Hey  everyone,

WOW what a week! It has been HUGEwith all the last preparations of Convention.  You should have seen me running around like a headless chook! I was even packing my swaps at the kids swimming lessons this morning!

I have to tell you that I have just arrived in Canberra for this years Stampin’Up Convention, and wow there is so much excitment in the air! The hotel is beautiful and roomie, which is a nice bonus

I wanted to post before I left, but boy oh boy, there wasn’t even a mo to scratch myself. Which just goes with the usual Convention tradition of staying up till the wee hours finishing off swaps, getting packed, yada yada…….. I usually am throwing things in the suitcase just as I am about to leave……

Anyway I am here, and hopefully I have all the essential items with me. I didn’t bring my laptop, but am using Vicki’s (she has been complaining about my lack of posts!!!) So I thought I better quickly give you an update to let you know that I am alive and haven’t completely abandoned you all!

Now that I know Vicki has her lappie, I hopefully can keep you up to date with the goings on, over this weekend!

I have stamped heaps too, so I PROMISE  I will be making up for my lack creative posts next week!!

WOO HOO, I am soooo excited to be here!

Hi everyone!

Well I have finally managed to get back here! We have has so much going on this past week…..a bit of trauma actually, but it has started to settle down now.

First it started off with a very bad haircut! You know when you love to go to the hairdressers, but come out feeling like you want to put a paper bag over your head! …..Yeah I talking that kind of trauma! Worst is that you actually have to pay for it too! I have managed to wrangle it with the straightener, and well do my bet, but I am definitely going back to have it fixed up before I fly out on Wednesday for Convention!!!

Then my little darling Janaya, came flying off the trampoline and split her head open! I am talking a 1.5inch deep gash to the back of her head……not a pretty sight seeing blood pouring out of your ’ head. Luckily Rod was home, so that I could drive and he could keep a pressure bandage on her head to get her to the doctors. They managed to glue it though, which is a whole lot nicer than having anesthetic and stitches! She is all good now, but it took me a little while to get over the shock.

Then we have had the home opens again…..oh this selling business is not much fun I tell ya! Hopefully it doesn’t go on forever as I don’t know how much longer I can handle it

The school holidays have been fabulous, and we have had lots of fun times with the kids over the past 2 weeks! But they go back this week…….ALREADY!

I have been stamping, but i haven’t managed to get to the second point of photographing, editing and uploading them yet……Sorry! Hopefully this afternoon I can get round to it

Have you been missing the Inkspirations challenges?

I have really been missing seeing your creations for my challenges! I am always amazed at the different creations we all come up with for each different challenge.

So on that note, I would love to have an “Inkspirations Design Team” where we can really draw more inspiration off each other each week, and hopefully have more fun with the Challenges!

There are 5 Design Team positions available. To apply for a position you will need to email me at rmbyl@optusnet.com.au and attach 2-3 pieces of your best work (what you consider your best )and a short Bio about yourself by Monday the 4th of May - so you have nearly 2 weeks! This call is not limited to Australia, so international persons are free to apply also!

I will go through all the entries, and then pick who I think best suits to be an Inkspirations Design Team memeber and contact you. I won’t be replying to each email I receive, but will only contact the successful applicants from that date.

Then on Friday the 8th of May, I will be introducing the new Inkspirations Design Team to you all, along with a new challenge for you to all have a play with!

This is going to be great fun, and I can’t wait to see your entries!

hey everyone,

I have been sitting on this news for the past week or so, waiting for Louise to get back from holidays, as I didn’t want the suprise to be spoilt for her, if she just happend to read my blog before I got to chat to her!

So much to my delight and amazement, my story about the Stamp-a-thon’s I have done to raise funds for the National Breast Cancer Foundation has been published in this months edition of Scrapbook creations.

Who would have thought that the fun day would later be shared with so many and told in this great magazine!

I think the story really depicts the two Stamp-a-thons that we have done in the past two years, and of course it was so wonderful to have Louise with us there on the day as well!
