Howdy everyone…… sheesh one thing about being sick, and slackin off, - you get behind in everything!!! no fairies appear when you have the sniffles, and take over…..bummer about that!

Ah well just what you have been waiting for……the winner announcement, and a new challenge for this week!

There were so many fun entries, and it was SOOOOOO exciting to see so many people join in on my sketch challenge…..thanks so much!!!

I went through all the entries, and just couldn’t go past this one by Carol (same winner as last week!) She was so clever as to make the card, so that it has a removable Bauble to use as a decoration. So you aren’t just giving away a beautiful Christmas card, you are actually giving a gift as well! That idea Rocks Carol and thanks for sharing it with us……might have to whip a few of these up myself I reckon!

Okay so here goes for the new Challenge for this week:…..Going with some colour again

Do you like my little box? Thanks to Janelle who seems to whip these things up in a matter of seconds………made it all cute and matching my header etc……thanks Janelle!

So the colours listed are Chocolate Chip, Regal rose, Very vanilla, and Certainly celery………..

Here is what I put together with it:

I thought I would use that BIG UGLY flower as Karen and Kristy like to put it………ah how can you think that is ugly……it is too beautiful….LOL!!! - gonna make you buy it yet!

I have used Regal rose for the base, adding some Chocolate chip cardstock, which I have added 5 Celery brads to the top and bottom. I used some spotty Celery paper on top and added a strip of Regal rose wide Grosgrain ribbon. The greeting is from the Beautiful life stamp set from Stampin’Up! I have created the flower by stamping it into a Pretty in pink stamp pad, and going over it with my Regal rose Stamp’in write marker to get the two tones effect. I then stamped it onto Vanilla cardstock, cut it out and blinged it up with some glitter. I popped it up with some dimensionals, and cut off the excess on one side. Lastly I added some white faux stitches around the square perimeter for effect.

 Here I have used one of Beate’s Weekend Sketch Challenges, from a couple of weeks ago, but never got the chance to participate!

For this one I have started with a Chocolate chip cardstock which I have stamped with the Paisley background stamp with Chocolate ink. I added the spotty Celery paper which I paper pierced a border all around the edges. I have used the kissing technique with the  flower from the Bodacious Bouquet stamp set from Stampin’Up with the Paisley background stamp and Regal rose ink. I made the base for the flower with my punches and popped the flower up with dimensionals, and added the two leaves stamped in Celery ink. I then added the strip of Regal rose cardstock and celery ribbon, and lasty added the greeting which is from the True Friend stamp set from Stampin’Up, with Chocolate chip ink.

And last of all I made this card  using the True Friend stamp set from Stampin’Up. I again used Chocolate chip cardstock for the base. I have stamped the strips along the bottom with the Background basics stamp set with Chocolate chip ink. I then created the strip accross with Regal rose cardstock, and some wide Celery grosgrain ribbon, stapled at either end. I stamped up the flower stem, using my markers for the colour, and stamped it onto the Vanilla cardstock. I have paper pierced a border around the Very vanillla cardstock, and added a pink rhinestone brad into the centre of the flower. I then stamped up the Thank U with Chocolate ink, and punched it out with my 1 1/4″ square punch double mounting onto some Regal rose cardstock. Lastly I added a tuck of Regal rose ribbon and stapled it to the square. The bottom has been scalloped with my corner rounder and paper pierced in the centre of each scallop.
