Make it Monday # 26

Well I am back from the hairdressers, and it feels wonderful to have my hair all preened and pampered! Love that feeling of new colour, and a smooth blow dry!

So here is your Make it Monday for this week!…….ENJOY!

Hodgepodge Stationary tins

Materials required:

  • Paper trimmer
  • Empty Hodgepodge hardware tin
  • DS paper
  • Carstock
  • Ribbon
  • Pen
  • Post it note
  • Stamps
  • Envelopes
  • Cards

Step 1:

Cut one 16.5 x 11.5cm square of cardstock, plus one 16 x 11 cm piece of DS paper

Step 2:

Corner round each corner of both sheets

Step 3:

Layer the DS paper onto the cardstock

Step 4:

Adhere your sheet on the top front side of your empty hodgepodge hardware tin

Step 5:

Wrap a strip of ribbon around the base and tie off at the front of the tin. You will need to use adhesive to keep your ribbon on the tin

Step 6:

Decorate the top of your tin. I have used the word cards which I printed from the computer. I also added some extra coordinating cardstock and a stamped flower

Step 7:

Open up your empty tin

Step 8:

Cut the same sized sheets and layer them in the lid and base of the tin

Step 9:

Add a strip of cardstock that is rolled so you can add a pen to the inside of the lid

Step 10:

Add a post it note

Step 11:

Add a little pocket to place your stamps into

Step 12:

On the other side add your envelopes and assorted cards (I just have envelopes in the picture)

Step 13:

Close the lid and you have a complete stationary set that closes shut, and you are making use of your empty tins as well.

Another sample:

With both of the tins I have used DS paper that has Tempting Turquoise in it so that it matches the tins. In the first tin I have used the Petals and Paisley DS paper, and then the following tin, I have used the East Coast Prep papers.

These look better in real life, but at least you get the idea. So be sure to keep your Hodgepodge tins when you finish them!

Take care,

Love Keesh
