Be Inspired Challenge # 16

Published by Makeesha under Cards

Hello again,

I have just managed to  quickly put together a card for Beate’s Inpspiration challenge this afternoon. It was a little different and it took me a couple of days to think of what I wanted to do, but here it is….

This was Beate’s Inspiration…..

The is the inspired project….

Okay here I have used Basic black cardstock which I stamped the Scroll from the Baroque Motifs stamp set onto. I had to do it twice because on black cardstock the whisper white stamp pad wasn’t quite white enough. That is why there is a slight shadow to it. I have used the Cherish Memories Rub-ons to do the work Cherish. Lastly the flower is stamped with Stazon ink onto whisper white cardstock and then I have used Heat and stick powder and Dazzling diamonds glitter so get the sparkle all over. Lastly I cut them out and mounted them. Adding some small white half pearls from the pretties kits to bling it up some more. Oh and along the bottom I have used my corner rounder to get the scalloped edge and then paper pierced the little scallops. There is also a strip of whisper white cardstock stuck the the inside of the card so that there is a contrast to the scallops. You can’t see it on the photo as it is right at the bottom of the card.

Thanks for looking and have a great weekend!

4 the same yet different…..speak english I hear you say!

Published by Makeesha under Scrapbooking

Okay thinking of a title for this one….I just kept thinking “4 the same, yet different” and nothing else. So that is what you got. Oh and I will explain :)

Remember yesterday I showed you this scrapbook page…..

Well I had so much fun with this sketch that I wanted to do it over….yep you guessed it 4 times.  By the way this sketch I kinda lifted from a really old Stampin’Up catty, I think it was 2004-2005. Anyway I think is works a treat!

img_0472-custom.JPG

This is my second oldest, Elijah who is a little camera shy….I think you can tell. I have used Blue Bayou cardstock for the base and then mounted it with River rock and a sheet of DS paper from the Outback paper series. I also used a strip of Chocolate chip cardstock. The large star I cut out of the same sheet of DS paper, and then mounted it on Bayou, and then River rock cardstock to get the multilayered colour effect. I added a punch of the round tab punch, and the greeting from Wonderful Favourites stamp set, river rock double stitched ribbon and some copper brads for embellishments.

Here is my next son, Malakai who has the cheekiest grin ever! I have used Old olive, Blue bayou, and Pumpkin pie for the cardstock with some DS paper from the Spring break pack. I then stamped up the Big and Little pieces with the same ink colours and punched them out with my Stampin’Up circle punches. Followed by a round tab punch and a photo corner punch, antique brass eyelets, and Soft sky double stitched ribbon.

Then last of all I made this page of my little monkey Janaya. I love these colours which I think I have told you that already, But i just love how they go together. I have used Purely pomegranite, Regal rose, and Pumkin pie for the cardstock and inks. I used the Priceless stamp set (of course) and blinged up the little flowers with some dazzling diamonds glitter and the scallop punch. Lastly again I used the photo corner punch, round tab punch, and the wonderful favourites stamp set.

So now you can see that that there are 4 the same but different…..unda standda da langwije???

Ha, have a great weekend everyone……just saw Kristina Werner’s colour challenge so I’m off to have a little play along!

Oh my…….What a suprise!

Published by Makeesha under Chitchat with Keesh

Well I have had a very big suprise!!!!

A little while ago, after participating in so many of Beate’s challenges, I really just wanted to say thanks to her for all the effort she goes into maintaining her blog for all us addicts, AND putting together all the challenges. I know it must be a huge job, as I know just maintaining my little blog does take time and effort.

So I made her a little card of appreciation and posted it. Now to my complete amazement she has posted it to her blog!

I now have a big *BLUSH* happening and am still a little dazed.

Thanks Beate for that wonderful suprise, and again for all you do for us papercrazed people the world over!

Priceless Fun…..

Published by Makeesha under Cards

Hello again…See I am making up for having sick kids and showing you what I have been up to the past couple of days with 3 posts in one morning!

I had heaps of fun creating the following 4 cards. I have used the same 4 colours on each, and the same stamps and embellishments for all four.

So I will just show you them and add the project recipe at the bottom .

Number 1….

Number 2….

Number 3….

Number 4….

Are they not sweet? I just love pastel colours and especially together! At the moment Priceless is my all time Favourite stamp set…not doubt that will change, as before I was madly in love with Scribble this (Doodle this in the US) but Stampin’Up continues to amaze me with what they release, and I am sure to have many “Favourites” in one year :)

Okay for the materials I have used the following:

Cardstock: Regal rose, Apricot appeal, Soft sky, and Certainly celery

Stamps: Linen Background, Priceless, So swirly, Jumbo roller, Warm words

Stamp pads: Regal rose, Apricot appeal, Certainly celery, Basic grey

Embellishments: Certainly celery wide grosgrain ribbon, Certainly celery brads, Certainly celery prints DS paper pack

And I think that was all.

Enjoy,

SCS Colour Challenge for this week!

Published by Makeesha under Cards, Scrapbooking

Well this weeks Colour challenge for Splitcoast Stampers is Regal Rose, Real Red, and So Saffron! I pulled these colours and and very quickly made a sour face……ewww notta likin dis a much!!!

BUT…..yep you guessed it, I even suprised myself! Totally true! I had so much fun with this combo in the end that I will definitely be doing it again!

img_0445-custom.JPG

First I made this fun little Birthday Card….going with Square again which as you probably know……..I just love! So the base is Real red cardstock which I added a strip of Regal Rose DS paper with spots that I paper pierced around the edge. The cake is from the Big Bold birthday stamp set. I have stamped the little spots in the background with so saffron. The cake is stamped with the combo stamp pads, cut out and mounted. I also added a little half circle at the top with Regal rose cardstock. For extra feature I used the happy birthday stamp from the same set as a little border of the saffron carstock which I stamped with Whiser white stamp pad. Lastly adding some Dazzling diamonds glitter and rhinstone brads for bling.

img_0447-custom.JPG

I haven’t used this set in ages and so it was really fun to pull it out again. It is Pick a Petal which is so verstaile, a little tricky to get the petals looking in proportion but fun all the same. Here I have used a Regal rose base which I stamped with little circles from the Polka Dots and Paisley stamp set with Real red ink. I added a knot of Regal rose wide Grosgrain ribbon at the top. The Petals I stamped with Real red ink onto Regal rose DS paper and cut them out. The stem is from the Stem Sayings stamp set which I added some leaves from the Bodacious bouquet stamp set. Lastly I punched out a 1 inch circle of So Saffron DS paper and placed a clear button on top . I did a little bit of sponging around the edges too.

img_0448-custom.JPG

A colour challenge isn’t complete till you see it work with scrapbooking too (just my opinion :)) So here I have put it to work. I just knew the photo I would use for this one, as the little girls are wearing just the right colours!

The base is Regal rose cardstock which I rolled the Flitting By jumbo roller (another set I haven’t used for donkeys years!) in Real red ink. I have used my white gel pen to highlight the wings. The photo is mounted on So saffron cardstock which I added some wide Grosgrain Regal rose ribbon and some Real red brads. I used the greeting from the Wonderful Favourites stamp set, and made the big butterfly with the Bold Butterfly stamp set.

Well that is my creations from the challenge…….

Thanks for looking!
