Make it Monday # 27

Published by Makeesha at 2:53 pm under Fridge Memo Boards, Make it Monday

Hi all!

Well I have finally got this tutorial done for you all. I know you may have seen these around, but I still think they are fantastic, and well this is the Keesh version for you………so enjoy!

Fridge Memo Board

Materials required:

  • Paper trimmer
  • Bone scorer
  • Scallop edge punch
  • Ribbon
  • Cardboard
  • Pencil
  • Cardstock
  • DS paper
  • Brads
  • Note pad

Step 1:

Cut your sheet of cardboard (I have used the card in the DSP packets) into two pieces. One measuring 9cm x 21.5cm’s and the other 8cm’s by 20.5cm’s and set aside.

You will have two pieces like this:

Step 2:

Cut a piece of DSP that measures 12cm’s by 24cm’s

Step 3:

Take the large piece of cardboard, and wrap that DSP around it, tucking the edges in on the underside.

When you turn it over you should have the right side showing up.

Step 4:

Cut a sheet of cardstock that measures 8cm’s by 7.5cms’s and a sheet of DSP that measures 7.5cm’s by 6.75cm’s

Step 5:

Layer the DSP on top of the cardstock, and decorate with some ribbon, a flower, brad and or the scallop edge punch. Score in the centre of the piece of cardstock also.

Step 6:

Take your note pad and add it to the very top of the base card.

Step 7:

Add the top you made and adhere it to the base and notepad.

Step 8:

Turn your base over and with the other piece of cardboard add it to the back, also cut a piece of DSP that fits perfectly so the back is finished off nice and neat.

Step 9:

Add a magnet to the top of your board at the back.

Step 10:

At the front create a little pencil holder by wrapping a narrow strip of cardstock around the pencil to mould the shape. The adhere the cardstock circle to the base, and slip your pencil in.

Finished product:

Here I have used the Bali breeze papers, with some pomegranate ribbon, and the flower fusion felt flowers, with blue rhinestone brads.

Another sample:

For this one I have used the Berry bliss DSP, and the Chocolate wide grosgrain ribbon, and fusion flowers.

Enjoy!

Love Keesh

Hey Keesh!! must admit I haven’t seen one that easy to do - might get one done soonish - lots of blow over smoke from the bushfires here today - it’s very stinky (as DS6 puts it) so will have time to create as the asthmatic DS3 needs to be kept quiet.
