Amy Rysavy Sketch # 62
Well this week, I managed to whip up a card for Amy’s sketch this week! It is a fabulous sketch and I will be using this one again for sure.
I also had fun using some new colours and stamps from the very anticipated New Idea book & Catalog!

Ah isn’t that the cutest bird???!!! For this card I have used a brand new stamp set called Good friend from Stampin’Up. It is going to be in the brand new catty to be released on the 1st of April. I have also used the new In colours for this year, the blue being called Pacific point, and the green is called Kiwi kiss. I have also used the new Good morning Sunshine DSP paper pack which I cut into 3 1 inch strips. I then stamped the flowers onto Whisper white cardstock, and cut the bird out mounting it with dimensionals. Last of all I added the greeting from the Wonderful Favourites stamp set from Stampin’Up, and the More mustard grosgrain ribbon.

I wasn’t too sure of the new in colours, but boy oh boy they are growing on me!!! I have now received my own copy of the New Idea book, and one word sums it all up………DELISH!!!! You are going to love it, I promise!

Hi Makeesha. Love the card and yes the new in-colors are amazing. The little birdy is so cute and can see you using that again. The sketch is lovely and will give it a go one of these days. Just letting you know that I gave your ‘Love Note box’ a go the other week for my MIL’s birthday and it turned out really well, so thank you for that. I did give you credit on my blog.

How do you like the new InColors? I remember when they came out here in Canada, they scared me! They are brighter than the previous families. I’ve fallen in love with them after putting them to good use, though. Kiwi Kiss might be my favorite. It just goes with everything! Pacific Point intimidated me for a good part of the year, but I am finally finding my groove with it.
I see you got your hands on the new Sunshine Morning DSP. Isn’t it just fun?

That bird is really really cute. I just love that set and am going to have lots of fun with it. I’ve noticed there are quite a few sets in the new catty with bird images.
I do love the new In-Colours, but they are quite bright. Something to get used to!
