Random samples

Published by Makeesha under Cards

I have a few cards that I have been meaning to post on here for awhile, but haven’t had the chance to. Anyway here they are.

Hope you like them!

This card I copied off one I saw at convention and really loved the colour combination. It is using the dotted background stamp and the be happy stamp set for the tag and flowers. The colours used are pumpkin pie, and ballet blue.

I haven’t used the Roses in Winter stamp set for ages, but I had someone request it for their workshop at home. So I finally pulled it out and put this together. Everyone really liked it which was a relief. I think it is subltle and sweet. Definitely would love to do more with this set, but it is always a time thing!!! I only wish I had all day to stamp!

This card I designed for the marker special last month and have finally shared it with you. I use the cool carribean cardstock on the base which I stamped with the little stamp from little pieces. Then I pierced the apricot strip on both sides. Then I stamped the pink passion cardstock with the dotted background stamp. I used the cake stamp from the greetings galore stamp set which I coloured with markers. Then I punched out the cardstock with the tag punch and dressed it up with some black gingham ribbon. I also used the happy birthday stamp from the cheery chat stamp set.

This card I also got from the convention where they taught us how to create a notebook page tear look using one of the punches. I just love this stamp set and so I just had to make it and share it with you.

Here I used one of my favourite colour combinations, bashful blue and chocolate chip. I used the On the spot background stamp and seeing spots stamp set. Then added the cirlce punches on the side to create the tab. Then added the blue gingham ribbon and silver cord, along with a silver brad for assessories.

These two are the same card, but with different colours. Again it is the seeing spots stamp set. I used a template to get the circles even and then I used the stamp a majig to line up the stamps in the centres.

This is the first card I made with the seaside sketches stamp set. I have to say that this card was inspired by something I saw on splitcoast, so don’t want to say that I completely designed it.  I just love not quite navy!!! Anyway I used bordering blue stamped with the print patter in NQ navy. Then I stamped the image and coloured using the watercolour wonder crayon with my blender pen. (which are on sale this month!) I added the tabs with cardstock punched with the word window punch and added a brad. Then I also created the moments tag using the expressive flexible phrases.

Last of all….this one. When I got together with my upline Ngaire and all my sideline we had to do a sketch challenge. Ngaire picked the design from page 117 (b). It was such a good idea, as I have really started to use my catalogue lots for inspiration and card layouts. Well I had been dying to use the heat and stick powder since I learnt that at convention. So I put it with the good things grow stamp set and this is what I came up with.

Well that is all my random samples………now for some more. Stay tuned!

Love Keesh x

“Anything but a card” - Demonstrators get together

Published by Makeesha under 3-D Items

Every month my wonderful demonstrators come around and we have the fun of stamping together. Each person is responsible for bringing a design and enough for everyone to make one. That way we always get a great variety of things to make.

At our last get together we had a “anything but a card” topic. As I had a couple of new demonstrators I arranged their swaps so they could participate for their first one without the stress of deciding what to make.

So I thought that I would just quickly share them with you. If you have any queries about them or want the patterns, then please just email me!   Enjoy!

This first project is a box template which I traced and then cut out, scored, and put together. I have rolled it with the buds and blossoms roller in pink passion ink. Then I have used the large stamp from the Because of you stamp set and then used my stamp pads ( apricot, carribean, celery, pixie pink) and a blender pen to colour in the image. Then I cut it out and attached it to the side of the box. Then added the organza and silver twine to add bling.

This is a little tag gift pack that springs out from the base. I have used the Terrific tags from the level one hostess stamp sets. I stamped them in celery, rose red,  and bashful blue. You give it as a gift to someone and they can use the tags as an instant card. Kinda like card candy! This was a fun project but actually took quite a while to put together.

This is a cute little bag and here I have made it into a man bag! It has a little tab inside to stample a bag of chocolates or lollies to. This is such an easy pattern and I thank Suzanne from Queensland for sharing it with me! I used the Buckaroo blue cardstock. Then I stamped the top with the print pattern from the background basics stamp set. Then made the circle with the circle of friendship stamp set, and the circle punches. As for the bottom I used scrapbook paper from the sentimental journey paper series. Then added the chocolate ribbon as the handle.

This is a post it note holder. It is a really cute gift and costs less than $1. I used the cameo coral, bareley banana, and bashful blue card stock. I also used the Be happy stamp set. I stamped the large flower on white gloss cardstock to give it a shiny appearance, then added a button. I used the slit punch on either side and then added the eyelets to them. You punch the handle out with the word window punch and add some organza to keep it together. Very easy, but cute too!
