Birthday Invite

Published by Makeesha under Cards

Hi all,

Well I have to say I was very delighted when we got our new Mini Catalogue and to see that it had the “Scribble This” Stamp set in there. I remember seeing it in the US one and thinking to myself, “If that comes to Australia” I am going to make my birthday invites with it. So good thing I could buy it in July and have my invites out in time!

This is the invite I made for everyone…….yes it was time consuming, but I really love them!…..after a few blisters from cutting all those flowers out!

Stamp-a-thon Projects

Published by Makeesha under Stampin'Up Events

Okay Okay….finally got the moment to sit here and add these pictures for you all to see. Thanks for your patience. After trouble with the camera and cropping all the photos and shrinking them etc…they are here :)

There were 8 projects in total on the day and they are here below:

This is using the beautiful, Bundle of Joy Stamp set from the current mini catalogue.

copy-of-copy-of-img_2113-custom.JPG

This is a cute gift pack that we rolled with the Polka dots and petals Jumbo roller with the Orchid Oppulance stamp pad and then created the little tag using the tag punch and the Taggers dozen stamp set. Great way to dress up a plain white paper bag! (and cheap!)

This is a gorgeous little lolly / gift bag. So easy to make and you can get two out of one A4 sheet! Thanks to Suzanne in QLD for sharing this idea with me! Love it.

This is a cute pocket card using the Wild about You stamp set.

This is a 6 x 6 scrapbook page that everyone got to make using my favourite stamp set from the mini catalogue

“Scribble This” !

This card is made using a very different template. I have tried to show you how it folds together. Something a little bit fun and different using my fav colours together, Pretty in Pink and Chocolate Chip! I used the “Like it a latte” set from the mini catty too!

img_2127-custom-2.JPG

This is a window card using the Blossoms Abound stamp set.

img_2130-custom-2.JPG

This card idea I got from my upline Ngaire. I loved it so much I wanted everyone to make it too :)

So there you have the 8 projects. I actually did something what I called a triple template to show on the day. For every project that everyone made I actually made 3 extra using the same template, but using different stamps, cardstock and colours. So I have uploaded them for you below. All of these I created myself and was so astounded at how really easy it was and FAST. So don’t think you have to re-create the wheel, just pull a card out that you love and vwhalla you have a totally new look! ENJOY!

PS they are in the order following what I have displyed above :)

These three cards are the template of the Giraffe card.

copy-of-copy-of-img_2114-custom.JPG

Here I used the On the Spot roller. I thought that since these are all very similar, I wouldn’t take that many photos and bore you. I use Scribble this roller and Bodaicous Bouquest roller on the other two bags and used the Taggers Dozen stamp set on all of them.

Here is the photo of the other 3 lolly bags that I made also.

Ah and at long last the long way cards!

Thanks for having the patience with all these. I hope they provide some inspiration and open your eyes to the possibilities with one template idea! WOW that only took 4 and 1/2 hours to do………. but I know you love it, so enjoy.

Off to load other areas of my web….then again maybe I should feed the troops!

Back soon,

 Love Keesh xx

Stamp-a-thon!

Published by Makeesha under Stampin'Up Events

Well what can I say the Stamp-a-thon has been and gone and what a wonderful day it was!!!!

Firstly I want to acknowledge that this day wouldn’t have been successful if it wasn’t for all the wonderful ladies that attended the day and got right in there and enthusiasically joined in!

The day was extra special because is was devoted to be a fundraiser for the National Breast Cancer Foundation (Australia).

Recently a special friend and fellow demonstrator was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. She has undergone a double Mastectomy and is currently undergoing Chemotherapy. I was devastated by the news as she is young and has two gorgeous boys the same age as 2 of my own children. So I thought lets have a great day of doing what we love best and see if we can raise us some money for this great Foundation. So it took many late nights of planning, but it was worth every minute!

I had 48 people register to attend the day. They all paid $35 and they made 8 projects each and got served lunch and morning and afternoon tea. It was held at my church hall in Armadale which was the perfect venue. Everyone that attended recieved a pink gift bag that had all the materials prepared to make the 8 projects, as well as a roll of double sided tape, a new mini catalog, an order form and a great brochure about Breast Cancer. I made everyone name badges too.

I set up a huge demo board full of projects and new ideas with the stamps from the mini catalog. I have heaps of photos so I would love to share them with you!

Firstly, I would definitly wouldn’t have been able to have all the materials ready in time if it wasn’t for my wonderful helpers, Ngaire, Sandra and Irene who came to my place for a day to help me cut all the materials. It took quite a few hours, but we managed to get there by 4:30pm! Yes……50 people x 8 projects….That is 400 envelopes of materials to prepare!

Well I think I have put lots of pictures on here ( hope I haven’t bored you) but I really wanted to put them all up here, as it was a special day and I didn’t want to miss anything out. I hope to also upload the projects……. off to do that now and see how I go!

Oh better also mention the outcome…..

The day was very successful and all together we raised $1565 for the National Breast Cancer Foundation so I was really happy with that! Thanks to everyone who in their way contributed towards the day and attended, I am very grateful!
