Make it Monday # 28
Hi there,
Well today I will be playing a little bit of catch up. I love the things I do on my website, and of course sharing them with you too. One thing I have noticed is that I have at least 4 deadlines each week, that being the MIM, Take a pic Tuesday, Challenges on Fridays, and the Scrap it Saturday. Each of these events I love, and will continue with - the best that I can.
I just want to give you a gentle reminder that I am not Wonder woman, nor do I claim to be. I was a little peturbed when I recieved an email this week, stating someone’s dissapointment that I didn’t have the Make it Monday up yet. I know this person meant well, but to be frank it did hurt a little.
First and foremost I am a wife, and a mother of 4 young kids. That will always be my number 1 priority. So if my life with those priorities, gets in the way of me posting something on here, then that is just the way it will have to be. Please remember that I do love what I do on here, but it is FREE for all that view it. With my different committed posts I do each week, they are for fun and inspiration. I really don’t want to set expectations that just may not happen becaue I am caring for my family, or responsibilities. So if i am a little late posting them, I always apologize, but I won’t accept being told off for not having it up in time. I do know however that many of you are thankful and I truly appreciate your lovely comments you give me!
On another note, please remember that it is proper ettiquette to acknowledge the original creator of different pieces of work. I do the tutorials to share with you all, but I don’t appreciate people claiming it to be their idea or not mentioning the original creator. I do my utmost to create something for the Make it Monday, that has never been seen before. I make up the templates, measurements, and ideas by myself without scrouring Splitcoast or other people’s websites for the ideas. Please be reminded that you should credit who has created the original piece of work, when you duplicate them and display something on your website, classes etc. I know most of you do and I thank you sincerely.
Okay so I am sorry to start my post off with the heavy stuff, but I really needed to get that off my chest
So onto some more fun stuff……
Here is your Make it Monday for this week!

I always enjoy reading your Make it Mondays - and all you other posts - no matter what day - or week - you post them!! I just appreciate your wonderful talent and lovely sharing nature!!
You have a gorgeous family and they should always be your #1 priority - I know my family will always be mine!
Thanx for a wonderful new project!
MMM liking the lollies LOL. Keesh you should always put your family first and NEVER let anyone make you feel bad for that. We should all be grateful for all the challenges and inspiration you post here on your blog. Chin up gorgeous
xo
That’s a lovely idea. We appreciate all that you do, in fact I often wonder how you do it all. I am single, no kids, work full-time but don’t get half as much done as you do. When do you sleep??? Keep your priorities right & to hang with the critics!!!
Fiona
Love it Keesh! I was noticing those lollies though, are the Macintosh Toffees? Aren’t those from Canada? Leave it to me to notice…..I am working on my third bag that my dad brought.
Good for you for keeping your priorities in order, I appreciate everything you do, and wonder, like the othes how you get it all done in the day!
Hi Keesh, this is a great MIM. Love the idea of the easter eggs so much I have stamped enough to give to the teachers this Easter. Thanks so much for all the inspiration you give freely
You are a GEM!
hugs xox
What a great little gift bag, the kids think they are fabbo and are going to give them a go!!! I know Mum is going to as well!!! I think you are super woman, truly amazing, inspirational and I just love dropping by and seeing your wonderful work that brightens my day.
Makeesha,
Thankyou for all the wonderful tutorials you do, they are fantastic and the time & effort you put in are greatly appreciated. We are blessed by the inspiration and talents you so freely share with others.
hugs
xoxo
Makeesha,
Thank you, thank you for sharing your talent. Your family should be No1, 2, 3, 4 and so on. I just love seeing all your tutorials, cards and lovely scrapbooking. You don’t have to do it but thank you for sharing.
xxx
What I like about visiting your blog is how regularly you update. Many other SU demo’s out there only update once maybe twice a week at most - you must update at least every second day???
I just can’t believe you find the time to do all you do and yes, like others have said - family always come first.
Keep up the good work! I always find your blog a happy and uplifting place to visit.
Hugs
Narelle
Well said, Keesh!! I love your tutorials & don’t always take a moment to tell you. So I want you to know that I DON”T expect something every Monday, and I know you DO have the best intentions to meet deadlines! When you don’t have something posted I know that YOU HAVE A LIFE! LOL!! I would much rather you take time to relax and let the creative juices flow —- whenever! Thanks for all you do. You are beautiful!!!!

Keesh,
I agree with everything you said!! Family comes first. I always have thought you to be a little bit of wonder woman anyway lol!! Thank you for sharing your lovely work and I know what you mean when someone takes it as their own idea I seen that a couple of times already and you do wonder!!!Anyway thank you for sharing another great Make it Monday. talk soon.
Always an inspiration. Totally understand where you are coming from.
Keesh!!!

