Convention Project Parade…..Day 1

Published by Makeesha at 8:07 am under Cards

WHOO HOO, the time is here…..

It is day one of the Convention Project Parade, and i am excited to finally be showing you these projects!  So without further adieu here they are!

Crazy for cupcakes galore!

Number 1:

Okay for this card I have used the On your birthday and Crazy for cupcakes stamp sets from Stampin’Up. The DSP is the Sweet slumber specialty paper, and the Baja breeze prints DSP packs also from Stampin’Up. The cardstock I used was Riding hood red, So saffron, and Whisper white. I used ribbon, and paper piercing for embellishment.

Number 2:

For this girly one, I have used the Happy everything, Polka dot background and Crazy for cupcakes stamp sets. The cardstock is Regal rose, Pumpkin pie and Whisper white with some Rose red DSP from the Raspberry tart paper pack. I have also used my Stampin’write markers to colour and some dazzling diamonds glitter to dress it up. The greeting has been stamped with Versamark and embossed with White embossing powder. Lastly I added the Regal rose ribbon, and paper piercing along the bottom.

Number 3:

And some bright masculine fun too. I have used the On your birthday and Crazy for cupcakes stamp sets from Stampin’Up. Then the DSP is the Good Morning sunshine paper from Stampin’Up, and then I have added some More mustard ribbon, and Brilliant blue brads. The base cardstock is Pacific point, and I have stamped the cupcakes onto Whisper white cardstock.

Number 4:

Another sweet cupcake stack! For this one I have used Chocolate chip, Regal rose, and Very vanilla cardstock, along with some DSP fron the Candy lane paper pack from Stampin’Up. I have added the greeting from the On your birthday stamp set, punched out with my Oval punches and mounted with dimensionals. I have also used some wide Regal rose grosgrain ribbon and Pretty in pink brads for embellishment.

Number 5:

A single cupcake for this one. I have used Ruby red, Baja breeze, So saffron and Whisper white for this colour combo. The papers are a mix of Designer prints and the old Ginger blossoms paper packs. I have used White taffeta ribbon, and Ruby red brads, along with some paper piercing and glitter for embellishment.

So have I made you hungry with all those cupcakes?

Crazy for cupcakes is one of my new Favourite stamp sets from the New catalog. Now here is your question to win the Mystery Blog Candy………

Q. What is your new Fave stamp set from the New Idea Book & Catalog?

Each answer will have the opportunity to win the Mystery Blog Candy. I will be picking a winner tomorrow afternoon using Random.org, and will show you the Blog candy. Also there will be the next Convention Project Parade, and another question for you!

Have fun and good luck!

Love Keesh

    HI Keesh,

what gorgeous cards. I think the slumber DSP card or perhaps the choc chip base one are my fav’s.

My favourite set from the new catalogue - probably Upsy Daisy, I longed for it for so long!!! and I’ve seen stacks of beautiful cards on online with it. Now I just need to find the time to do some! (Some very close runners up would be Trendy Trees and Petals Pizazz though).

    Look forward to tommorrow.

    Kim

  21. annaon 25 May 2009 at 10:58 am

how come you can do orange and pink so well? it’s a combo that waaaay scares me!

i have, oh, about a zillion favourites - my favourite (most used) is the sanded background (i just can’t make a card without it at the moment), my favourite (most hoping it would make it into the catalogue) is inspired by nature, my favourite (most ideas for) is organic outlines, and my favourite (most getting-next-order) is pocket silhouettes. it’s just a shame that i only have sanded…

  22. Tamara Con 25 May 2009 at 11:16 am

Lovely cards, makes me want to get cracking and make a card.

My favourite stamp set is by far Fifth Avenue Floral! I have been using it for everything and it is so versatile and you can use so many techniques with it! I have actually had to force myself to use different stampsets just so I can show different stamps on my blog and at my workshops - my customers will think it’s the only stampset Stampin Up currently sells!!!

MMM Well since I’ve changed everything and I’m still not being notified of these posts until the day after they’re done, I will put my two cents worth in and see what goes.

I believe Welcome Home will become my favourite stamp set - especiallly once I find a new home to move to.

  67. Andrea L - EnchantINKon 26 May 2009 at 9:28 am

Hi Keesh … You have just reminded me to go and get this set out! Somehow it got forgotten in the post Convention excitement. I love this set … but if I need to choose a favourite … it has to be the “Friends 24/7″ set that Shelli demo-d at Convention. I truly wasn’t a fan … but had to rush back from Canberra and add it to my first order. For some reason I keep being drawn to it whenever I start creating a new card at the moment!
It is so nice to see you back on deck! Can’t wait to see what else you have in store for us!
    Stampin’ Hugs, Andrea L

  68. Shareeon 26 May 2009 at 10:29 am

I would have to say, Fifth Avenue. I love how versatile this set is. You can watercolour the flowers, stamp randomly over a piece of cardstock to create a wall paper effect (when cut up this looks like DS paper! You can also cut out the flowers and using dimensionals, create super cards with a 2D effect.

I love seeing the way other people are using this stamp set in creative ways too!

  69. Sarah Kostkovaon 26 May 2009 at 1:18 pm

    Hi Keesh,
    Love me some blog candy!
I’m with Shell on this one, Owl Together Now is the cutest :)
