from Stampin’Up!
Hi again Keesha,
Love the cards with all those lovely ribbons, they are my favourite embellishments.
Now my strong point - I think I find good colour combinations and designs
The weak point - definitely is colouring (watercolouring I seem to get the colours too strong or not strong enough).
I just love to learn new techniques.
Thanks. Kathryn
If you could email me Kathryn so that I can get your address to send your goodies that would be great!
Okay so we have one more question! Be sure to leave a comment and answer to this question because this is it folks…….the Grand Prize entry for the Big Blog Candy tomorrow!!!! So you don’t want to miss out!
Q. If there is one thing you would like to achieve in your life, what would it be?
Now or the last Convention Project Parade!
Number 1:
Here is a fun card using the Cheers to you stamp set, and the Sweet Slumber specialty DSP paper pack, I have added some Baja satin ribbon which is from the Ribbon Original pack from Stampin’Up. The glasses have been dressed up with some Dazzling diamonds glitter. The scallops at the top have been made using the slit punch.
Number 2:
I love these little peanut guys! hehe. This is the That’s funny stamp set from Stampin’Up. I have used Not quite navy, Tangerine tango, and Kiwi kiss, with some Whisper white for the colour combination. I stamped and cut each peanut out and mounted it with dimensionals. I added a fold of Kiwi kiss striped ribbon, and some paper piercing for embellishment.
Number 3:
Hey this looks very similar to this weeks sketch challenge…! WOW! So for this card I have used the Tres Chic background stamp, with the Sweet stems stamp set, both from Stampin’Up. I combined it with the Raspberry tart DSP and some Rose red cardstock. The ribbon is the Kiwi kiss striped ribbon.
Number 4:
Love the new Totally tools stamp set. This card is very simple, perfect or the no fuss type of guy. I have used the Windsor knot DSP with Chocolate chip and Whisper white cardstock, embellishing with Saffron brads alongside the greeting.
Number 5:
then last of all I created two scrap pages. For this one of my darlings, I have used Kiwi kiss cardstock for the base, and some strips of the Good morning Sunshine DSP. I dressed it up with the spiral punch, Tangerine tango striped ribbon, and the Cheep talk stamp set from Stampin’Up which I have stamped and cut out.
Number 6:
Here is a photo of Rod with his parents and 5 brothers………! They are all best of friends which is so wonderful. I have used Pacific point, Riding hood red, Bashful blue, and Kiwi kiss or the cardstock. I added some Bashful blue striped ribbon, and brads for embellishment, and I rolled the background with the Watercolour vine Jumbo roller. Lastly I added some text with small strips of Whisper white cardstock.
Okay so there you have the Convention Project Parade! i hope you have found the project inspirational, or even just make want to pull out your stamps, and cardstock!
DONT FORGET - Sunday is the last day for the two specials for May, which is to Buy 3 packs of DSP, and get the fourth free! Also the amazing Demonstrators Scrapping Kit, to join Stampin’Up for $150! It’s soo great to see all your projects again and be reminded of how gorgeous they are!
The one thing I would want to achieve in my life is to have my kids grow up as strong people with a sense of caring for those around them - corny I know!! I see my daughter becoming this lovely young woman and realise how important this is to me that both my kids become decent people in this weird world!
xXx
Another lovely lot of projects Makeesha.
Have you got ur doona and pillow ready for ur much deserved lay down yet Keesh?? You’ve and a HUGE and v much appreciated week with all that you have shared with us…and we appreciate it v v much. THANKS!!
Nothing like a real TOUGH Q to finish on huh?? Well…..if i were to be cheesey…I’d say WORLD PEACE…..but I think ongoing happiness within myself and those around me would be FAB. Thanks for all of ur efforts Keesh.
Hi Keesh
Lovely projects as always! I especially LOVE the Raspberry Tart one! Thanks for all your lovely projects this week!