Hi Keesh … I can imagine that for someone who has such a kind heart (and actually won the HEART OF STAMPIN’ UP! award) that post was really hard for you to do. I know the last thing you would want is to upset anyone … and I also know that you would prefer not to let people down and disappoint people - you are so reliable & enthusiastic! So … it is sad that who ever was disappointed with you did not stop to think about who you really are … if they did they would have been writing to encourage & thank you for the wonderful efforts you put into your blog instead of thinking only of themselves. It is sad that there are some that don’t realise that a HUGE amount of time and effort goes into doing a post … and keeping these happening regularly! I hope that you have been encouraged by all the lovely feedback … and that you still enjoy being able to share all your wonderful talent & ideas. Don’t be discouraged … there are many who love EVERYTHING you do … and are not worried about deadlines!!! I just wish you were a little late more often
… then maybe I could keep up with you!!!
Stampin’ Hugs, Andrea

Keesha, OMG, how could anyone email you and complain. You are such an inspiration with your creations and the fact that you are so willing to share without charging us is soooo amazing. I personally would be happy to pay for some of your tutorials. Thank you for everything you contribute to the stamping community. It is people like you that make being a part of stampin’up! so wonderful! Keep up the good work and hard work to, I know how hard it can be when you are juggling a family.
Take care of yourself
Angela
Love the adorable goodie bag!!! You always wow me with your creativity and generosity! I’m sure I speak for many of us who read your blog when I say we’re so grateful for all that you share with us. It takes a lot of time and effort to come up with the ideas as well as find the time to make it, take photos and post them online. How you manage to do that while taking care of the family is phenomenal!! Thanks so much for all that you do and share, Keesh!
Hi Makeesha… I don’t think I have ever commented on your blog before… I’m just one of the many people who come regularly and enjoy your work… but after reading your post today, I knew I wanted to comment. Firstly, I think you are amazing! Such original ideas for projects, and plenty of new colour combinations in your cards… you are most definitely a very gifted woman! BUT…it would seem that some people out there don’t appreciate your work. As you say, you don’t copy other work and go to a lot of effort to firstly come up with an innovative idea, but then all the effort that goes into creating the post with the step by step instructions…and quite frankly, I think this kind of effort on your part should not be free!!! I think you should start charging to view your Make It Monday projects… even if you made it a nominal amount each week, people would value your effort more if they had to pay to see it. I for one would pay…every week!!! Seriously…I think this is something you should consider… too much free stuff on craft sites has made people not really appreciate the actual creators of all the work! Love, Melanie xo
I felt soooo bad for you when I read this on your site. You should never feel bad for putting yourself and your family first! I agree with Melanie that you shuld consider charging for your Make It Mondays. I don’t know how you keep coming up with new ideas all of the time and on a deadline to boot. I’m no good under pressure so am in awe of people who can and do it as well as you. Love ya, Leanne.
Makeesha,
I’m new to your site and just love what you do, and how generous you are with your talent, your time and giving of yourself. Never let others dictate how you feel or what you are able to give. And don’t compromise yourself or your family for others. Stay strong.
From all those who haven’t said it THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!
From me Keesh, Thanks for all the effort you put into inspiring others. You do this cause you love what you do and love to share with others. You do try very much to please and will always fulfil your commitments you have. Its a big shoe to fill and you do it well.
Do the best you can when you can, cause family is the most important , your role as a wife and mum and a friend is very important. Me time is also very important to get renewed energy to fill your task everywhere:)
So take a break, smell the fruit and inspire when there’s time.
Love ya Keesh and thanks for always inspiring me with your absolute crafty ideas. May you receive strength everyday!
Enjoy your weekend……..
Keesh,
You continue to amaze and inspire me. Thank you for all you do. I love checking out your blog regularly. I don’t care if your MIM was Thursday, and your Scrap it Saturday was Tuesday…whatever day. It’s all good. Your family and yourself come way before your blog.
Take care of yourself.
Love and God Bless,
Jenny.
Clap, clap, clap. Keesh, I am as proud as punch for you writing this entry, because I know how hard it would have been for you to do. Geez, I don’t even know what day it is half the time, so I’d be stuffed trying to get something up on a website on the correct day. The amount of work you do and the commitment you have to your family and also your admirers and friends is astonishing and I am in awe of everything you do.
Don’t let one person get you down honey, when you know you’ve got one hundred (plus) who are supporting you every step of the way.
Love your work girlfriend - all of it!
You take care.
Bren

Hi Keesh,
let me add my voice to chorus - you do a totally brilliantly, generously, creative blog and how you manage to do that with four kids (and I know your youngest is at home) I don’t know. I struggle to just the mundanities of life done somehow with two around the house and then squeeze in a hour of stamping a couple of nights a week (the others I collapse on the couch and snooze).
Keep up the good work
ignore any critics and enjoy what you are doing. You are appreciated. Thanks.
Kim
Dearest Keesh
I am another one that is amazed at all you do!!! AND I am totally appreciative of your creations and the fantastic MIM’s which really do help the “not so creative”!!! I just looked at all your posts in the last few days and, wow, what can I say but anyone that picks on you should be ashamed of themselves!
Keep being the wonderful you and yes your 4 darlings, oops 5, gotta include hubby, and of course yourself are priority!!!
Stampin hugs from the other side of Aus! Michelle S
Keesh,
I think it was Elanor Rosevelt who said, “no one can make you feel bad about yourself without your permission”. Good on you for not taking that criticism onboard.
Perhaps your detractor can come up with something original and creative? No - I think they have forgotten themselves.
We haven’t forgotten you though, and as the many comments before me show - we all value you for your talent and creativity but also for your family values and priorities.
Please make time out for yourself and know that we’ll all be waiting whenever you have the time to share with us.
Thanks Keesh.
Love, Jane xox
dearest Keesh you already know how much I respect and admire you: you are a wonderful mother, wife, friend and demonstrator. Anything you choose to post on your blog is a bonus as it comes from your generosity and passion to share what you love with all of us. Whether you post daily or weekly, as long as you are enjoying yourself, then that is what matters. Thank you for all your time and creativity, can’t wait until Convention, Yvonne xx
