Inkspirations Colour Challenge # 7
Moi again!
Who is ready to have another play with a challenge? I HOPE you all are!
This week we have a colour challenge!
Here are some nice earthy colours to play with. I really wanted to create something feminine with these colours, but due to leaving it to the last minute, I had to whip up something fairly easy……hopefully i will get the time this week to do one!
This is my sample with the colours:
I wish the pic was better…..I am really missing my camera!
Anyway this will have to do till I finally get into the city to buy a new one!
For this card I have used Really rust cardstock for the base which I layered up with some Chocolate chip DSP from the Windsor knot pack from Stampin’Up. I added a strip through the centre with some sage DSP from the very same pack. The tree and oval greeting stamp are both from the Le Jardin Botanique Stamp set from Stampin’Up which I have stamped onto Watercolour paper. I did spritz the tree with water to make the colours spread.
For embellishments I have used the wide Chocolate chip stitched ribbon tied off with a button from the Button Latte set with some twine. I then used some antique brass brads and paper piercing to dress it up.
Please go and have a look at the Design Teams wonderful creations for the Colour challenge # 7 and give them some comment love!
Want to play along? - here are some guidelines.
If you would like to play along, all you need to do is follow the directions:
1. Make your creation following the challenge ie, sketch, colour, or inspiration image.
2. Load your creation up onto your blog or a public viewing forum like Splitcoast Stampers, with a direct link back to the post on this website, so that others viewing the post will know where the challenge has come from, and it is courtesy to do so.
3. Then come back to this post so that you can add your name and link in the Mr. Linky!
You have until the Thursday the 21st May midnight to get your entries linked.
I will pick a winner and an honourable mention on Friday 22nd May.
I hope you have fun with this one, and do try to give it a go!

Hi Keesh
The colours are sooo nice. I love what you did with the tree, it does look like an autumn tree, beautiful. Since I live here in Canberra and there are autumn leaves all over the ground, I decided to photograph the card I made out in the garden : )

Hi Keesh,
definately found this colour combo challenging and may’be, bizarrely thats why for the first time I ended up making two cards, I kept trying to get it right. Not sure that I did but I had fun.