For the Question….. For my kids to grow up to be truly happy and content adults.

Hi-ya again Keesh!
Again, love all your creations. Loved what you said at conventions about adding extra to your workshop cards because thats how you like them and I couldn’t agree with you more. I like to think that the cards we make are cards I want to receive.
Thanks so much for your inspiration.
I would love to find balance in my life before I die. Maybe one day when I’m old I might get it. LOL
Debbie M
Keesh your artwork is amazing - as usual - one day I may get there.
The one thing I would love to achieve is for both my boys to grow up to be well adjusted young men who have learnt that just because life is not always nice - its what you do with what your dealt that makes you the person that you are - and that to ask for help is not a ‘girly thing’ but the sign of real men with understanding for life’s little ups and downs.
Keesh you have certainly been busy creating. Your creations are always so beautiful on the eyes
Q. If there is one thing you would like to achieve in your life, what would it be?
No regrets - To live life to the fullest. Breathe in life, rejoice and make the most out every precious moment - no matter how small or how big. Life is journey - embrace, reflect, grow and always move forward. Live for today as though there is no tomorrow
You have given us some very impressive cards this week & I would love to achieve stamping greatness such as yours, but the main thing I would love to achieve in life is for a happy & content family. I’m well on the way with one very happy, beautiful & full of life 17 month old. Hopefully the rest will be the same!
Hi Keesha
Thanks for such an inspiring week!!! It has been fantastic! As to what I want to achieve - well I would love to finish my uni degree (doing externally for 4 years now!!!) and to finally become a teacher! Its been a lifelong dream and with 4 children, study is a hard think to do! It would be great to get my degree to show my girls that with hard work and dedication anything is achievable!
A lifetime of opportunities that will ultimately help my children to grow up in an ‘almost perfect’ world (if that could ever exist).
Thanks again for this fantastic website, it is truly inspirational!
I LUV your blog & the latest card posts. You show how to use a little bit of bling, to get a whole lotta’ blang–blong!. You share such a wonderful variety of inspiration. My ultimate dream has always been to study music——-dance, piano, sax & violin—just to name a few. Thanks for all the hard work you put into this blog, to maintain it daily!! Stampin’ hugzzzzzz….
I want to know that I have been the best mother I could be. I know that I can’t be perfect (and some days I am far from it!), but I want to have given the best start in life that I could have.
Thanks for sharing your gorgeous creations Keesh. Love those peanuts!
The one thing I would like to achieve above all else is to watch my boys grow up to be strong, happy, healthy men. Oh, and to win lotto of course!!
Thanks so much for sharing all your beautiful cards.
Good morning Keesha,
What a wonderful day to wake up to sunshine in Adelaide and a message from one of my blog friends that I had won a prize. Thank you so much for the gift, I would love to improve my watercolouring skills. I can not believe the generousity of the Stampin’ Up demonstrators and how you all share your ideas they give me so much inspiration.
What would I like to achieve in life - I want to be happy and health and that my family and friends have this too.
Thanks again. Kathryn
Love the scrapbook pages Keesh - I need some inspiration for scrapbooking as I really want to start getting into it. Ok, to your question - The one thing I want to achieve is to be the best mummy I can possibly be to my darling daughter so that I can watch her grow up to be a strong, loving, caring, understanding person one day. Every day is a learning curve and I strive to achieve this every day as I wake up and pray to God to give me the strength, love and ability to be the best mummy in the whole world!
Congrats
Hmm that’s a VERY hard question Keesh! To find a job that I am happy in - seems scary that next year I’ll be working (hopefully LOL!).
I love your cards Keesh.. the first one especially is cute as! Love the wine glasses!
and the scrapbook pages too.. I can’t wait to get into that again.. now that exams are over!
