one for you Karen!

Published by Makeesha under Cards, Colour Challenges

 Hi there!

Well Monday morning it is………wow they come around fast don’t they!

I have had Karen hanging out to see this creation for 2 days! I had to give her some torture, just like she gave me with the Double Dare!

So I have done it, and with no amount of vomiting as well…….honestly it has curbed my hatred for yellow, and allowed me to realize that it isn’t all that bad at all. I had fun making this creation! I don’t even hate it! And without wanting to sound proud, I am kinda proud of myself to pulling this one off.

Now just to see if Karen approves, and passes me on completing her double dare!

Here it is………..the Yellow Monsrocity!

Now of course I had to use the BOUF, since it is Karen’s favourite stamp of all times!!! I have layered the colours up using my markers, and dressing them up with some dazzling diamonds glitter. I stamped the flower 3 times, and layered it up with dimensionals.

I have used So saffron, and very vanilla for the base, and then added different width strips of cardstock across, with some very vanilla wide grosgrain ribbon as well. The greeting is from the Warm words stamp set, and I have added some vanilla half pearls as well

So I really really hope you like it Karen, and thanks for the Double Dare……that was fun! I let you know what your dare will be asap!

I have lots to share today, so there will be a stash of posts, so be sure to come back!

Scrapbook Saturday # 4

Hi ya,

I hope you all had a wonderful Valentines Day yesterday! I certainly did :)

Rod and I don’t usually get into Valentines, we never have really, but this year, Rod told me to keep the date free as he had something planned! I had no idea what it was, so that was a wonderful suprise! We had a fabulous night out together, but I will tell you all about it in another post because I have piccies!

Now I am sorry I didn’t get this page uploaded yesterday! I created it nice and early and then kept on stamping. By the time I looked at the clock, it was time to get in the shower and get dolled up for our night out! So much for watching the clock! sorry about that!

Anyway I am sure you can just pretend that it is very late Saturday or something ……right?

Here is my page for this week:

Something a little different this week. I have used kraft, taken with teal, basic black and real red for my cardstock colour theme. I have also stamped the swirl / scroll from the Scribble this stamp set with Stazon ink. And I have used some acetate as well, to add a different feel to the page. Lastly I used some Stampin’Up rub-ons for the greeting at the bottom.

So there you have this weeks. I have soooooo many things I need to share with you! My new Packages will be released tommorrow, a sneek peek at my Ustamp projects, a recruiting incentive, lots of Blog awards, and the list goes on…….So that means there is lots too look forward to! For the rest though, I am off to enjoy the day with my family!

Hope you are having a great weekend

Inskpirations Inspiration Challenge # 4

 Hi again,

Well who is ready for the next challenge????! I hope you all are!

It is time again for an Inspiration Challenge, and I have a cute image for you :) BUT something else………! This week I am offering the challenge as another contest, and the prize is a secret bundle…..just to keep it fun! I promise you it will be worth it to enter this week!

So here is your Inspiration image to work with:

We are all enjoying lots of this at the moment……..the outdoor BBQ’s. So we best enjoy it whilst they last!

Here is my inspired creations:

For this card, I have taken a similar pattern found on the linen in the image. I have used Ballet blue cardstock, and whisper white. The stamp set is Stampin’Up’s In the Spotlight stamp set. I cut the flowers out and placed a mini glue dot in the centres, and loaded them up with glitter. The greeting is from the Wonderful Favourites stamp set.

I also made another one………. when I saw Lou’s Pick a Petal card she made for last weeks challenge, I was hankering to use that set too! (thanks Lou!) so here is what I quickly made using the same colours….

This card is pretty self explaintory. I have used crystal effects on all the petals so they shine. I used the Sanded background, and the wide blue grosgrain ribbon, with some So Saffron brads as well

So what to play along? - Here are some guidlines…..

1. Make your project (s) using only the colours in the Colour Challenge image.

2. Upload your project to your blog/ website, and or a public viewing forum like Splitcoast stampers. Please state where the challenge has come from, with a link back to this post, so others can play along etc….

3. Come back here and add your name into the Mr Linky, with the correct link to your direct creation

You have until 11:59pm on Thursday 19th February to have your projects linked.

I look forward to seeing your wonderful creations AND picking the winner for the prize too!

Stampin’Up’s contribution to the Bush Fire Appeal…..

Published by Makeesha under Chitchat with Keesh

As you know things are a bit tough at the moment in the state of Victoria, Australia, with the bush fires.

So many homes, So many lives lost, So many animals destitute, it is all truly sad.

As demonstrators, we have contacted Stampin’Up Head Office to appeal to them to provide a means to contribute to the fire appeal. They have heard our plea, (not that we thought they wouldn’t!) and have offered 50%  of the retail value of ten stamp sets, to be donated to the Bush Fire appeal. Isn’t that wonderful!!!

As you know I will be also donating all my commission from all sales in the month of February to this appeal as well. So if you purchase one of the following stamp sets…….70% of your money spent will be donated to the appeal fund!

Here is the list:

Please consider purchasing one of these sets, and you will really be helping those that are in need. You can also scroll down a little and you will see some photos of the fires that have hurt so many.

Thanks for your consideration!
