Make it Monday # 11 - Photo Boards
YAY! I have finally managed to get this up for you. I hope you like this one. It is something a little different, but they are cute and fun.
I hope you all had a great weekend! I had a great day yesterday, as my parents took the oldest three kids to the Royal Show for the day. So I had a day pretty much to myself because it was a public holiday, Janaya spent time with Daddy outside in the garden and I got to stamp, UNINTERRUPTED! That is something that doesn’t happen too often. I even had a new album on my iPod so I had that crancked and got to sing along……..bliss
Material Required:
Paper trimmer, Sanding block, Chipboard, DS paper, Large bulldog clip, Bone scorer, Scissors, Ribbon,Stiff cardboard
Step 1:
Take a square piece of chipboard. You can make it any size, but I have used a 14cm x 14cm square here
Step 2:
Cut a identical size piece of DS paper to cover the chipboard base
Step 3:
Sand the edges of your chipboard / paper so that you smooth off all the edges
Step 4:
Pretty up your Bulldog clip with some ribbon
Step 5:
Decorate the rest of your board with extra paper, stamping, tags or anything!
Prep your photo to go onto the board
Step 6:
Cut a strip of stiff cardboard. I have used the packaging cardboard in the packs of DS paper.
I cut it 5 cm wide x 14cms in length
Step 6:
Score the cardboard 5 cm’s in at either end (narrow end)
Step 7:
Fold the cardboard and attached one end of it to the back of the photo board.
It should look like this:
Step 8:
Put your board all together ready for your photo. This way once you have made your board, you can change the photos whenever you want!

Other samples:
Here I have used the Brocade Basics stamp set, and some DS paper from the Secret Garden scrapbooking kit. This is a photo of my friend Marissa, her hubby Michael.
And for this one I used Berry bliss paper for the base, and created the little flower with some regal rose wide grosgrain ribbon and a clear button.
These would make great gifts for someone special, and they are so super easy! I hope you have fun making these, and I would love to see yours too!
I have some other stamped images to show you, but the kids are chomping at the bit for some attention. It is now school holidays here for 2 weeks, so it should be interesting keeping 4 kids amuzed……! I love the holidays, as it is always nice to have a break from the buzzing around every morning, but my house suffers, as it is amazing how much mess 4 little kids can make!!!
Wish me luck!