Hmm.. that’s a really hard question…. there’s LOTS of things I’d like to achieve in life that it’s hard to say just one thing. I think the most important thing for me to achieve is to live my life for God in everything I do, but another thing I REALLY REALLY want to do is play as many instruments as I can at professional level and join some sort of cool orchestra/band that travels the world, so that I can experience heaps of new things and cultures and see more and more places.
I would really like to learn at least one more language and preferably two or three.
Keesh!!! You are truly amazing. ALL of your projects on parade have been amazing.
What would I like to achieve…. well there was always being a Mummy and a wife… I did that!!! So now, just being the very BEST person I can be and making sure that my beautiful family and friends are happy too.
xx Sar
You’ve done so well this week, and it’s been super fun for all of us I’m sure. To answer your question - I’d like to find total happiniess. For me and those I love. xox
Wow Keesh, what a better way to relax when i’ve got the flu, but to relax and take my time looking through my favourite blogs, yours being one of them.
Love your posts, its fantastic and full of inkspiration, ‘i’ll say!
Well i wasnt really here to leave a comment on my achievement but hey…..but to live my life completely and pleasing to God, be the best wife and mother, and to always put others first before myself, being willing to help out anyone even if it comes at the most inconvenient time and to just have perfect joy!
Enjoy your weekend xx
Hi Makeesha! I just found your blog and WOW, your creations are amazing. They’re all so creative and so colourful! I think I would like to find true love, maybe i’m naive and still believe but I do. Thanks for doing this giveaway =)
Hi Keesh,
Great job again, I would love to know that when my 4 kids grow up that i have done the right things bringing them up!
and also to build my business to a self-supporting point!!
thanks Amy
You’ve done it again!!! WOW WOW (that’s a double wow!!!!) LOL They are all gorgeous but my fav is the rasberry tart.
My achievement is for love and happiness for my kids and hubby…. we have that so I guess I have done it!!!
Anne
:-)))
Wow, what a question.
The thing, I think, about having a child, my only one at that, is that your most sincere hopes and wishes are about them, so…
I hope my sweet, thoughtful, loving, empathetic and handsome boy loves me always, and knows how much I love him, marries a woman with great morals and values, and passes his amazing God-given blessings and qualities genereation to generation, and that I’m around to nurture these hopes, and to be around to see it
To one day say my hope for him has come true, would be so awesome, Amen!
My dream was to write a book and have it published. This year I achieved that which has been a wonderful experience. My dream now is to be offered a second book contract and to be able to keep writing and encouraging women to find/develop and nurture a relationship with God. I’ve been doing a lot of public speaking at church groups, so speaking and writing and having this be my ‘paid’ job would be a dream come true and an achievement both for myself and for the kingdom of God
Hey Keesh! Hope you’re enjoying the long weekend! To answer your question, I would like to continue to learn something new everyday!!!!
Hi Keesh,
thanks for another day of brilliant and creative cards. The raseberry tart was especially sensational
Like so many of the others the one thing I would like to achieve would be that in my role as their Mum I can assist my two munchkins so that they grow to be srtong and happy individuals. Oh and I would like to learn how to pot (pottery pot that is).
Kim
Hi Keesh have really enjoyed the parade this week.
Seeing as how I am in a happy place now family wise, I would now like to have some me time and work with animals not a great life goal but one I know I am going to enjoy one day.
Karen
Great cards, as always!
Hmm, I don’t think I’ve ever really thought about the one thing I’d like to achieve most in my life. Let me think…
I think the one thing I’d like to achieve most in my life, at this point any ways, is to develop a successful and productive business.
Your questions sure make me think!
Help my boys to become happy wonderful adults.
Thanks for sharing you amazing cards.
okay, i don’t know if you’ve already picked a winner for this, but i’ll leave an answer now because it made me think a bit too much to answer the first time… i had the shape of the thought but not the words. so, i guess what i want to achieve is to learn how to really live what i believe - i think that encompasses much of what others have said (particularly in the parenting arena, but also in things like how i spend my time).
(oh boy, now i have amy grant in head…)
