Make it Monday # 10
Whilst I have called it Make it Monday, I do realize that it is Tuesday today! BUT there is always a story to justify it!
Yesterday i knew that the camera batteries needed charging and so took them out of the camera and popped them into my jacket pocket. Being a Monday….that mean lots of washing for 6 people in my little side of the world, and when I loaded my machine, I realized that well my jacket needed washing too so, off it went and into the machine. Forgetting the batteries!
Then late afternoon I prepped everything to get your Make it Monday put together, and whoops where do you think I found the camera betteries????? Yep at the bottom of the washing machine.
I tried them out in the camera, but they were completely fried by the soap suds and water. SO hence no Make it Monday.
I hope you can cope with a Make it Tuesday just for this week! Okay better get on with it hey!
I call these Hodgepodge Keyrings and I just made them up myself
Materials required:
Acetate, Punches, Stamps, Stamp pads, Ribbon, Hodgepodge Hardware, Cardstock, Mini glue dots
Step 1:
Take two identical pieces of Hodgepodge Hardware and two complimentary brads. Here I have used the Styled silver Hodgepodge in the Designer label punch shape.
Step 2:
Taking my Designer label punch, I punched out two shapes of the Acetate.
Step 3:
Stamp up the images you want to be shown in the inside of your keyring and punch them out with the co-ordinating punch.
Step 4:
Add the two brads to the one end of the harware. You will need to trim off the tails a little.
Step 5:
Take your punched out stamped images and layer them wrong sides together with dimensionals in between them.
Step 6:
Start putting it together, first with the Acetate, then your stamped images.
Step7:
Put adhesive on the other piece of Hodgepodge and close it together. I used lots of mini glue dots, but your could also use Crystal effects, and then seal it with a peg till it sets.
Step 8:
Make sure it is all fitting in nicely on the other side also.
Step 9:
Add it to a ring and decorate with some co-ordinating ribbon
The other side….
And it dangles like this
Other Samples:
Here I have again used the Styled silver Hodgepodge, and the Think happy thoughts, and Seeing spots stamp sets, with Guava and Pomegranite inks and ribbon
And here is a Masculine one that I haven’t quite got a brass ring for yet, but you get the idea!
Well these were great fun, and they are so unbelievable easy too! Thanks for your patience and I hope you have fun making these cute keyrings.
We had the Stampin’Up training Regionals here in Perth this past Saturday and what a wonderful day it was!!! I was honoured to be able to do a presentation, and so I will be back……after I have taken photos, to show you what i did and I might even include a picture of me on stage!

Hello Makeesha,
I had a great time making these, they are so moorish (if you can call it that) and almost seemed good enough to eat, I kept making them until I ran out of those rings and had to make a dash out to the shops to get some more.
