Stamp-a-thon!
Well what can I say the Stamp-a-thon has been and gone and what a wonderful day it was!!!!
Firstly I want to acknowledge that this day wouldn’t have been successful if it wasn’t for all the wonderful ladies that attended the day and got right in there and enthusiasically joined in!
The day was extra special because is was devoted to be a fundraiser for the National Breast Cancer Foundation (Australia).
Recently a special friend and fellow demonstrator was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. She has undergone a double Mastectomy and is currently undergoing Chemotherapy. I was devastated by the news as she is young and has two gorgeous boys the same age as 2 of my own children. So I thought lets have a great day of doing what we love best and see if we can raise us some money for this great Foundation. So it took many late nights of planning, but it was worth every minute!
I had 48 people register to attend the day. They all paid $35 and they made 8 projects each and got served lunch and morning and afternoon tea. It was held at my church hall in Armadale which was the perfect venue. Everyone that attended recieved a pink gift bag that had all the materials prepared to make the 8 projects, as well as a roll of double sided tape, a new mini catalog, an order form and a great brochure about Breast Cancer. I made everyone name badges too.
I set up a huge demo board full of projects and new ideas with the stamps from the mini catalog. I have heaps of photos so I would love to share them with you!
Firstly, I would definitly wouldn’t have been able to have all the materials ready in time if it wasn’t for my wonderful helpers, Ngaire, Sandra and Irene who came to my place for a day to help me cut all the materials. It took quite a few hours, but we managed to get there by 4:30pm! Yes……50 people x 8 projects….That is 400 envelopes of materials to prepare!
Ngaire getting great use of her cutter!!!
Darling daughter Tiarne filling all the bags with Chocolate Eclairs
Sandra packing all the gift bags for the participants….

Well I think I have put lots of pictures on here ( hope I haven’t bored you) but I really wanted to put them all up here, as it was a special day and I didn’t want to miss anything out. I hope to also upload the projects……. off to do that now and see how I go!
Oh better also mention the outcome…..
The day was very successful and all together we raised $1565 for the National Breast Cancer Foundation so I was really happy with that! Thanks to everyone who in their way contributed towards the day and attended, I am very grateful!

Hi Keesh,
Although I have nothing to do with stampin’ I just wanted to congratulate you on such a great event. Well done! What a HUGE job. How on earth did you ever manage that with your busy family. I know you had helpers, but still…all I can say is Wow! Also just wanted to say, love your hair cut/colour. Looks fantastic.
My dear friend, you are such a champion!!! What a fantastic event YOU put together - a huge pat on the back. The projects you had for everyone to make were your usual beautiful style, and the venue looked fabulous too. I have loved reading about it all and seeing all the photos - everyone having a lovely day. Well done Keesh and congratulations on the success of your day, your certainly deserved it!
