Hi everyone,

Well I don’t know about you, but that was another HUGE weekend! We managed to get the whole outside of the house painted plus all the window frames, and the verandah and stairs at the front! I don’t think I have worked that physically for a long time! BUT I did have fun, with my iPod, and paintbrush…I was the one covered with the most paint too

Anyway here is your Make it Monday for this week, so enjoy!

Rectangle Wallets                 

Materials Required:

• Paper trimmer
• Hodgepodge Hardware
• A4 cardstock
• 12 x 12 DS paper
• Mat pack
• Velcro dots
• Bone Folder
• Ribbon
• Tape
• Scallop punch
• Circle punch
• Square punch
• Dimensionals
• Ruler
• Pencil
• Corner rounder

Step 1:

Cut your sheet of A4 cardstock to measure 19cm x 23cm’s

Step 2:

 

Score your cardstock…..with the following measurements.

Along the short side, you want to score 1cm in from each edge on both sides.

Then on the long side, score first at 6cm’s, then 1cm, then 8cm’s, then one cm, and then you should either have 6cm’s left, or if it is a bit over trim the cardstock.

You should have a pattern like this….

 

Step 3:

Cut the 1 cm edge off the one end (so it will be 7cm in from the end of the cardstock) Then cut the little score lines up, like shown in the picture

Step 4:

 

Along the edge that you haven’t cut…. Make a pencil mark in about 2.5cm’s in from the edge.

Step 5:

 

Take your square punch and line it up along the pencil line so that you cut out a strip like this below:

Step 6:

 

Using your corner rounder, round of the edges where you have punched with the square punch. Once done it will look like this:

 

Step 7:

 

Add tape on the shorter end, and the little tabs

Step 8:

 

Using DS paper add strips along both ends. I have also added a strip of cardstock that I have paper pierced two rows.

Step 9:

 

Fold your box up, so that you have one end creating the pocket

Step 10:

 

Take these pieces from your Hodgepodge Hardware tin.

 

Then add them to the top spine of your wallet

Step 11:

 

Tie some co-ordinating ribbon to the hodgepodge. I also found adding a little Mini glue dot under the hodgepodge stops them from swinging around

Step 12:

 

On the inside of your wallet, as a Velcro dot, so that you will be able to seal your wallet closed

Step 13:

 

Add the contents…..here I have added a King Size Kit Kat….or you can fill it with Love Notes and Envelopes…which makes it a fab gift too!

Step 14:

 

Add a decoration on the front in the center

Ah well all I can say is “I am glad that is up for you!” It is mind boggling how long it can take to upload these tutorials sometimes…….don’t get me wrong, I love to share them with you, but I feel like it is such a big job sometimes.
