Now are you ready for the new challenge for this week?
This month we are celebrating Stampin’Up! ’s 20th Birthday! YAY! Stampin’Up! is such a wonderful company and I am so proud to be affiliated with them. So to tie in with the birthday celebrations this weeks challenge is to:
Make a birthday Love Note.
I have made the following samples I have made for you:
Here i have used my favourite colour combo. I used the Cause for celebrations stamp set, punches, glitter and brads. the greeting is from the Boho backgrounds stamp set.
A little boys card. I used Bayou, Real red, and Soft sky for this card. I also used the Bugs and Kisses stamp set, and some striped real red ribbon.
A party cake! I have used Pretty in pink, Certainly celery, and Regal rose cardstock. The cake is from the Fun & Fast notes stamp set, and I watercoloured it in with my makers. I added some pink taffeta ribbon, paper piercing and celery brads to add detail.
And another little masculine card. I have used Pumpkin pie, bayou and soft sky colours for this card. i used some spring break DS paper and stamped the seaweed onto the paper. I then stamped the fish from the Ocean Commotions stamp set, and mounted him with dimensionals. Lastly I added the greeting from the Happy everything stamp set, and some pumpkin striped ribbon, and not quite navy brads.
So I hope you like those cute little celebratory Love notes! Want to play along???? Well all you have to do, is make your project, and upload it to your blog or another accessible forum, then link your project to the comments at the end of this post. I will be listing all the contributions onto my blog the following week. You will have till midnight Thursday evening to have your project linked.
I look forward to seeing all your beautiful creations!

These love notes are absolutely adorable!! I think I will get a chance to make one or two tonight
Can’t wait! What a fab challenge idea.
Wow, Makeesha. You’ve set the bar very high with your gorgeous love notes. They all look amazing.
I also wanted to thank you for the thoughts you shared in your Regionals post about ‘create, not procrastinate’ & using the fab resource we have in the catty. It really struck a chord with me & has helped me focus on getting more out of my valuable stamping time…..although I have a loooong way to go to be as productive as you.
Hope you have a great weekend. Best wishes, Di
Thanks for a great challenge Makeesha! It was really fun to do, and I might just make a few more love notes from now on (:
